Chris and Eden look like the perfect couple: they met through Chris's brother, had a whirlwind courtship, and have been happily married for four years, as Chris runs the family's couples resort and Eden secretly writes bestselling romance novels. But what no one knows is that they're in a marriage of convenience, and have to stay married for five years to claim an inheritance that they'll split at the end. As in most fake relationships, though, they've caught real feelings--and things have gotten very complicated. When a rival resort forces them into a week of relationship counseling and marriage activities to prove that they work, things are about to get even messier.

I am enjoying the whole Puso clan in the Heart Resort series. Oldest brother Chris was a bit of a cipher in the previous book, so I appreciated getting to see things from his perspective. And Eden is a sweetheart. Like the first book, this one could have been a little shorter--things dragged a bit in the middle, and some of the conversations were redundant. But overall, it was lovely. Mostly closed-door, so you could recommend it to readers who enjoy women's fiction as well as gentler romance.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

When i started this book, i didnt realize it was the second part in a series...but i caught on pretty quick and simply read the summary of "Heart Resort" to be on the "same page" (get it? haha). It was evident from the beginning that Eden and Chris were not madly in love, in fact it seemed quite the opposite during parts of this book. I did appreciate the little bouts of humor when it came to their relationship. It's clear that Chris's main concerns are 1st) the Heart Resort and 2nd)Keeping the Heart Resort up and running, Eden seems to be a close third unfortunately. Throughout the book however it was great to see how much closer and close they were getting to one another. It really was a love story that you had to keep reading to make sure they in fact stayed together, even though they married for all of the wrong reasons it seems. Eden seems to be a romantic, which makes sense as she's an author in the series (i think it's cool that the author put AN AUTHOR as one of the characters, i always appreciate little things like that in novels) so it was pretty clear that the book was MEANT to bring them together, even throughout the hardships of almost losing Heart Resort, I wanted them to stay together, even with all of the lies and secrets they uncovered. This book was a classic romance novel of which i could not put it down until i finished it. I completed this book within 24 hours- i hope there will be a third part in the series! now i'm a little bummed that i didnt read the first one "Heart Resort"!! Will have to put it on my TBR list for sure!

Fabulously engaging story about a marriage of convenience and much more! When Chris’ parents die unexpectedly as the oldest he steps in to keep the family together. He is surprised to learn their is a trust that he can have if he gets married and stays married for five years. Eden is respiratory therapies but a romance novelist at heart. When she over hears Chris on the phone she asks him to marry her so she can cut back on working and give her writing a chance.
As the time gets closer to the end of their 5 yrs, they find themselves in a position that was unexpected. The family business is at risk as social media questions if there program for couples getaways really work.
Will they make it through the 5 day getaway program? Will the world find out about their contracted marriage? How will they handle their pending time being up?

Absolutely loved this book and the characters. Thank you Netgalley for complimentary copy.
