This is the first of Caro Savage’s books that I’ve read and I was very impressed. It is set in the UK and I love UK crime thrillers as I can see the differences in police procedure from the US. This book is fast paced and filled with action. Bailey is a scrappy detective who is determine to remain alive and serve justice.
The story is told from Bailey’s POV and the killer’s POV. I loved seeing both sides of the story. This is the third book starring Bailey Morgan and I am definitely interested in reading more. However, I think each book can be read as a standalone novel as I did not feel I was missing anything by reading this book before the others.

Bailey Morgan is being HUNTED.
Someone is out to murder Detective Constable Bailey Morgan before she can testify in an upcoming trial.
Using her undercover skills, Bailey embarks on a dangerous mission to help the police catch this elusive killer before it’s too late.
I am not sure what originally appealed to me about this book, but something jumped out at me and am I glad it did. This was a gripping read that kept me interested until the very end. When I started reading this book I had overlooked the fact that this was part of a series - trust me it works well as a stand-alone novel.
A fast-paced read with very interesting characters. A book that I would happily recommend to anyone that enjoys a game of cat and mouse. For anyone that doubts that they will enjoy this book, just read the first page and your attention will be grabbed.
Rating: 4/5
Can Bailey outwit her hunter?
Detective Constable Bailey Morgan is being hunted, but can she become the hunter in this psychological thriller?
Bailey is soon to give crucial evidence in the trial of a drug smuggler, but will she survive long enough to give it? The days are counting down, and Bailey has gone into hiding whilst she tries to find out who is trying to kill her. The story is told from the point of view of the two main characters, Bailey and the professional killer out to get her, as they try to outwit each other – with peripheral characters adding to the action.
There are plenty of heart racing moments, and I enjoyed the psychology both of the main characters, and how to avoid a killer (some of which sent me to Google – always a good sign). The opening pages are somewhat brutal, but this does not carry on through the book. The tension grows to a really exciting last few chapters!
This thriller is well written, and flows well. However I didn’t get into the characters and story as much as I did with Caro Savage’s previous thriller Villain, and therefore though I enjoyed the book, I didn’t love it, mainly because I was comparing it with Villain. This is the 3rd book featuring Bailey Morgan – though the two that I have read so far can be read as stand alone.
This was such a fast paced read. I loved the plot and the characters. The storyline was so gripping, this book had me on the edge of my seat.
I loved the plot of Bailey being hunted because of her previous undercover police work. This plot reminded me a lot of Line of Duty (a uk police show, if you’ve read this you’ll know what I mean). I liked how unique this plot was and how it left me on the edge of my seat throughout. The plot had a lot of depth to it and the mystery was present right until the very end. I really enjoyed how the author brought in a psychological perspective to the characters and to the book.
I found the characters were very interesting to read about. The chapters alternates between multiple different characters. I enjoyed seeing the story through other characters eyes and hearing their emotions. The characters had a lot of depth to them, there were many different characters brought into this book but they were all very essential to the storyline. I didn’t find it hard to remember the different characters because the author made them memorable.
I thought Bailey was a great main character. She seemed very determined and she would risk her life to get to the bottom of the crime. I feel like I got to know her very well in this book and I am excited to read about her in the first two books in this series.
I thought this authors style of writing was very gripping. I am surprised I haven’t heard about this author before, definitely one to look out for. I can see some more amazing work coming from Caro Savage. The storytelling really get a hold of the reader and makes them want more.
A huge thank to Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read this jaw dropping book.
We are back with Bailey Morgan undercover cop and exactly as the title says she is being Hunted!
I am absolutely loving these series of books, Caro gave me those heart in my mouth moments not knowing what is coming up next.
WOW Caro has totally smashed it..
5 stars from me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Another excellent book by Caro Savage, following on from previous novels featuring Detective Constable Bailey Morgan going undercover to catch a hired killer. I could not put this book down, kept me enthralled until the final page! Would recommend it to anyone who loves a good thriller.
Bailey Morgan is one of those rare protagonists who is credible but also absolutely amazing in what she can do. She fits the heroine mold beautifully. As to the story itself, you will want to set aside time to read it as it is pretty hard to put down once you get started - action packed is an under statement.
