Really enjoyed the budding romance between the two main characters. Often times manga with similar plots moves at a snails pace and ends with a confession or "offscreen" romance. I hope that does not happen with this title. Quality start and made me interested in what happens next.

This is such a sweet little manga. Vol 1 starts when Yagyu protects Satomi from a pervert on the train. Satomi has decided for high school to be bolder cause she regretted not talking to her middle school crush. What follows is the start of a sweet romance where they work together to figure out what they want from the relationship. Super sweet!

I can sum up my opinion of this manga in one word: Adorable! Satomi doesn't want to relive the regrets she had from missing her chance with her first crush because she was too shy to speak up. So when Yagyu saves her from a groper on the train, she defies her shyness and asks him to date her. To her great surprise, he agrees! Thus begins a rather true-to-life courtship slice of life story, complete with new relationship awkwardness, miscommunications, and Satomi trying to find out where she really fits in Yagyu's life and he in hers.

I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this title because the manga-ka's other title, "Wolf Girl and Black Prince", had such a toxic relationship between the main characters. To my delight, that was not the case at all. Yagyu is happy to let Satomi take things at her own pace and be there for her and give her the support she needs through their ups and downs. I cannot wait to read more of this series!

Recommended for fans of "Honey So Sweet", "Kimi Ni Todoke", and "Kobato".

This was cute and sweet! I appreciated that Satomi and Yagyu's relationship started in a more casual way, or it felt more casual to me; there are starting-a-relationship jitters and a bit of awkwardness, but it's not over-the-top, it's reasonable. This is a quieter romance than some I've read, and that gives us more room to get to know the characters, especially the enigmatic Yagyu. The confessions come *after* they get to know each other a bit rather than being "I've been staring at this person for 3 years and have never spoken to them and know nothing about them but I know we are destined for each other" y'know? That was refreshing. Read this when you want something fluffy and sweet that will leave you with warm fuzzy feels!

Thank you to NetGalley and Viz Media for this ARC

A very sweet manga, romance with shy/fiesty (weird combo I know) Satomi and Yagyu a standoffish and intimidating guy.

Enjoyed it a lot, however got weird vibes from Yagyu. Having said that I have already read Vol 2 and awaiting volume 3!

This was such a cute story. I am so invested in the characters. The characters are well designed. I fell for the main male lead. He's too cute. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cute romanctic story.

A fun high school first romance that is absolutely adorable. Our female character is strong if a bit reckless at times but very endearing. The male lead is tall and broody which is always an excellent combination.

Any romance fans will enjoy this shojo slice-of-life. Everything you'd expect from the genre - sugar sweet and full of the youthful naivete of a first relationship, but balanced by a cute female protag who isn't afraid to stand up for herself and a stoic male lead who is much kinder and less stereotypical than he seems. The narrative is nothing particularly new as yet and I found the pacing a little slow, but there's definitely potential for later volumes to improve as Satomi and Yagyu's relationship develops. Very sweet with beautiful artwork too.

This was such a cute manga! I love the two main characters, Satomi and Yagyu. They were adorable together! I'm already reading volume 2. I started it immediately after finishing vol. 1 because I couldn't wait.

I received this volume as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very sugary-sweet first volume. The best thing about it for me would have to be how open & honest communication is encouraged between Satomi and Yagyu. Although the pacing might feel quite fast, I think it's because there was way less miscommunication and other tropes getting in between them, which usually drags out the time before two characters start dating. Anytime Satomi tried to hold in her true thoughts, she either managed to face her fears and say it out loud, or Yagyu would encourage her directly after realizing something was wrong. I love romance leads who aren't oblivious to each other's moods!

Yagyu is your classic "looks tough/intimidating, but is actually a softie once you get to know him" type. The height and personality difference between him and Satomi will have plenty of fans, I'm sure. I also liked how reckless and fearless Satomi could be when it came to either getting herself to speak her true feelings to Yagyu, or even standing up to guys who were being jerks to him. That made it so her personality wasn't simply stuck under "super shy, unable to ever speak up for herself & is always protected" type of female lead. On the flip side, when she DID panic at times, it was realistic since she does mention it's her first time dating someone. It's normal to be flustered at first when you don't know what's expected of you, and I liked that she asked Yagyu upfront what he wanted at the start.

I don't think anything super new or unique was done here, but it's very cute and enjoyable for what it is--an adorable romance manga.

I absolutely loved reading this manga. I am so excited to see how this story continues in volume 2. The Characters were lovely and the art style was absolutely beautiful.

The art is cute and the characters are relatable as is the situation they find themselves in as they embark on their relationship and their first one at that. I thought it was a really sweet and lighthearted volume with some really great, entertaining side characters to provide a bit of humour. It was actually fluffier than I thought it would be and it’s just an easy to read, feel good romance!

Perfect start of a romance shojo. I immediately picked bought it after reading the ARC. The hero had no red flags and there was zero miscommunications between them. An adorable romance about falling in love. I'm anxiously anticipating the next volume. If the next volume follows the same steps I will add Ayuko Hatta to my go to shojo mangaka.

This manga may at times seem like your typically high school romance, however I am here for it!!! I like that the romance and story line between the characters is not rushed and it is seems steady. I liked that both main characters are staying true to themselves and their romance seems healthy and not toxic. I am excited to read vol 2 and the rest of the series and would recommend it to others.

Sooo…. I forgot I read this.

That’s not a good sign.

While this is cute and has a good couple, I’ve also read other manga that did it better and actually made an impression on me. There wasn’t anything that made it memorable, so my review is going to be a of a neutral response. It’s not bad, but it’s also not great.

I was immediately drawn to this cover when I first saw it, and I was not disappointed by this story. It is a very cute charming shoujo romance and gives you all those experiences of first loves.

Satomi falls in love instantly with Yagyu when he saves her on the train from a groper. Usually I’m not a fan of the insta-love trope, but I found myself enjoying it in this story. I think that has to do a lot with the fact that while it was more of an instant love for Satomi, we still don’t see Yagyu fall in love instantly and it takes him a little more time to develop feelings.

When it comes to the artwork, I thought it was great. The characters are easy to tell apart and it’s definitely very cute. I can’t wait for the next volume.

This was a really fun start to a series I would happily continue reading. Though, I do have to say it has been a hot minute since I have read this and I, sadly, remember nothing about it. Hopefully that changes with additional books in the series.
