Nutella: 60 Classic Recipes pays homage to one of the most delicious foods on the planet. With Nutella as the star of the show, most of these recipes are what I would consider baking and rely on some basic pastry recipes for several of the dishes in the book. All of the recipes sound simple, appear easy to follow, and provide conversions for all measurement systems. I am not brave enough to attempt any of these recipes, but I did get some ideas of ways to use Nutella with some bakery items I can purchase. This would be a great gift for a baker or Nutella fan or addition to a cookbook collection.

Wow these recipes!!

This book is more intensive than I expected. There's recipes from a banana nutella pie to nutella profiteroles and beyond! There's beautiful pictures and a variety of recipes!

However, a lot of these recipes are out of my league or incredibly difficult. Nutella macaroons? Nutella cream puffs? While there's some standard nutella recipes like including it on bread, a lot of these recipes are very ambitious.

This is a creative book that provides a bit of history on nutella and suggests many different uses for it.

Pros: I am one of those Americans who feels a bit smug about discovering Nutella while studying abroad—years before it was a popular thing in the US. That being said, I’m thrilled that it’s now something that can be found at any grocery store . . . and that there are cookbooks devoted specifically to it! I think this book would make a fantastic gift for Nutella-loving friends and family.

I found the recipes in this book to be accessible, for the most part, to cooks of all different skill levels. (Macarons are hard!) The photographs were very helpful guides. I appreciated that the recipes where both in grams and in US measurements. There were tons of helpful tricks and tips throughout. The recipes I want to try immediately are the hazelnut and Nutella marble cake, the chocolate and Nutella mousse, the Nutella marble madeleines, the vanilla and Nutella waffles, the Nutella pastry boats, the Nutella truffles, the Nutella eclairs, and the Nutella mocha case.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that I do not have any of these recipes made up to eat while reading!
