Gorgeous, festive, feel-good and utterly heart-warming!

I haven't read as many of Jessica Gilmore's books as I would have liked, but I am looking to find more and stock up my kindle, I really like her light and emotional writing and I can't wait to read more.

Christmas with his Cinderella is a wonderful and heartfelt festive romance, the characters are so likeable and you can't help yourself but instantly fall in love with them and back them all the way. The plot is easy to read and not too taxing and it melted my heart, I completely fell in love with the story of how a rescue dog brought two people together. I have always loved a love story with dogs, but as this is about giving a dog who was in need of a home a second chance and how he brought Xander and Elfie together warmed my heart.

I loved this book, I loved every part of it and I can't wait to read more from the author.

Xander is a stand offfish hotel owner in need of some PR whilst Effie is a dog whisperer/ trainer. Xander’s pr team suggest he gets a dog to improve his image. Effie is enlisted to help him with Walter and slowly a Christmas romance develops as they learn each other’s secrets.

At first impression Xander is a standoffish duke, but actually he is quite introverted and way out of his comfort zone in the PR aspect of running his chain of family hotels, so when it is suggested he gets a dog to raise the hotel's profile and work on his image he reluctantly agrees. Elfie is his dog whisperer but he finds himself getting more drawn to her and slowly they start to unravel each others secrets. I really enjoyed this story, it was festive, romantic and kept you interested the whole way. A great read

This book is a proper heartwarming romance and I really enjoyed reading it. The set up was perfect and the characters of Ellie and Xander were instantly likeable. I thought the addition of Walter the dog is what really made it special as he was the ideal catalyst for the relationship to develop and continue without it seeming forced. I also loved the luxury hotels settings, reading this book made me feel like I had had a nice trip away somewhere!

First of all I would like to say thank you to the publisher, the author and net galley for allowing me access to an advance reader copy of this book.

I think this book was exactly what you were expecting for a retelling set in a Christmas theme so it has a lot of tropes it is very romantic and romanticising I think overall it was really good but I think it went really heavy on the troops and the cliches

This story has believable characters, a festive-inspired plot and forbidden romance. Full of humour and poignancy, it's lovely. Elfie is a dog nanny, just the person hotelier, Xander, needs to manage his rescue dog, but proximity leads to romance making it, a memorable Christmas. There are plenty of conflicts, lots of vivid festive descriptions and heartwarming romantic moments. Elfie and Xander find they have more in common than they thought. You want them to find happiness, and thankfully after an emotional journey, they get their happy ending.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Great romance. A short term fling of two people who just know that they cannot have a future together clearly gets complicated. Some romance, some tears and obviously some great action from a rescue dog make this an easy and happy read.

I absolutely adored it. Elfie and Xander were such lovely characters and I was rooting for them from the beginning. - and as for Walter! What a fabulous side character! He really came to life for me and his role was crucial to the development of the characters and the romance.

Jessica Gilmore has a deft touch and I know I can rely on her for a heartwarming and emotionally satisfying story.
