Brightly coloured absurdity, as a duck takes umbrage at a crab moving into his teapot, and a tiny horse (and we're talking way smaller than the duck tiny) tries to help. There's not much else to say, really – it has a teapot-owning duck fer cryin' out loud. If you engage with that kind of bonkersness, this will be lovely. The charge that it's silly for silliness sake is a strong one, mind.
This book is cute! A tale about a teapot and a cheeky crab who stole it for it's house! Nice bright illustrations and easy to read text. I think children will enjoy this book. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Morag Hood is an absolute genius. I'm yet to meet an adult who has read her books and not enjoyed them at least as much as their children, if not more.
In this story, Duck has a problem with his teapot and Tiny Horse is trying to help. The problem, a crab, has decided he rather likes the teapot and so is reluctant to leave. Tiny Horse tries many things and eventually makes a new teapot but it is Duck who works out what the crab wants the teapot for and fixes the problem.
A great look at problem solving and thinking about why something is a problem, rather than just trying to fix it. Just as importantly though, another brilliantly illustrated, hilarious story to be enjoyed from Morag Hood.
