I really enjoyed the premise of the story. I liked the characterisation of the main characters. There are plenty of twists. I love this authors work. An easy 5 stars.
Captivating and engaging, this book had me hooked from page one. I am a big fan of T.M. Logan's books, I have read them all now, and every single one keeps me turning the page so fast.
I enjoyed this one but I didn’t totally love it. In spite of the twists and turns for me it just dragged out at times for me.
I always know I am in for a good read with Logan and this was no different. This centres around every parent's worst nightmare, your teenager misses their curfew and then they do not return home. This sets off a chain of events that will prove devastating for the characters and community.
'The Curfew' had me gripped from start to finish, the plot is quite simple but this only makes it all the more effective and realistic. The characters were wonderful, I could really see them as a family, their bonds are tight and therefore I cared about them and could see why they behaved in the way they do. This book has plenty of secrets to be revealed along the way and not once did I lose interest.
Yet again, another fantastic read from Logan.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK for an advance copy.
I LOVE TM Logan’s books so was thrilled to be accepted to review this one. It’s got the same pacing as some of his other books and it’s well written
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy
This book was good it had so many twists and turns to it. As unpredictable ending as well. Think this author is getting better each book
The blurb for this book sounded really intriguing and I was really looking forward to reading it. It started off great but after a few chapters I found the story started to drag a bit. Even when the few twists were revealed it wasn’t an omg feeling for me . An ok read but expected a bit more excitement. 3.5⭐️
With thanks to NetGalley and especially to Bonnier Books, Zaffre for this ARC in exchange my honest review.
I like T.M Logan’s books very much that it's very enjoyable. This book is a great page turner and fast paced. It's well written with interesting characters and intriguing plots. It's fascinating to see the unpredictable outcome. Definitely some twists and turns that kept me entertained and hooked me from the very beginning to the whole way through. Keep me guessing until the end. Highly recommend.
Great plot to get yourself lost in. This book has everything. A real fast paced thriller. Will get your heart racing on more than one occasion. Very well written. Highly recommend this book
I do love a T M Logan novel and even really enjoyed the recent tv adaptation of the holiday.
I was really excited to get my hands on a copy of his latest thriller!
The novel starts straight in to the drama. The author doesn’t set the scene; adding to the drama of the missing child
The short snappy chapters symbolise the urgency in this novel, like the urgency that would be apparent when looking for a missing child
A couple of the parents really annoyed me. Their attitudes and actions were unrealistic, however it did become clear why a bit later on in the book
Around 70% I felt that the book dipped a little, but it picked straight back up
I loved the ending and I even though I had my suspicions of the suspect, I loved the way it all came together
I loved the ending chapter… did Connor make his curfew!! That remains to be seen
I hope this one gets made into a mini series too!
A great book from an auto buy author
I found this a bit slow compared to previous books by this author but still a well written enjoyable read with the usual twists.
I came across t m logan many years ago by accident and have readevery one of his books since with eager anticipation my only complaint is waiting for them!

To celebrate the end of their exams, Emily, Olivia, Drew, Connor and Zac go into the woods, but only four of them will make it out again. To begin with, it is not even clear which one of them has gone missing as Connor tries to cover up the fact that he has missed his curfew. The story is mainly told from his father Andy’s point of view, with occasional chapters by others, and flashbacks that gradually reveal the events of the night in question. As the story progresses and more details come to light, I changed my mind several times about who was responsible as the author lays false trails and peppers the narrative with red herrings galore.
The pace is a bit uneven, and the first half overly descriptive, but it picks up nicely as the ending approaches. A lot of topical subjects are covered in the narrative such as bullying, drink spiking, and the toxicity of social media and the press. The main focus is how the parents of teenagers can balance the need to give them more freedom with trying to keep them safe. The parents in The Curfew are all faced with the dilemma – how far would they go to protect their child?
This is the first book by TM Logan that I have read but it won’t be the last. The characters are well drawn and believable, even the less likeable ones. My favourite was Harriet, Connor’s younger sister, whose computer and detective skills were exceptional and helped to solve the case. Thanks to Zaffre and NetGalley for a digital copy to review.
Another brilliant read from the author.
A well rounded thriller that stays true to that. It kept me going and thinking and when you think you know what is happening you get swept again and I loved it for this reason!
It draws in on toxic relationships, social medial, bullying, family dynamics and lies that get told as a cover up but who do you believe in all this.
I really enjoyed this thriller, which was fast paced and full of twists and turns to keep me on my toes. It was certainly full of action, with a lot of characters and a good plot.
Teenager Connor and his friends go into the woods one night, but one of them doesn't come home, and there is then an investigation into her disappearance. Connor is a main suspect, and his Dad joins in with the investigation to try and protect Connor and to find out what happened to Connor's friend. Connor's little sister Harriet features a lot in the book, and I just loved her. She was so sweet, and she was my favourite character.
I loved all of this book, and I can't wait for the author's next book! Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Andy and Laura have never had issues with parenting their teenage son Connor. And now that he’s sixteen and finished his GCSE exams, they’re happy to allow him to go out and celebrate with his cousin (and best friend) Zac, as long as he’s home by midnight.
When Andy wakes up in the early hours of the morning he’s uneasy. Something’s not right and he’s convinced that Connor didn’t come home. He goes to check on him and sees he is actually asleep in his bed, although on further inspection Andy discovers that the porch light was left on. He figures this is the reason for his unease and leaves it at that, reminding himself to give his son a telling-off about it later in the day. He goes back to bed, but something continues to niggle at him. (That sense of unease prevails throughout most of the book.)
And so begins T.M. Logan’s pacy thriller that will have you holding your breath, turning pages and gasping all at the same time!
This is a story about trust, friendship, loyalty, family, and the power of social media and technology. And ultimately it’s a story about how far we’re willing to go to truly be there when those we love really need us. It’s the story of five teenagers – not necessarily all friends – who decide to leave a party, and go off into the woods together. Only four of those teens come out.
Andy and Laura are convinced that they know everything there is to know about Connor – after all, he’s always been a good boy. But now he’s mixed up in an incident that happened that night in the woods and they have no idea how to help him because it seems that whatever they say or do, Connor is being dragged deeper and deeper into trouble. The odds are certainly stacked against him, and he seems intent on helping to dig his own grave.
Worst of all, Andy’s biggest supporter and closest ally – his brother Ben – seems to have turned against them in their hour of need. Ben’s son Zac has a role to play in all of this and it soon becomes clear to Andy that Ben is less interested in Connor’s dire situation and more concerned with focusing on Zac and his own needs.
We hear aspects of the story told from the perspectives of each of the teens involved, but mainly from the points of view of Andy, Laura and Harriet, Connor’s younger sister, who for me is the stand-out hero of the piece! If I was ever in a pickle I’d want her in my corner! The narrative is character-driven, with each voice so distinctive, I felt I could almost hear them.
As with all of T. M Logan’s books, there are twists and turns a-plenty. You will second guess yourself numerous times throughout … the sign of a really good thriller author! I really hope that this is optioned for the screen as it would make for excellent viewing. But for now, it’s a 5-star must-read for fans of the thriller genre!
This was fast paced right from the word go. It was one of those thrillers that you can fully see happening in real life, you can just imagine the story being all over the news. The characters were brilliantly written, and the ending was a fantastic finish to an overall brilliant book. Highly recommend
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. A truly brilliant thriller that is gripping, twisty and fast paced. Great characters and writing. I could not put it down! Read it!!!
I really enjoyed this story, it was simple a dad trying to get to the bottom of what happened when 4 teenagers went into the woods and only 4 came out, it wasn’t the most thrilling read but was solid with a few good twists
