The Collector’s Daughter is a duel time novel set in the 1920’s and 1970’s and moves from London to Egypt. In 1972 Lady Evelyn Herbert, is recovering from another stroke which has badly effected her speech and movement. When Dr. Ana Mansor comes to talk to Eve about her time in Cairo and the exploration of the Tutankhamun’s tomb in the 1920’s, her memory returns and she has to decide if to reveal the truth about that time.
As well as this storyline, we find out about Eve’s time as a debutante and her love affair with her husband Sir Brograve Beauchamp. This is a fascinating read, and a good choice for fans of historical fiction.
