This was a super interesting read filled with tons of things I couldn't have expected about disability during Tudor times. The writing is super engaging (I finished this book in one day) and well-researched—the bibliography and end notes take up almost a quarter of the book. However, the structure was a little all over the place, with lots of repetition and big blocks of text. I was able to look past that, but it really did put a blemish on this otherwise awesome book. I loved reading about the Tudors. However anymore I prefer non fiction as fictional authors want to add to much that they can't prove with historical facts. This book takes a look at Disability in Tudor times though not much was written as it seems the disable were hidden away or forced to beg.
