I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. A cute cover. A cute women's fiction romance novel. Recommend
Loved this novella by Meghan! Prequel to a book coming out next year. Full of LOL moments. I always love reading all the books by her and can’t wait for the next one!
This was a fun, and funny, introduction for the full length novel by this author, featuring the same characters. I was a little put off by the premise: flirting with the ex-husband of your best friend? That's against so many codes. However, this quickly changed my mind.
I received an advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.
Quick read and great setup for The Reunion.
I liked how Author Meghan Quinn makes you invested on wanting to know what will happen in the next book.
I actually read The Reunion first so it was nice getting a back story to their history. I think this will be a great beginning for sure.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read The One Night By Meghan Quinn in exchange for my honest feedback.
This was my first Meghan Quinn Novella and it was cute but ended too soon. Glad to hear she will be releasing The Reunion to continue her story.
This was a pretty good book. I enjoyed all elements, loved the funny bits, and tbh skipped over the smut scenes.
Quick and fun introduction to Meghan Quinn's full novel, The Reunion. This short story was everything you can expect from this author- funny, cute and overall entertaining. I'll definitely read the follow-up of Cooper and Nora's story.
This novella was the perfect starter for what is to come in The Reunion.
It has all the ingredients of a MQ story- angst, humour and passion.
Cooper and Nora deserves their HEA and I hope they will get it in The Reunion because the ending of the Novella left me craving for more!!

The One Night is the prequel to The Reunion which will be coming out in February. It is a romantic comedy which Meghan Quinn is a master at writing!
The way that this book ends is a way of making you want more and you can’t have more until February! Insert sad face here. Just saying!
This is Cooper Chance’s story who is recently divorced and his parents are worried for him. They want to be his “wingman”. To help him get back out there and to start dating again and of course that is embarrassing to him. Cooper runs into Nora McHale who is his ex-wifes BFF. All kinds of things can go wrong with going out with her as I am sure you can imagine!
I for one can’t wait to read The Reunion! I am fortunate because it is on my Kindle and I will be reading it soon!
A quick story to quench your need for more of Nora and Cooper's story. Teddy Hamilton as usual did an amazing job and Laurie West is a new narrotor for me and did a great job with Nora.
Know this a prequel and ends with a cliff-hanger. Look foward to more in the Reunion.
Well written, lighthearted, short romance novella with a pinch of steamy romance and some chuckle-worthy scenes with Cooper's family. This story ends on a cliffhanger and I assume a full length follow-up book is coming soon. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-ARC.
This was a quick story to lead us into Meghan's upcoming book The Reunion. It focuses on one of the siblings, Cooper, who will be in that book. We get a glimpse into his relationship with his meddling parents and it was quite funny. We meet his love interest Nora and by the time I finished reading, I couldn't wait to read The Reunion. Thank god I had an ARC!
He should have been completely off limits but the chemistry between them burned hotter than any fire.
I love Meghan Quinn's writing, but I didn't realize that this book was a prequel novella. Had I realized that I likely would have been able to give this a better review. I found Cooper's family funny and am looking forward to reading each of their stories, but I was a bit disappointed in the lack of HEA. I will definitely be reading the rest of the stories, but be prepared when you read this book.
Oh my goodness the ending of this book! How could it end like that? I get why the author wrote it this way though, makes you anticipate the following book The Reunion even more. Meghan Quinn did a great job at describing the flirtation between Cooper and Nora as well as how they should have been off limits to each other. Makes the plotline more exciting knowing they shouldn't be doing what they're doing but just magnetized towards each other. Was a fun read most definitely!

"The One Night" is a prequel to the author's upcoming book, "The Reunion". "The Reunion" will follow all three of the Chance siblings as they come together for their parents' fiftieth wedding anniversary. This novella is about Cooper Chance and how he reconnects with Nora, his ex-wife's best friend, in a dive bar in Seattle.
Cooper and Nora have known each other most of their lives as their families were friends when they were growing up. The night they connect is both hilarious and sexy. There is great banter, romance, and a ton of laughs. The only disappointing part of "The One Night" is the ending, which is a cliffhanger going into her next book.
This is a very enjoyable and short read. I have read "The Reunion" also, and it does not disappoint!
Adorable! Absolutely adorable. I was looking forward to Nora and Cooper’s prequel before I ever even knew there was a prequel. This little guy definitely lived up to my expectations. It was cute, fun, sexy, and definitely set up everything with Nora and Cooper in The Reunion. I highly recommend reading it before The Reunion, but it’s also not necessary. Sometimes it’s nice to go back to the beginning when you already know the ending…
Another excellent book from Meghan Quinn! I'm so excited to see what happens in The Reunion. Meghan is one of my favorite authors as she always writes witty and heartfelt novels and I recommend anyone who needs a pick me up to give her books a try! Thank you Netgalley for the arc
I really like this book, so lovely. I love the characters, I always choose my books for his covers, and this one doesn't disappointed me 👌🤩
