This book is part of a series, however like I have you can read it as a stand alone book. It’s a beautifully written story, the characters you encounter within the book are great. It does contain some child cruelty within it that did make me shed a tear. Thankfully though it was graphic otherwise the review would be totally different.
I enjoyed this book and I was pleased it highlighted cruelty to show that it happens in stories just like it happens in the real world and you shouldn’t be afraid to show that and reflect upon it in the books.

Another wonderful book in this wonderful series. I’ve loved every one of these books and this one was no exception. The child cruelty was a little hard to stomach but, it wasn’t too graphic and we all know that unfortunately it does gone on too much in this world. But, overall this was a beautifully written story and I love forward to reading more about Hedghog Hollow in the future. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

This is book is about the life of Samantha, her friends, family & also her hedgehog family too. I recommend reading the other books first as it will give you a fuller picture but you could read this as a stand alone novel. Jessica Redland develops her characters well & you can conect with them. I do enjoy her books. I'm now looking forward to the next.

Loved it!!! I love this series. I wish we had wild hedgehogs in the garden. They are so cute. I did google balloon syndrome and can't believe how big they get. I couldn't wait to find out what happened from the cliffhanger from the previous book. The Grimes family are awful. They have no redeeming qualities and such evil people. I also put some blame on Phoebe's dad. He ignored what was happening to his daughter right in front of his face. Darcie is very lucky to have Phoebe. I hate Samantha's mom a little less in this book. I still think she was a horrible mother and treated her daughter awful. She could show Chloe love but not Samantha. I still despise Chloe. She's not a nice person and everything is always about her. I couldn't believe how Rosemary treated Phoebe after everything that happened to the girl. Phoebe tried to protect her all those years and Rosemary turned into a hateful person. It made me incredibly sad for Phoebe. Darcie and Phoebe are a nice addition to the farm. I want to work at the hedgehog rescue with Samantha and her volunteers. She seems like such a wonderful friend. Loved their wedding. I'm guessing babies will be in the near future. Hopefully there will be no more encounters with the Grimes family.

Definitely recommend the book and the previous ones in the series. Enjoyed the characters, story and writing style. I can't wait to see what's next for Samantha, Josh and all those hedgehogs. I wouldn't mind if Chloe completely disappeared. Look forward to reading more books by the author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Boldwood Books through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Having read and loved the first three books in this series I was absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to read this, the fourth book about Hedgehog Hollow. The more I read about the place, it's prickly residents and the couple whose sole purpose is to save poorly hedgehogs, the more I love them. I adored this book just as much as the previous ones. Jessica Redland writes so beautifully. I think of her characters as real people and the kind I'd love to have as friends. It's hard to put her books into a specific genre as they cover so many aspects of life. In this book we have child abuse, neglect, crime and drugs on one hand but on the other we have lovely warm, compassionate characters, family pulling together, loads of love and romance and a very special wedding. I loved the characters of Phoebe and little Darcie who, despite their awful backgrounds emerge as such lovable people. Samantha's forgiving nature and her desire to have her estranged mother at her wedding had me gripped and really rooting for Sammie and hoping for the best. I won't say what happened but this is another aspect of the story throughout the preceding books that held my interest. I loved every single page of this delightful book and eagerly await the next book in the series. Not only has Jessica Redland written the most entertaining, warm and wonderful books about Hedgehog Hollow but she has sparked a huge interest in the care, protection and rehabilitation of these gorgeous creatures. I love these books so much. My thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for a pre release copy in exchange for my honest review.

TW: child neglect, emotional, verbal & physical abuse to children, drug & alcohol abuse, suicide attempt, explicit description of self harm, anxiety, mentions of drug overdose, death of a loved one and mentions of rape.

Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the arc

Jessica Redland has done it again with another amazing book , this was just a delight to read despite the dark life of Phoebe. I think the only best way to describe this book is saying it’s dark but so wholesome.

I want to say thank you to Jessica for handling the topic of mental health so well, with one of the characters Haley who sadly suffers with suicidal thoughts and mental health problems it was handled so well through discussions and no shaming at all.

I just wanted to hug Darcy and Phoebe for life after what they went through, I’m so glad they got the happiness they deserved in the end with Josh and Samantha.
Also speaking of our main couple, they were just a delight their wedding was so cute it was unbelievable I wish we got to see more of them.

