My first thought is that it has a beautiful cover! The story of Queen Katherine de Valois who leaves her life in France to marry Henry V. To be honest, I just wanted more. I never felt fully immersed in the story.
I'm sorry I was not able to read and review this book before it was archived due to serious health issues
I have always loved Katherine Valois' story. Married to a king, and then after he dies gets married for true love. That didn't happen often to royalty, and I am happy for her, even hundreds of years later, that their was a happy ending to her story. By marrying Owen Tudor, she also established the Tudor line. I think this book did an excellent job at being her character to life, along with showing what a difficult upbringing she had in the French Court, and what courage it took to marry Henry V, who won the great battle at Agrincourt. The author did her research, and though the writing is not as soap-opera/drama as a Philippa Gregory novel, it still is very good and I recommend it to historical fiction lovers.
Thr story of a princess between political intrigues is fascinating. There are characters like this in history. But somehow this story is lack of believable details of those past era.
