5 teenagers go into the woods after a drinking and drug taking party, but only 4 return. We first need to work out who is missing and then who was involved in their disappearance and is someone being framed and why?
I really enjoyed the second half of this book, where everything started coming together. The narrator is the father of one of the party goers and I felt his anguish and indecision throughout. Another recommended read by Tim Logan.

I am a big fan of TM Logan and have never been disappointed by any of his books. This latest one is no exception, I absolutely loved it !! As soon as you start reading you are drawn in and hooked until the very last page.

Andy and Laura are good parents. They give their son, Connor, space to hang out with his friends but he must be home before his curfew. As the exams are over the curfew is midnight. But Connor misses his curfew - why ? And what will be the repercussions of that missed curfew ?

Connor and four friends went into the woods that night but one of them didn’t come out !! Who knows what happened in the woods that night ? What lengths would you go to protect your family ?

This is a fantastic page turner, with some brilliant characters. I absolutely loved Andy, Laura, Connor and especially little Harry !! This is definitely one you don’t want to miss. An addictive read that you just won’t want to put down !!

Thank you to Bonnier Books UK and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book.

A brilliant fast-paced, mysterious thriller that will make you question the characters over and over again.

Logan writes excellent books so it was no surprise that this one didn't disappoint. The snappy chapters, the ambiguity of the characters, the twists, all contributed to the suspense. After the first few chapters I really couldn't put the book down.

TM Logan has done it again. Another twisted thriller which I read in one day. Short sharp chapters from different points of view kept me page turning from the very start.

Laura and Andy allow their 16 year old son Connor to go out to celebrate his exams being over, but he needs to be home by a certain time (his curfew). After a text and seeing him in bed, Andy thinks his son is home. Next morning however, things are not what they initially appeared to be.

Five friends went into the woods that night, but only four came home! What follows is an investigation into the disappearance of one of the friends. It seems that nobody is telling the truth and more than one person is intent on telling lies and covering up for their child.

The star of the book for me was Connor’s twelve year old sister. She was determined to do some investigating of her own and as a tech wizard she played an important part as the story unfolded.

I suspected several characters as I changed my mind part way through, then again towards the end. Just as I thought I knew where it was going, another twist and I was wrong yet again!

If you haven’t read anything by TM Logan before then I can highly recommend this book, especially if you are a reader of psychological thrillers with unexpected twists.

Mentions drug misuse.

Many thanks to netgalley, the publishers and the author for an arc.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this gripping novel

its not my first novel by this author and i can say it wont be my last one either.. this one though sends shivers down your spine as its very topical for obvious reasons

5 teenagers go into the woods one night, but only 4 make it out

and their stories dont add up, but what is obvious is that something has happened to her , and nobody is talking

with horror stories of a date rape drug doing the rounds at some of the parties, only time will tell when the missing girl turns up

what a thriller of a ride this book is, so many red herrings galore,,, and never once is the story static, it keeps moving as the story enfolds....

cant wait for the next book by this author

I have been a fan of this author for a few years now and always enjoy his books but, in my opinion, I think this was his best yet. It is extremely well written with interesting well described characters and I just loved every page from the beginning until the end.

I can thoroughly recommend this book and thanks to Netgalley and Bonnier Books UK for giving me the opportunity to read this brilliant book.

This author is becoming one of my go-to authors. You know, the ones that you don't even read the blurb before clicking! And again, he delivered me an intriguing and interesting read that kept me on my toes throughout, leaving me wholly satisfied at its conclusion.
We start with a small lie. Parents Andy and Laura insist that son Connor is home by his curfew of midnight after a night out celebrating the end of exams. Problem is, he wasn't. And a girl went missing that night, Emily, last seen leaving with Connor. But the parents stand by their son cos he couldn't have had anything to do with it. Could he?
And then there's Harriet. Connor's younger sister who... throughout the book shines with brilliance. But can she manage to pull off the impossible and find the truth of what really happened that night? And where is Emily?
This book is jam packed full of secrets and lies and more than a healthy dose of dysfunctional behaviour. It also took me round the houses in the search for the truth of what happened, throwing in a few curve balls for good measure. Pacing is good and matches the narrative all the way through and the story gets on with itself well without the need for superfluous padding or waffle.
All in all, another winner from this author. Really looking forward to seeing what he serves up next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

TM Logan has never disappointed me yet with his books, and this is another great read.
A group of teenagers are celebrating the end of their exams and head to the woods.
Connor is due home by midnight and when his Dad wakes at 3am and checks he’s home, he has no concerns.
That is until the next day when his cousin comes down the stairs instead of Connor.
It seems Connor has broken his curfew but more seriously, one of the girls they were out with is missing.
Connor is questioned by the Police and his parents know he is hiding something, but he remains silent.
Will the Police find Emily before it’s too late?
This is a clever thriller that I really enjoyed.
Thanks to Bonnier Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

The Curfew by TM Logan
I give this book 4 stars

Andy and Laura tell their son Connor that he can go out with friends to celebrate completing his exams, but he must be home by midnight.
When Connor misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever.
Because five teenagers went into the woods that night, but only four came out.