I cannot wait for book five in the series. This is easily the second best within the series closely following number one !

First book in the series I have read and it was like meeting up with an old friend.
The twists and turns are unexpected but believable. You feel every emotion as the story unfolds.
I am already looking forward to the next instalment.

Brilliant, this was just what I needed. I absolutely adored Hedgehog Hollow. I have listened to all of the others in the series on audio but I honestly could not wait for audio to find out what happens next. The last book kept me hanging, so I had to read this one and I did so in one sitting it was so, so good!

Samantha runs a Hedgehog rescue centre, which started off as someone else's dream and she is determined to make it a success, even though she has had some major hurdles to get over and this one seems like the biggest hurdle of all. I really did feel for her as she has been through tough times, but I also admired her as she could always see the positives in people and situations that most people would give up on. I can't believe how much I have learned about hedgehogs from reading this fabulous series. Of course, there is a lot more going on in Samantha's life than the hedgehogs. I loved Samantha and all of the characters, they were an amazing bunch and I got a lovely feeling of friendship, love and support from them all.

If you haven't read any of the Hedgehog Hollow series, then I urge you to do so, it really is a fabulous series that I can't recommend enough. I will also be listening to this when it comes out on audio and will be one-clicking the next in the series without hesitation.

I have enjoyed all the books in this series and couldn’t wait to read this book with the latest news about Samantha and the hedgehogs. Samantha is such a lovely character, so full,of warmth, love and forgiveness. I fell in love with Darcie and my heart broke at the upbringing she had. We learn of the life Phoebe has suffered in the hands of her stepmothers family. This is a beautifully written book and I was sorry when I reached the end but I really enjoyed it. Jessica Redlands is a gifted story teller and fully deserves five stars

We are back at Hedgehog Hollow and this year Samantha is hoping that life will settle down. But that’s not to be, when she checks the rescue centres bank account and discovers someone has been fraudulently writing checks and she is left with no money at all.

When she realises that Phoebe, her accountant, is related to the family who have hounded her for the past year she is devastated. Phoebe has secrets of her own but will the kindness of the team at Hedgehog Hollow be enough for her to change her life ?

I always love returning to Hedgehog Hollow. The characters Feel like friends and I love catching up with what’s happening.

Thank you Jessica Redland and Rachels Random Resources for gifting me a digital copy of A Wedding At Hedgehog Hollow in exchange for an honest review. In a wedding at Hedgehog Hollow we follow Samantha the owner of a hedgehog rescue centre who is preparing to marry the love of her life Josh when something shocking happens.
Phoebe is the accountant at the hedgehog rescue but her family seems to be dragging her down. Will she escape her own hell and discover the truth?
Just a warning this book covers many traumatic event that may cause you issues including abuse, attempted suicide, eating disorder and neglect. I loved the writing of the characters and the story line. As someone who lived a life with similar events to Phoebe it was hard to read in areas but it was well handled and I loved the development of the characters throughout. I loved Samantha and how caring she is for not only the animals in her life but also everyone around her.

Wow. This book, and this series has been amazing. Samantha is such a strong woman. Every knock has only made her stronger and when everything seems to have been taken from her, she has something for others.
Having Phoebe and Darcies story woven in was wonderful, Phoebe is also an incredibly strong young woman. My heart broke for her and Darcie as I learnt what they had endured. I loved that Hedgehog Hollow not only rescues hedgehogs but people too. It’s a wonderfully special place. All the issues have been dealt with brilliantly and with so much care and consideration. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

A well written book I would’ve preferred to hear more about the wedding. That doesn’t take away from how good of a book this is. I recommend it overall as it’s a pleasant story with that character development. It will definitely tug at a couple heartstrings so just be prepared.

The forth book in the Hedge hog hollow series (i totally recommend the whole series if it has passed you by, in fact I recommend every thing she has written) Another brilliant story could be a stand alone as the book is so well written. Friendly, enjoyable and such an easy read. Thank you netgalley for the advance copy

This is the fourth book in Jessica Redland’s Hedgehog Hollow series, which follows the fortunes of Samantha Wishaw and the hedgehog rescue centre she has established at Hedgehog Hollow farm in the Yorkshire Wolds. As a fan of Jessica Redland, I have been following this series from book one and looking forward to the next instalment as soon as I have finished the last. The cast of recurring characters grows with every book and I am enjoying watching each of them develop. All of the books, including this one, can be read as a standalone, but they make a wonderful continuing saga if read in sequence. If you haven’t read the earlier books, or can’t remember what has gone before, the author has helpfully started this book with a recap and some character details.

