As an owner of many dogs in my lifetime, I was so excited to see this book about dogs. Page after page of questions from dog owners asking questions about their dogs and then detailed answers given about each question. I read every page 2x. Many of the questions are things that I have experienced and wondered about. I learned so much from this book and so many things make so much more sense now.

The amount of information in here reminds me of the ‘intro to dog behavior’ class I took to become a dog volunteer, which is to say that I was informed , but who knows how much remains in the mind during execution? Overall, a worthwhile buy for those new to dogs and dog behavior.

really enjoyed this book on dog behaviour, although it is a little american.
There are plenty of very handy tips and pictures.
It isnt the longest of books but it has every kind of scenario covered and good explanations.
A good read

What a terrific book about dog behavior and how to solve the problems owners may encounter. I am a pet sitter and I found the approach in this book to a problem and the solution fun and easy to understand, which is important when people are new owners. I like the section about dogs earning rewards and not responding to bad behavior but to replace it with better behavior. I love the stories about each of the problem dogs and also the solutions that Moore suggests. The solutions are great, great, great.
Most of Arden Moore's suggestions about changing behavior, I have used in the past and they work, but I found them through a lot of reading and trial and error, and I wish I read this book when I first started pet sitting it would have made dealing with certain pups easier.
I loved the pictures of the dogs they are adorable.

I want to thank Storey Publishing, Storey Publishing, LLC and NetGalley for this very helpful book.

4☆ Fun, Informative & Brimming full of Doggie Facts, Tips, Hints & tricks!

The Dog Behaviour Answer Book is full of information about understanding your dogs Behaviour.

I have a 7month old Puppy and although we've had dogs for over 40years there is always something new to learn.
My old dog passed away last year I was absolutely heart broken and getting a puppy a few months ago is blooming hard work! You forget that when your dogs grow up.

So having this book was a lovely refresher.
Also we have just finished puppy training classes last week and there is a lot, in the book, that we was taught in class, so it just goes to show how good this book is.

What I really loved about this book is that the questions the Author answers, are all questions sent in or asked by dog owners.
I'm pretty sure that if you read it and you have or had dogs you will definitely be thinking ahh yes that's something I would like to know.

The only reason this wasn't a 5☆ review was due to formatting issues with the ebook, it wasn't the best way to read this book.

There's so much interesting facts, suggestions, tips and even games to play with your dog.
This book really has thought of everything.
I really enjoyed reading it and would definitely recommend it to new dog owners, people thinking of getting a puppy or dog, or in general if you just adore dogs! There is a wealth of knowledge to be discovered! Enjoy!

Thank you to Storey Publishing and Netgalley for my copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

The Dog Behavior Answer Book is an incredibly comprehensive book with questions and answers, problems and solutions for caring for your dog. It touched on every area of interest from training, to behavioural issues, with funny and interesting dog facts with cute photos too. Breed specific information and support from puppyhood to end-of-life care. You name it and it’s in there.

I like that this book promotes the NILIF (Nothing in life is free) philosophy as that is the only way I have had success working with one of my dogs.

Although this book might be catered to those less experienced with dogs, there is something for everyone in here. I will be trying some of the walking suggestions tomorrow. Walk Nicely!

Many thanks to #netgalley for a copy in exchange for my views.

Lots of interesting tips and nuggets of information - perfect for a new dog owner. As someone who has a couple of dogs, most of the questions I knew the answers to (although, sadly I don't always follow the expert's advice properly) but I still found a few facts I didn't know.
This is a great book to read alongside puppy/dog training classes to really help with day-to-day behavioural problems and habits. Also a great read if you're adopting a dog and they often arrive with lots of odd habits.

I love this book and I think every person new to having a dog should read it and have it in their personal libraries for those future enigmas of why a dog behaves the way it behaves. I loved the questions and answers style.

Bring a student of animal training and performance I go into these books with apprehension but this was a good introductory guide to dog training and more so of the tricks side. I think training helps owners and dogs bond and this is a really accessible way for this to happen. There are many different opinions on dog training and nothing in this book was too preachy

Great book that covers a variety of topics throughout. If you're looking for a step by step puppy training type book this may not be the one you want. It has many different questions and answers ranging from puppy to dogs of an older age. Goes over what it is like to be a dog, different quirks, how to help correct behaviors, health, etc. Love the pictures throughout and great tips for all dog owners to help understand their dogs behaviors.

"Ear-ye! Ear-ye!" I've been doing this all wrong! My dogs rule the house! 🐶🐕🐩

Not until I read "The Dog Behavior Answer Book, 2nd Edition" by Arden Moore, did I realize how to correct the bad habits of my 3 little dogs, ("Queen's" for short). Moore's book is a comprehensive guide to training and correcting bad doggie behaviors. This book is for dog's of all ages, no matter what the topic. It is a fantastic read on everything including different breeds, health, intelligence, staying consistent, commands, excessive licking, potty training, exercise, coping with the loss of a pet, and how dogs can help with a one's own mental health. I love the examples Moore gives on how beneficial animals are for children and senior citizens. This is a go-to must have for dog owners! It is full of humorous antidotes and a pure joy to read.

My dog's LuLu, Ruby, and Stella, who think they have it "Ruff" because mama does not understand them, thank Arden Moore from the bottom of their spoiled rotten little hearts! 💘💘💘

Thank you NetGalley and Storey Publishing for allowing me to review this outstanding e-book.

Mark you calendars! It will be published September 27, 2022.

This was an adorable read with a lot of good information. The pictures were wonderful, but the different ways to have a good relationship with your dog made this book a great and quick read. Not everything was my cup of tea, but overall, it was a fun book and if you're looking for a good dog book, this would be a great one to pick up.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

As a dog lover I truly enjoyed this book. It was full of interesting stories and tidbits of information about not only training but about behavior traits of different breeds. Truly a fun resource for dog owners or those considering getting a fur baby.

This is a great book for learning about dogs in general, and also with respect to training (since the dog's perspective and motivation matter a great deal).

This excellent book will be invaluable to any dog owner at any stage of their life journey with their fur baby. As a longtime rescue dog owner I own a few books concerning dog behaviours. Why I particularly like this one is because the style is neither patronising or dictatorial as many books can be. There is a mixture of information as well as a question and answer style guide to common dog misbehaviours and ways to approach them. Almost all the dog issues I have had to tackle over the years were covered. The behaviours are explained from the dog’s point of you so you can better understand why your pet does these things, before explaining what to try to change the behaviour. I also learned several interesting facts, including one that had always been a mystery to me - why are some dogs interested in the television and others are not? Having owned a Brussels Griffon who was a nature programme addict and also several Bichons who don’t even seem to register the tv is there, I was enlightened to hear it is down to breed and their prey drive.
This book also differs from many others in that it progresses through life stages of your pet and includes advice on helping your dog lead a fuller, more comfortable life in old age and of course dealing with the usually inevitable ‘Goodbye’. This is an American book so useful contacts are mainly only relevant to US readers. Generally an excellent and very informative book. My thanks to the publisher and to Netgalley for allowing me access to a digital ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