TM Logan is an author l look out for. He always crafts an entertaining, well plotted and detailed story, with realistic characters..Told mainly from the dads perspective with a few other characters input. I found this hard to put down as the story unfolded and we found out more details, it kept me guessing almost to the end. Harriet was a standout character for me.
With thanks to Netgalley,TM Logan and Bonnier Books UK, Zaffre

Andy and Laura's son Connor has never given them reasons to doubt he's a good kid so when he texts to say he's home in time for his curfew they belive him.
Except Connor didn't come home when he was supposed to. He went to the woods with his friends. Five of them went into the woods but only four of them came out.
I've always enjoyed T.M Logan's book and The Curfew is definitely his best one yet. I really liked the characters, especially the awesome daughter, Harriet. What a character!! The suspense is felt the whole way through and that ending!! I couldnt put it down until I knew how it ended and it did not disappoint! 5 stars!

Rating: 4.5 Stars

Master thriller writer T M Logan is back with an addictive new thriller that is absolutely impossible to put down: The Curfew.

Andy and Laura had given their son Connor permission to go out with his friends to celebrate the end of his exams. Having given Connor a curfew, Andy and Laura trust their son and are sure that he will be back home by midnight as agreed. Yet, what the two of them never imagined was that Connor would end up missing his curfew and that a chain of terrifying events would be set in motion that would end up changing the lives of five families forever.

On that fateful night, five teenagers had gone into the woods to celebrate the end of their exams. But only four of them came out. What really happened in the woods? Why is nobody talking? And why are the four survivors so reluctant to talk about what really happened that night?

The truth could cost these four teenagers and their families everything. But they will soon realise that some secrets refuse to stay buried and that regardless of how far you run, you always end up paying for your mistakes…

T M Logan is the king of the psychological crime thriller and The Curfew is a shocking, twisted, dark and disturbing chiller that will leave readers breathless. A master at heightening the tension and ramping up the menace, danger and suspense, T M Logan has written a first class page-turner that will keep readers on the edge of their seats reading all through the night.

Fast-paced, action-packed and absolutely terrifying, T M Logan hits it out of the park yet again with his latest thriller, The Curfew.

I’ve enjoyed all of this author’s previous psychological thrillers so I was excited to receive “The Curfew” as a review copy.
It is the story of five teenagers who go into the woods one night and the fallout after only four return. GP, Andy Boyd’s son, Connor is one of the 16 year olds as is his cousin Zac. Connor is supposed to be home by his midnight curfew but Andy is not 100 per cent sure he is back so he checks his bed to confirm and all appears well. However not all is at it seems and at least one of the four teenagers is not telling the truth, something which is particularly worrying, once it is established that one of them is missing.
Although this was an enjoyable thriller and it was easy to read, I did not feel that it was quite as good as T.M. Logan’s earlier books. I did not particularly warm to any of the characters including Connor and his parents who seem prepared to lie to the police to protect their son. It was one of those books which made you wonder how far a parent would go to protect a child they fear may have committed a crime.
In fact my favourite character was Harriet, Connor’s younger sister who was determined to prove her brother innocent of any crime and uses all means at her disposal proving herself to be a young tech wizard.
The big reveal near the end wasn’t particularly believable and seemed contrived to fit the facts.
All in all I would say that this was an enjoyable read but not my favourite book by this author.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for my arc.

The Curfew is the second of TM Logan's novels that I have read and I enjoyed this one just as much. It begins with the fairly ordinary scenario of a teenage boy missing his curfew and leaves us to consider what we might do in a similar situation as the story gathers pace and the lives of the characters spiral out of control. I found it very difficult to put down!

Our narrator is Andy and it is his son who misses the titular curfew that sparks the situation for the whole novel. As we only see things from Andy's point of view (with a few short chapters from other characters) we are left wondering who is really responsible for what happened that night and it is a mystery that kept me hooked until the very end. Andy's relationship with Connor feels very authentic and well observed and this is a strength of Logan's writing.

Connor and Andy are not the only strong characters in The Curfew. The relationships between the teenagers also feel very genuine and this makes the story incredibly believable. I must mention Harriet, who is absolutely incredible and I love the way her quirky personality shines through the pages.

I desperately wanted to find the answers to all my questions as I was reading and there are plenty of twists and turns before we get there. The novel is very tense and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Andy and his wife trust their kids. Their daughter, Harriet, is a whiz at all things computers and their teenage son, Connor, is out of school after exams.

But after a post exams party, Connor misses his curfew. And it's not until the police call that his parents realize it.

It started with a frantic call from Andy's brother. His son, Zac, was missing. Had Connor seen him? Andy wasn't sure because Connor had been sleeping when he left their house to take the dog for a walk. And when he returns, he finds out it wasn't Connor asleep upstairs at all. It was Zac.

