WOW!! I love Cathy Bramley’s work but this is definitely her best so far. Made me laugh out loud and also made me cry, so many emotions in this one. A wonderful story of three women, who find each other when they need it the most. Each had a different story to tell and it’s so true that a problem shared…
The author dealt with very current issues brilliantly. My favourite book of the year so far for sure
An awesome book! I love sea glass and the peace of the north east beaches, so this book particularly resonated with me. The story of the three women and their friendship was beautifully told, their individual journeys captivating and enthralling. One of the best books around at the moment.
I love a book that can warm the cockles of your heart and this one had me beaming! I fell in love with the three women from the start, and following their secrets, stories and subsequent friendships was just perfect.
I honestly couldn’t read this book quick enough but didn’t want to read it too quickly because then it would be over! I seriously enjoyed it and loved the steady pace which drew the reader closer to the girls and the difficulties they were facing.
With Katie, the owner of Auntie Small’s, a lingerie shop, fearing that should her secret ever surface, herself and her business may suffer. Grace, who is overcoming her own grief, having her husbands will contested and an unearthed secret threatening to upend her tranquil escape to Merle Bay, and Robyn, who has her own relationship troubles and coming to terms with her new body, has a lot on her mind. But with the new friendship of this trio, they steadily begin to overcome their struggles. It was so lovely to read! I definitely want a membership into the Sea Glass Sisterhood.
I so admired the strength of the ladies, and honestly, the book flew by. Cathy Bramley is such a consistently good author, you can guarantee any book by her will be a great read.
And can I just say, Amber’s character completely stole my heart and my heart swelled several sizes during this book. Loved it loved it loved it!!
Cathy Bramley is a great author & I loved this book. Great characters & great storylines. Thanks for the opportunity to read and review this book.
A really lovely tale with three very different women with different experience. Love the sisterhood between them and how they supported one other. These characters are all so relatable as they explain their various lived experiences. Sweet, special and summery. Enjoyed the setting and felt like a good escapism read even with the sensitive subject matter.
Adored this.
A newly formed friendship, these three women find support and comfort in each other. A beautiful setting with some sea glass collecting along the way. Whilst the book tackles some heavy issues, the friendship and setting makes it an enjoyable read.
The story of three women two of whom live in a small seaside village and a third who goes there for a break. The women meet each other in unusual circumstances and on finding that they all could do with support decide to become friends and confidantes.
Each of the women have a particular problem which they don't feel able to share with other family or friends. Each problem is very different but all equally important.
They give each other the confidence they need to solve what had gone wrong in their lives.
What a delightful story. Cathy Bramley never lets you down when you need to escape from your own worries . There is always a light at the end of the tunnel in her books.
This book is about female friendships and that new friends can't be every bit as good as old friendships and in some cases even better and perhaps less judgmental.
I like all the characters in the book but especially Amber and would love to read in another book how her relationship with Katie grows which I'm sure it will.
Although I shed a few tears they were happy tears. I still have a few books by the author to read and I'm going straight from writing this to downloading another one.
Absolutely brilliant. A story of 3 women who meet in unexpected circumstances and bond. Their stories are amazing. Cover some very deep subjects well. I liked Kate best of all. A perfect ending. A must must read. Cathy at her best. Slightly different to her other books but I love it
