Nessa and Ivy have arrived at Rosebend for Christmas. But the tension between the sisters is high with Nessa now being Ivy's guardian; however, things aren't all they seem with family secrets now being revealed.
But Rose Bend is magical place; it will be the place to rebuild the sisters, heal their grief and make a new family.
There is not a single character in this book I did not like. I cannot even pick a favourite I loved them all.
The character of Wolf (crazy sexy name) I fell in love with, he showed his vulnerability and honesty throughout the novel and the relationship with his family made my heart melt. He has his own personal grief that he goes through in the book, but it is the character of Nessa who will be the one to help him heal.
The character of Nessa has so much strength, but Simone shows us her vulnerability also, the hurt that this character holds shows so much depth to her.
I cried so much with the characters through this book, the narrative is beyond beautiful!
I never thought a Santa run could make you silently weep at the beginning and make you have butterflies at the end, but this book proved that it can.
This novel had the perfect amount of Christmas magic to get you into the festive season.
I like Christmas but I'm not obsessed, but can I live in Rose Bend every December? I would even join in every activity!
This novel is also part of a series about Rose Bend and I am itching to get my hands on the rest.
A lovely read of two sisters returning to a village there parents visited years before and finding out secrets both happy and sad. But the meaning of family, Christmas, friends and most of all love. Cannot wait for the next book
Full of Christmas cheer at a fast pace. Well developed characters who at times are too good to be true. Can Nessa overcome her family secrets to allow romance in? A beautiful setting.
Simply lovely. All the ingredients that a perfect Christmas romance should have. The tree dressing competition. Check. The hot chocolate in the snow. Check. The rugged hero with a soft centre, check.
I whipped through this book in one go and my toes curled and my shoulders relaxed at the romantic Christmas joy.
I loved this sexy festive read. It’s a whole lot of Hallmark Christmas with so much more. I hadn’t realised this was was the second book set in Rose Bend (just the most perfect place to live) but it didn’t matter st all that I hadn’t read the first one. Nessa and Ivy were great and their relationship and journey was lovely and moving. But Wolf Dennison - omg - how hot was he? He went a long long way in making this the perfect Christmas story. Can’t wait for the next visit to Rose Bend in the spring.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
The characters in this story were relatable, you felt for Nessa and her sister Ivy.
It’s set between Boston and Rose Bend, which is a quaint little town in Massachusetts. The town takes Christmas very seriously, and that’s something Nessa is finding hard to enjoy. She’s there to carry out Isaac’s last wish, that was for his daughters to spend Christmas together. But she wants to get through Christmas with her sister and return back to her life in Boston.
Wolf, a carpenter, the Inn where Nessa and Ivy are staying is owned by his family. He’s also been through heartbreak and is also going through guilt issues. He wants to help Nessa and her sister come together, the reasons why are revealed as the story progresses.
It’s beautifully told and it portrays the inner struggles with grief as well as trusting people.
Naima Simone has created what sounds like the perfect place to live in this story. An interesting mix of characters, setting and of course, romance, made this a.n enjoyable read.
This book was gripping from the first page! It is fast paced and will have you reading into the wee hours of the night to finish it. I laughed, cried and shouted at the characters. If that’s not the sign of an all encompassing story I don’t know what is.
I love how relatable the characters are. You fall instantly in love with Nessa and her stubborn pre teen sister Ivy. Once Wolf enters the story you literally cannot put the story down. I love how you see the inner workings of Wolf and his need to respect Nessa and her boundaries.
The story is set between Boston and. a quaint little town Rose Bend in Massachusetts. Rose Bend takes Christmas very seriously something Nessa Hunt seriously struggles to let herself enjoy and become a part of. Nessa is trying to fulfil Isaacs dying wish, for his daughters to spend Christmas together. Her main hope is to survive Christmas with her little sister and get back to her life in Boston.
This is the perfect winter feel good story about family, friendship and a whirlwind romance.
The story is beautifully told and shows the inner struggles with grief and trusting people with your heart. A very moving story I suspect it will stay with me for some time to come.
A lovely Christmas read. I love a Christmas book any time of the year to be honest though! Well written and enjoyable. Well done.
This was a little deeper than I expected and all the better for it. Although the plot seemed like the average Hallmark movie, there is more of a back story, which makes the characters more three dimensional and interesting. It was also quite a bit steamier than I expected! I’m now looking forward to reading more from this great author.
An adorable, quick and easy read that i really enjoyed. a cute plot, endearing characters and a great setting, I loved it
