So this was a weird read for me. I enjoyed reading it and read it within a day but there were times where it felt really badly written. There’s a lot of very short sentences and at some points it felt like things didn’t flow very well. The ending for me is quite predictable but the way it’s revealed is almost as though the authors given up and just wants to get it all out on paper. I’m not sure if it’s a language things but it just doesn’t sound right all the time! The actual storyline is very good though it’s just the writing style that I struggled with.
⭐️⭐️
First of all, I think following a young British Indian nurse was amazing, I rarely see Indian nurses represented in many books at all really, so this was the perfect read for me. Again, it’s a mystery thriller that I throughly enjoyed. Thrillers do take a lot for me to enjoy them because they can be so difficult to engage with and sometimes the plots are all over this place and they are rarely rated highly by me at all. But in this case I think everything was well done and executed perfectly. I’ll definitely pick up more from this author soon. 5/5 stars!
