I didn't really like this book. The jokes were pretty typical, and I wasn't in stitches over them. I feel like joke books are really really really overdone and was looking for something new for my kids. This just didn't hit.
Oof some of these are funny. Some even my 8yo. Who thinks everything is funny, gave a side eye to. Worth a look if you are looking for some kid friendly jokes.
As soon as I got this book, my daughter read the title and said, "they always call them epic knock knock jokes and they're always just okay." Ha! I think I kind of agree with her. Maybe knock knock jokes just aren't our jam. Some of them were pretty funny, but mostly they are based in puns that my kids didn't always "get". But for someone who loves knock knock jokes, this would be a gem of a book! Its long and has a lot of original jokes that I hadn't heard before.
Knock, Knock ... Who's there? Lettuce. Lettuce who? Lettuce in and you will find out!
Who doesn't love a good knee-slapping joke? Kids love knock knock jokes and I know they will giggle as they try to guess the answers.
This book explodes with knock knock jokes. It contains over 400 of them to enjoy. It is wordplay on steroids as kids delight in puns, silly situations and fun cartoons.
I gave the book only three hugs as I felt the illustrations fell short. They could have been colourful and more appealing thus engaging the reader more. The cover is wonderful. It is colourful and inviting. on the other hand, the cartoon-like illustrations need to pop out more to enrich the text and add visual humour also. Although the jokes are numerous some of them will be hard for kids to grasp and understand. Some jokes are old and some are new and funny. No matter what it's always great to find any jokes that will make us laugh and enjoy life more.
I am a sucker for daddy jokes, knock knock jokes and the likes.
While there were a some jokes in here that were too long or had to be "read on paper" in order to be understood, most of them were absolutely hilarious! I read them out loud to my partner and we were both chuckling and snorting along.
I wasn't a fan of the illustrations? Too semplistic and childish (even for children?) but overall it wasn't too bad! It made us laugh, so in a subpar way it served its purpose!
I loved the cover art of this book and I had high hopes for the contents. Many of the jokes were not original to the book. They were jokes I have heard before. In addition, some of the puns that made the jokes work were confusing and not always funny. There were some winners, but not enough for me to truly recommend this book.
There are lots of knock knock joke books and websites. This book tries to find new ones. Most of them are not good, playing too often on the comic Italian-English rising "a" at the end of a common word, meaning "one" or "you". Some of these are funny but most are just stupid. This is supposed to be a children's book but most of the jokes will be way over kid's heads. The illustrations are without any art or humor.
Knock, knock...
Who’s there?
Vassar.
Vassar who?
Vassar girl like you doing in a place like this?
I said recently that I don’t really know any knock-knock jokes and then this book stumbled in my way. Honestly they weren’t that funny, although some of them were quite ingenious. Some were just utterly impossible if you didn’t pronounce a name really fast. 🤔
I’ll give credit for ingenuity and the sheer will-power to collect knock-knock jokes…😆
Well, who doesn't like knock knock jokes? This is a very hearty, full book with, well, tons of knock knock jokes. Some are old and familiar to me, many are new. Knock knock jokes are fun and a good way to introduce playful language to our kids. This book, like many others, will be helpful in giving us a joking/playful/fun approach to life. I enjoyed the book. This is a worthwhile addition to your collection of knock knock jokes. I liked the book. It is fun. Knock knock, who's there, Buy It, But It who?, Buy it Now.
I requested this so I could share them via Facetime with my grandson in another state. The knock-knocks weren't quite as fresh or new as I might have hoped for, but it's been enjoyable sharing the laughs with my grandson and spending time with him.
I was hoping this book would have some new knock-knock jokes with references to current pop culture, but this just seems to be a recycling of the same old jokes. Kids love jokes and younger children especially love knock-knock jokes, so would be a good option if a joke book were needed but probably duplicates the content of most joke books already out there.
