A story that has you at the beginning and once you finally get into the story you will stay with it until the end. I will say at the beginning it took me a little bit to get connected with everything but then I was able to follow along and this was a good and exciting book. Camryn takes a job as a nurse in the desert at a secret facility and discovers that the people there are using the patients there as their lad experiments testing new drugs on them. She becomes concerned with one patient Brooks, who has bruises and is dirty. She is told that he is always escaping or trying to so he must be punished yet he also has a lack of memory. Feeling sorry for this man she works at helping him escape but while she does now they are both at risk and both must find help and bring down this facility. A good book with good characters and a lot of action.
A quick read that will take you on a roller coaster of emotions and have you falling in love with the characters. You'll be holding your breath throughout this book. So much so you'll not want put this book down.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This series just keeps getting better , this is the third book and whilst I don’t think you have to read them all to enjoy this , it’s definitely a better read if you choose to. I have to say I need me a Brooks in my life, hot, strong, sexy, this is a great read, action-packed intense and super steamy.
Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. This was my first book by this author and I realize there were previous books but I went forward anyways. I instantly was captivated. I enjoyed the main characters chemistry, the story, the action. This was my kind of book and I look forward to seeing more from this author!
Great book dialogue. Also I liked the heroine and the overall story..It kept me engaged and wondering what will happen next. Thanks netgalley!
always end up loving Samantha Wilde books.
This is the third book in the Blood Brothers series and the second one I’ve read (I somehow haven’t read the first one yet).
This kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and the romance was believable as well. The ending was a little disappointing, which made me deduct a star. I was hoping for some more action and a bigger role for Camryn’s past.
full of action, heat, romance, deadly encounters, this story has it all and will keep you gripped and reading page after page!
Holy hell, if you thought that Bound and Traced needed a suspense label, then Unchained will need a warning sign! Samantha Wilde just tears your heart out and leaves it for a bloody pulp!
Brooks Ivanov is being held captive for almost a year now. He has been administered drugs, which make him a killing machine without a free will. The rest of the time, he is being sedated and chained to his bed. Camryn is on the run. After turning her nephew in, he has promised to kill her, when he comes out of jail. And he is out now. So a part-time job in the desert of Utah seemed like a perfect hide-out.
Her job is to keep her patients sedated, so easy enough. But when Brooks awakes before she sedates him, he tells her, they use him as a lab rat. Surely, his bruised body and scrapes certainly suggest that something strange is going on at the facility so, Camryn frees Brooks and helps him escape. However, now they are both being hunted. While suffering very heavy withdrawals from the drug, Brooks tries to remember who he is. Slowly he regains some memories and he learns he has a sister: Alexis Ivanov (or ‘Lexi’ for short). Her story is told in Bound. So, now we finally know what happened the night the Ivanov’s house got burned down. With his memories restored, Brooks only has one goal: destroying the facility where they experimented on him and killing the man responsible. But when Camryn’s nephew is closing in, Brooks need to decide on his priorities: revenge or saving the woman who has not only saved him, but also stole his heart?
Gutwrenching, full of suspense and with some unexpected twists and turns. certainly not for the faint of heart, but I absolutely loved it! Five out of five stars and I do hope that Cole will get his own story as well. Thank you Netgalley for providing the arc.
I’m really enjoying this series and there’s so much more than I expected to it. I loved the suspenseful moments and the characters, their interaction was on point all the time in this given situation and the romance story was nice as well.
I personally don’t like the cover so much for this story and think that maybe a more non descriptive one would make more people read it and look it up, but that’s just my opinion.
Looking forward to read more by the author in the future
This romantic suspense novel was better than I expected it to be. A great mix between romance and suspense, with realistic interpersonal relationships and a love story for the ages. This is book three in an ongoing series, but for me it was the first book that I read in it, so I will definitely be going back to read the previous two books about Nash and Dare. They are not necessary to understanding this story, but it definitely provides a background that is nice to have. I hope to see more of Cam and Brooks in the upcoming books, which I will check out as soon as they are available.
Camryn has started a new job as a nurse at a remote facility, which is a great place to hide and not be found. She just created her new identity and is looking forward to a great first day. When she walks in she is immediately taken aback by how there are 12 floors underground and then the main floor. The patients are not what she was expecting. Her first job of the day is to give Brooks his shot at the exact time the head nurse Jen told it. It can’t be early or late. She gets caught up in cleaning him since he is covered in dirt she didn’t give him the shot on time. He wakes up and starts to talk to Camryn. Telling her things that, along with her gut feeling, is very disturbing. He has been beaten, made to do things that she can’t Beardsley comprehend, and has been used as a test subject for new medicine. On her second day there she ends up helping Brooks escape. Nobody deserves to go through what Brooks has. They both end up on the run from medical people who want Brooks back. Along they way Brooks is becoming his old self and gets some of his memories back. Camryn is starting to really care for Brooks and she wants to help him get his freedom for good.