Brilliant cat and mouse read. Rex, an hitman, is hunting her to kill her. Bailey, an undercover cop is hunting him to stop him killing her. Told mainly from the POV of them both you get to see what each are thinking as well as the background of both characters. I just loved all the near misses as they almost find each other and how close they were. This has you on the edge of your seat.
I've read the previous book in this series but it can be read as a standalone.
I’d like to thank Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Hunted’ written by Caro Savage in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Detective Constable Bailey Morgan is due to testify in court against Charlie Benvenuto for drug offences. He pays a contract killer known only as Rex to eliminate anyone who can put him behind bars and as he’s already disposed of Senior Crown Advocate Jeremy Westerby, Bailey is the next one being hunted. Bailey is given a choice, to be kept in a safe house for the three weeks before the trial or help capture a dangerous killer. She forms a plan to track and arrest Rex before she can be his next victim, if only she can stay alive long enough to see it through.
‘Hunted’ is a gripping police thriller with an intricately woven plot that’s had me caught in its spell from the first page to the last. So absorbed have I been that I’ve been reading with my teeth clenched totally involved in a story that’s fraught with extreme danger and hoping that Bailey can keep one step ahead of a dangerous hitman. There’s a huge amount of action, drama, suspense and intrigue as Bailey tries to avoid becoming another of his victims and I was a nervous wreck by the time I reached the chilling climax of this amazing thriller. As I’ve been reading I guessed there must be more books in the series prior to ‘Hunted’ that somehow I’ve missed so I’m now going to be searching for them to get a greater understanding of Bailey and her past.
This is a very good thriller featuring Bailey Morgan, an undercover officer with the Met police. it's fast paced, has interesting characters and kept me interested to the last page. The story flowed well and was told from the perspective of the two main characters. It's the third in the series but works well as a stand alone and I would recommend the read. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
Wow-what a page-turner this book is.
The third in the series, this one started off exciting and carried on throughout the book. hunt her down and kill her so she cannot take the stand at the trial and he will get off.
The hitman although experienced and cunning he doesn't realise how clever Bailey is at avoiding him, being an undercover cop gives her an advantage.
This book was very well written and engaging. It was fast-paced and made me want to keep reading to see what happens next?
Well worth 5 stars.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this great book. xx
4 Stars from me
I loved the storyline for this one and the game of cat and mouse whereby Bailey Morgan finds herself being hunted by the very man that she is trying to catch.
Tense at times and with a real sense of pace and excitement, I found Hunted to be a fast read with rapidly evolving storyline that had me engaged throughout.
Having read a Caro Savage book before, it was good to get back into reading about Bailey as she is a great female lead.
My thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and Boldwood Books for letting me be a part of this blog tour.
I found this to be a very entertaining and engaging read! Every mystery thriller reader enjoys a good cat and mouse game! I like that it was told from different points of views not just the main characters but also some of the other characters as well! It's also very well written and the pace is great! I also liked the notes at the end of the chapters! It was an enjoyable read! I look forward to getting to know the characters more in the first two books! Maybe the next book won't be too far behind! Happy reading everyone!
What a nail biting instalment in Lucy’s life. Love all these books and can’t wait for a further book in the series.
The books looks at the life of Lucy the undercover cop, but this one has a big twist which I didn’t see coming and had be guessing to the very end.
Extremely well written and looking forward to future instalments in this series.
Well written and totally engrossed me
Couldn’t put it down
Can’t wait for the next book
The story is immense and kept me up all night
I really enjoyed this book.
I’m new to the author and wish I knew this was the third Bailey Morgan book. But a bonus is I can read again after I have read the first two!
Fast paced thriller of a cat and mouse novel which I recommend to all.
Some one is out to get Det Constable Bailey Morgan
Using her skills to help her catching the elusive killer
A tense game of cat and mouse between her and the killer

An easy five star for this tense cat and mouse story. Excellent characters with the fabulous Bailey Morgan heading the cast. Pretty violent at times but that's the game they're in! Hope we're not kept waiting too long for the next instalment!
