I had high hopes for this one. I loved the characters early on but once I got post them meeting up, or trying to, I found it really dragged from there. I did enjoy it but just maybe not as much as I had hoped I would.

What an amazing concept, and an even better read.
Now I typically avoid romance stories but I'm so glad I broke my own rules to sample the latest book by Sarah Lotz.
I can't say too much about the plot which is far more involved than I ever expected because this is a book to experience blind. Prepare to be amazed, to be drawn in by the fabulous characters, the possibility in the implausible and to be willing the right outcome

If you’ve got a hankering for a love story that is COMPLETELY different to anything you’ve ever read before then Impossible by Sarah Lotz could be the book for you. Funny, romantic and so far from what I was expecting, I loved it!
I don’t really want to say much more than that for fear of giving away spoilers. Let’s just say “read it!”
Thanks so much to Harper Collins for gifting me a digital copy to review.

I LOVED this unique and fascinating romance - not least because of the insanely likeable population of side characters but also because the protagonists were so flawed and relatable. I was completely addicted to the storyline after the initial shock twist and haven’t been able to put it down or stop talking about it since. Will make a fantastic movie.

A mind-bending love story. I don't want to say anything more because I don't want to ruin the surprise. (A personal pet peeve is when the publisher says in the promo material, "With a twist you won't see coming!" If you've told me this in the blurb, all I'm going to do is guess the twist until it comes. Please stop doing this.)
Really makes you think about life, love and everything in between. So ingenious and clever-- definitely worth a read.

A complex story with messy but loveable characters, filled with a lot of 'what-if' moments for the reader to reflect on.
The story never really explains the 'how' of it all, you just have to accept it's a thing, and towards the end it seemed like it was going to spiral out of control - luckily it didn't! I would definitely recommend to someone looking for a romance with a difference.

Oh my goodness but this is a good book. So cleverly put together.
Characters and situations you can relate to and a story told in a fascinating way.
Fabulous read.
Highly recommend

I'm so gutted I didn't enjoy this one and ended up dnf-ing it.
I loved the beginning and the banter between the two but then I just lost interest. I think it's because I knew roughly how it was going to end. I'm not sure, I just didn't feel like I wanted to continue reading and had no urge to pick it back up.
I'm so sad because a couple of people I know have read and loved it.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Sorry I didn't love it!

Headlines:
Stay for that early, important twist
Odd coupling that works
Fresh feels
Impossible had me really wondering at it's direction for the inital section but it wowed me as we turned an early twist corner. This is one of the most unconvential romance stories I think I've read and yet I do some parallels with other films/stories I won't mention so as to keep that twist spoiler-free.
Bee was an endearing character, I liked her vibe, her job and her willingness to go with the curve balls the universe sent her way. Nick was more of a slow grower and I imagine many will feel this way. They weren't a couple you would conventionally put together in a romantic sense but the writing and how the story evolves does make it work and get the reader on board. There were some pretty big roadblocks in the way that I was grateful were resolved early on. One roadblock however, stayed.
There was an alternative pov format to this story alongside an email epistolary approach and I lived for the email sections, that's where the connections happened.
This story kept you on edge right to the end. There was a building tension and so many what ifs and what the... A clever read for sure.
Thank you to Harper Fiction for the early review copy.

One of my favourite films is You've Got Mail and the synopsis of this book sounded like it was along the same lines. When I began reading my first thoughts were that this is not in the same league as that film, but I was soon proven so wrong.
The first part of the book is the beginnings of the email exchange between Nick and Bee and some of their backstories. At the end of this part they set out to meet one another. Is this just a case of clever catfishing?
Part two is where this book took such a twist it took me by surprise and I was hooked into this book until the end. This is not a rom com per se, with some serious issues being dealt with such as suicide and coercive relationships.
It's difficult to say more without spoilers. I will say that this is a genius novel and the writing is superb and worthy of one of my favourite authors Jack Finney. At the end of the book I read it twice over, did it mean what I thought it did? Then came unexpected tears. A book not to be forgotten.