I can’t finish this book. I can’t even get past the third chapter. It’s so dark and not my type of book at all. The hurting of others voluntarily or involuntarily does not make a good read for me.
This is the first time I’ve read a book by this author. This was a different kind of story than I am used to. Against his will, Brooks is given a drug to make him like a super soldier. A nurse there, Cam sees how he is being treated and breaks him out. Pretty much the whole story is Cam and Brooks on the run trying to keep away from the lab that really wants Brooks back and his extremely upset with Cam for breaking him out. This was a good read overall.
I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book
When there has been an attempt on your life once, your main objective is to lay low and not be noticed. But when you take a job at a secrete lab that is giving people superhuman powers, things do not go unnoticed and you are on the radar.
This is action-packed intense and super steamy. I have read the previous books in the series and have been waiting to see where the author was going to take us with Brooks's story. She did not disappoint in giving us what this series needed. This romantic thriller will have you on the edge of your seat and flipping those pages just as fast as you can.
Camryn Bayfield is supposed to be laying low. She's in hiding after an attempt on her life. But her plan goes off the rails when she takes a job at a rehab facility in the desert of Utah. Gut instincts are telling her that things aren't right at this facility, especially when she's told to sedate a delusional patient who shows clear signs of abuse and neglect. Instead of doing her job, Cam finds herself aiding in the man's escape. For nearly a year, Brooks has been used as a test subject for an experimental drug. His memories are fuzzy but he knows that what they are doing is wrong and he wants out. The drug gives him superhuman strength and endurance. He attempts to escape multiple times but is continually captured again, until a nurse helps him. On the run, Brooks regains his memories and is hell bent on vengeance. But Cam's own past is coming after her too.
A sizzling steam fest, I loved this book way more that Wilde's other book in the series about Dare. Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. Tons of action, a typical romantic thriller with a dark male MC and all the best romance book tropes, like lost memories and one bed at the hotel. The characters are strong, determined and flawed. Brooks grapples with his trauma, Cam battles her own fears. Both have opposing ways of handling conflict which puts them at odds until Cam comes to understand why Brooks wants to kill his captors. Cam is caring and compassionate, doing the right thing even when others tell her not to. Lots of trigger warnings, captivity, abuse, death and violence. Lots of slow burn romance, plenty of passion and the plot of an action movie keep the book pace fast and quick. A great weekend read.
So based off the blurb I really wanted to love this story. And, honestly, I just didn't love it. This is a new to me author-so I was hopeful because I am always looking for new author's to read. But it almost felt like a let down to me when I got to the end. I didn't read the previous books because well, I honestly didn't realize this was part of a series. And I perfectly understood everything that was happening in it-even without reading them. For about half the book, it was decent. I liked the characters and the story line the way it was heading. And then the last half of the book I was left with this feeling of wth did I just read?? I really don't understand how the last parts of it played out the way they did. It just doesn't make sense to me. I don't want to say a lot, because that would be a spoiler and I absolutely hate spoilers! But, I just felt like the author let me down with how the last of it played out. I don't think I will be reading anymore by this author unfortunately because I just felt like the last of it was almost like the author didn't know how she to make it work for her story. I don't even know, it was just such a let down for me.
A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I do not give spoilers so please look elsewhere. You have the right to not have the wonderful story ruined with spoilers. THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING! This is the perfect end of the series and I can't wait to see if we get more for Samantha Wilde.
Wow. I'd read the first in the series and found it exciting and well-written, but I have to say that this book blew it out of the water. I really loved Brooks & Cam's dynamic as well as the very captivating and titillating backstory of kidnapping and dosing with a super drug. Very unique. I also have to say that it was refreshing to have the heroine say, 'yeah, sure, you can kill the bad guys' instead of trying to convince him to forgive them or whatnot. That's a huge plus in my book!
This book took me on a journey and I’m still trying to catch my breath!
I gobbled it up within a day and have zero regrets. I had really enjoyed Book 2 in the series…but this is just something else.
Where can I get a Brooks please? The man is hot, loyal and strong! He is just 🤤🤤🤤 and I love him. And yes, I claim him. I’ll fight Camryn for him. The man is a dream.
The plot:
Brooks has blocked his memories after being imprisoned and being the test subject of an experimental drug for almost a year. He has tried to escape countless times and gets punished every time for his efforts.
Camryn is on the run from her drugged up, corrupt cop nephew after he attempts to kill her. She finds herself working in a medical institute where nothing feels right. When she meets patient 36, she immediately knows something is wrong and is determined to help him.
As the two go on the run, you find love, passion and a deep sense of longing. The family links to previous books are embedded so well, you don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything.
When the book came to an end, I just wanted to cry because I wanted more of my favourite couple.
I have a feeling Sophia and Cal might be in the next book and feel so impatient for it.
Don’t wait any longer and grab your copy. You won’t regret it!
Thanks to NetGalley and Wilde for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