This story brings to the fore Phoebe, a student who has been helping out with the accounts for Hedgehog Hollow. Samantha and the other volunteers at the rescue centre know little about her, but the secrets she has tried to keep hidden slowly emerge after money is stolen from the charity’s account. Samantha has been looking forward to her upcoming wedding to Josh, but all thoughts of those plans have to be put to one side as she tries to help Phoebe escape the clutches of her no-good family and work out how to keep the rescue centre running with no funds. Meanwhile, Samantha is wondering whether her strained relationships with her mother and cousin might be easing as her wedding day approaches.

I really enjoyed this latest book in this series, and can highly recommend it to other readers. It is certainly a fast moving and emotional story, with never a dull moment for the characters and scary situations for some of them. The storyline contains many serious topics including fraud, drug dealing and abuse; some of the descriptions were hard to read and left me feeling anxious for the characters. However, these dark episodes are balanced by the lighter moments where friendship and love shine through. The story had me in tears many times, sometimes happy ones and other times sad. Through all of this, the story always returns to the peaceful surroundings of Hedgehog Hollow with its many spiny lodgers, and, in this case, the promise of a grand wedding. At the end of the book, the author has added some useful facts about hedgehogs and what to do if you encounter one.

This is the fourth instalment of the Hedgehog Hollow books, but my first. Although the characters and location follow through the books, it didn't affect my reading of this as a stand alone.

Samantha runs a hedgehog sanctuary, and this book follows her wedding preparations. Alongside the wedding plans runs the story of Phoebe, Samantha's volunteer accountant, and her shocking family life. The book tackles some very hard subject matter, and it brought me to tears on a number of occasions. The content was however sensitively handled.

I really enjoyed this book, I will definitely be going back to discover the first three in the series. The characters are very relatable, and there were a number of little stories being woven into the last part of the book that I really want to follow on - can't wait for book 5 now!

Hedgehog Hollow is an amazing setting for this book. A rescue centre in the countryside that takes care of injured and juvenile hedgehogs. The story centres around Samantha, who inherited Hedgehog Hollow and Phoebe, the university student that volunteers there and does the accounts. There are other books in the series, which I have not read but I don’t think it’s necessary. Samantha has PTSD from all of the attacks on her by the Grimes family, who thought they should have inherited the farm. The Grimes family are a nasty, violent family of law breakers. Samantha is shocked when she finds out Phoebe is the stepdaughter of one of the Grimes women. Phoebe has spent a large portion of her childhood being abused my her stepmother after her father passed away. She took on the job of taking care of Darcie, a step cousin.

This book will break your heart and I just wanted to wrap Phoebe in a huge hug. Both women learn that they can depend on other people and that there is love out there. Thank you to Boldwood Books via NetGalley for allowing me to read the ARC of this heartwarming and deeply moving book.

Hey everyone,
I’m not really that good at doing reviews but here goes!!!
There is no way I can put into words how much I love the hedgehog hollow series or even author Jessica Redland for that matter!
The 4th delight, a wedding at hedgehog hollow really did not disappoint at all. I LOVED it!
After the massive cliffhanger left us after family secrets at hedgehog hollow, I was over the moon to have been approved for a copy before publication date and read this in 3 days. With a full time job and 4 kids (a husband & 3 children 🤣) to look after 3 days is quick for me!
The wedding at hedgehog hollow followed on from the cliffhanger and soon letting us continue on Sammie’s journey with her hedgehogs and dreamy Josh.
Love, love, loved this and can’t wait for the 5th delight to come out 💖
Thank you to NetGalley, Jessica Redland & bold wood books for the opportunity to read this novel early.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.

This is book 4 in the Hedgehog Hollow series of books, but could be read as a standalone. Jessica Redland never fails to please and I loved my time back in Hedgehog Hollow.

I don't really want to say too much, I think whatever I say might spoil it. Just know, it's a great book.