Now the police have Connor in custody and another teen is in fact missing, the daughter of a local sort of celebrity. No one has seen the girl since the night of the party and Connor is the prime suspect.

Andy thought they could trust their son, but now that trust is being pushed to the limit. Connor isn't talking, but it's clear both he and Zac know something. And everyone knows that the first 48 hours in a missing persons case are key.

Whoa! I probably shouldn't have read two books themed around parents' worst nightmares back to back!

And that's what this is: a parent's worst nightmare!

There was a party, that led to another smaller party in the woods. Five were in attendance but only four made it home.

Andy would like to believe his son had nothing to do with a girl's disappearance, but it's starting to look like he barely knows his son at all. And it doesn't help that the police and other parents in the community are suspicious of Connor.

The book does alternate between various POVs with Andy as the main narrator. But we're also given snippets of the period immediately before the girl's disappearance, which makes it very clear that there's much more to the story.

You know I love a fast-paced read and this is that in spades!

An easy to read story, one of those you can pick up and read and immediately you are back where you left off, it’s sometimes nice to have one of those, almost a relaxing read if makes sense?, anyway the story itself is far from relaxing, based around a broken curfew and the consequences of that, an ignored rule turns into a living nightmare for one family and they wonder if they will ever recover
Good characters, believable and human in their choices they make ( right and wrong ) and was fascinating to see how family loyalty can and does come first in many situations whatever the outcome may be for others…..
Little else to say tbh other than it was a good read 🤗

I'm a big fan of T.M Logan's books and was thrilled to get this arc!

And wow! What a book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It kept me gripped from the beginning, I just had to know what happened!

I did not see the ending coming, I didn’t have a clue who did it and why!

Highly recommend this for thriller lovers!

I absolutely loved this one, the best that T.M.Logan has written so far. The story revolves around a normal family Andy who is a GP his wife Laura, a teacher, their two children Connor and Harriet. Connor has just finished his GCSE’s and Harriet is just on the autistic spectrum but is very intelligent with her computer and seems so much older than her real age of 12.

Connor has a curfew he has to be back home by midnight, he is out with his cousin Zac along with other friends, starting off at a party but five of them end up in the woods. Emily, Drew, Olivia, Zac and Connor. They have some vodka that has been smuggled out. But Emily has a secret ,she knows Connor has a big crush on her so asks him a favour. Drew is jealous as Emily is the only girl to ever turn him down. That night 5 went into the woods but only 4 came out. Where is Emily?

Andy has a feeling something is wrong, he wakes at 3 am, realises the porch light is still on, Connor knows he is supposed to turn it off when he comes in. Is he home? Andy puts his head briefly through the door and sees his son fast asleep in bed, although still something bothers him. But he goes back to bed. He asks Laura the following morning if Connor was home by his curfew she tells him yes that he had texted at 12.10 to say he was home in bed. Andy is about to walk their dog and his neighbours dog when he gets a call from his brother Rob asking if Zac is there, as he hasn’t come home. Andy goes to his brothers and helps search for Zac but no one knows where he is, he persuades his brother to call the police. But when Andy gets home. The person coming down the stairs and about to leave the house is not Connor but Zac. He tells him to call his dad to let him know he is safe.

But then Andy realises it was Zac in Connors bed, so where is Connor now? It’s not long before he finds out when the police call to say he is at the police station. Emily Ruskin is missing, Connor is saying no comment to the police, why?

How far would you go to protect your child? How well do you know your children? As things come out that Andy and Laura know nothing about they desperately try to prove their son has nothing to do with Emily’s disappearance. Most of the story is told through Andy and Laura, the police investigation, with a few chapters from Harriet and Rob. Also chapters before Emily disappeared through the POV of Emily, Olivia, Drew, Zac and Connor. What happened that night? Where is Emily? Is she dead or alive? Who knows the truth?

There are several twists to this story that keeps you guessing until the end, with a surprising twist you just don’t see coming. I could so relate to this story having raised 4 children, every parent worries about their children, you do your best to instil in them to always be truthful, to stay out of trouble, stay away from drugs, don’t get drunk. But once they reach an age where you can’t protect them anymore it’s tough, I’m just glad I got my children through that period. With no trouble. This is a well written, plotted story, engaging from start to finishing as you try to work out what happened that night. I highly recommend this one if you’ve never read anything by this author this is a great place to start.

Thank you to #netgalley and #Zaffre for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest, fair and unbiased review.

I've enjoyed reading this authors previous novels so was looking forward to reading this one. It started out well, an interesting storyline that drew me in fairly quickly.
The plot was good and there were some interesting insights into relationships parents have with their children. Unfortunately as the storyline progressed, I found my preoccupation with the poor parenting skills overshadowed the events and it kind of went downhill from there.

Not a bad book in my opinion, but far from his best.