Impossible is the story of Bee and Nick who 'meet' accidentally when an email goes astray and form a connection. This however is not your typical romance novel, which is good because I'm not really a romance novel fan 🤣
.
It's hard to say much without giving anything away but I've never read anything quite like this. Funny but with some big issues covered sensitively as well, I loved this book and if you're looking for something a bit different I definitely recommend it.

I've also reviewed on Amazon but not yet live

Loved it! I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I started reading this book but I wasn't prepared to become totally engrossed in it for two days! The story is heartwarming and addictive in equal measures. Highly recommended.
Thank you to the author, Netgalley and Harper Collins for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Impossible is the love story that transcends time and place. It is about Nick and Bee who have a serendipitous meet cute which leads them down a pathway of drama in trying to keep their relationship alive. To say more than that would give the plot away and that is just not how these things work.
So instead let's talk about the writing. Lotz has crafted loveable protagonists who you genuinely root for. You buy into their relationship from the get go and dammit you want them to be together. So far so good. The story is your classic tale of love but with a modern twist. Another reason for you to root for Bee and Nick. It has a colourful cast of characters that make you giggle, smile and sometimes make your heart break a little. What more can you want from a story?
If love stories are your thing then you will really enjoy Impossible.

One of the most unconventional love stories I’ve read, but also one of my favourites to date. Both Nick and Bee have been rather unsuccessful at love and after one unfortunate email that reached the wrong sender, they connect. After many e/i-mail conversations, they decide to meet but things don’t go according to plan. They find out that they’re living in parallel worlds and can never meet.
I loved this from the start. I really liked the chemistry between Bee and Nick and thought their predicament was really well crafted. I loved the world-building and how Lotz described the differences between both of their worlds, where it was similar and where it wildly differed.
I loved the idea of parallel lives and parallel universes which made the story that more complex and compelling to me. I couldn’t wait to figure out how they were going to resolve the issues to meet in person.
I loved their family and friends, how they too were mirrored and that inadvertently they both ended up with the best-case scenario out of their two paths. I loved the twists and turns, the complications that their situation caused and how they tried going about resolving them all.

I really enjoyed Impossible by Sarah Lotz. The premise is SO GOOD! I think it's likely best to go into this quite blind without knowing too much about the story, but unfortunately I follow an author on social media who flat-out posted the premise on Instagram as her review, so there were few surprises there. However! The plot still holds twists and turns! I loved that the characters were a little older than the usual romcom territory, a little more brow-beaten and world-weary. I was rooting for them to get together, despite it being – y'know – impossible. The writing style is incredibly easy and more-ish, pulling me in from the opening with emails between the two main characters.
I was hooked from the first chapter – the chemistry zings from the first page. Thank you for letting me read it.

If you said yes I would recommend for this one you don't it's far better to go in blind & discover the story as you read! ⠀
Because to steal a quote from the book it's self it's "Insane? Impossible? Batshit crazy with mind-fuck sprinkles?" but also absolutely mind-fuckingly wonderful. ⠀

Disclaimer: A huge thanks to Harper Collins & Insta Books Tours for sending me this title for an honest & unbiased review.

Thank you Harper Fiction for the opportunity to read this masterpiece, I’m mind blown, just WOW.
I will admit I was gripped from the start, when a misdirected email was sent between Nick, a failed writer, and Bee, a dress maker and a connection is formed and after many messages they arrange to meet at Euston station.
Sounds straight forward so far doesn’t it?
That’s where things get very confusing with more twists than my brain could comprehend at times, but perseverance is the key!
A uniquely written gripping love story.

An enjoyable tale with a twist delivered quite early on. Two people meet initially through a misdirected email and form a strong bond. Circumstances, however, may make a happy ever after difficult to achieve.

A very original story - not at all what I expected and, without giving anything away, the most likely outcome never eventuates. I suppose this aspect may be a little disappointing, but I think the author was true to their vision and I love the originality and authenticity of it all. A clever, highly readable story.

Absolutely gorgeous read which has left me crying. This is beautiful in everyway and I need more. I have devoured this in just one sitting.
