As we all know demons come in all shapes and sizes but not all of them have the powers - the gift - that Randal Forbes has. Fran Raya continues to thrill and chill as her anti-hero destroys anyone who gets in his way, but now he is not alone. There are two more people with the gift and only one of them is on his side.
Set thirty-odd years ago the author conjures up the dark and the demonic in a style not unlike Stephen King's output from that era. This series continues to get better and better. I read it in the dark night of Friday the thirteenth: a haunting experience.
