A sweet, steamy romance! A great summer beach read as we learn more about this family and it's dynamics and changes (if you haven't read the previous about the sisters, grab them too) this book stands alone but lets us revisit characters from other books as family drama weaves its way through the story of the buttoned up lawyer and the laid back 'hippie'

I took the time to read the previous two book is this series and was glad I did to follow the lives of three sisters after their mother passes.
In this third instalment we see Dierdra a workaholic who values here worth through those long hours at a law firm trying to prove herself , after losing out to a gentleman outside her company for a higher position in the firm she takes a hiatus and heads home to help her sisters out and is hopeful her boss realizes how much she is needed. Life takes a slight turn when “ the hippie chef and musician “ who is working at her sisters cafe decides to get under her skin showing her that their is more to life than working. I enjoyed their story to find one anouther . I loved the farm to fork farms and restaurants were part of the story along with a brother with autism. So me great topics that should be talked about more often.
It’s a great romance story with some steamy scenes.

I will be looking to read more from this author in future .

I received a free copy from NetGalley and all opinions are my own .

I would recommend this series and author to friends and my book club

Maybe We Won't is the story of Deirdra de Messeires, a successful attorney who has no interest in returning to her home of Silver Island, and Josiah "Jagger" Jones, a man with strong ties to his family but an eagerness to roam.

Deirdra has been passed over for a promotion at work, causing her to take a 2 month hiatus and come home to Silver Island. While there, she devotes herself to being a better sister to Cait and Abby, but always plans to leave right after Cait's engagement party. There are too many memories of her alcoholic mother haunting her in Silver Island, and Deirdra is eager to get back to her climb up the corporate ladder.

Jagger was a good friend of Deirdra's mother as someone who spent his summers in Silver Island working as a cook at her family's bistro. He and his dog Dolly live life in an RV, freely traveling wherever the wind takes them, earning him the nickname "dirty hippie" from Deirdra.

This book was a definite "opposites attract" trope. At times, Deirdra was a very difficult character to like, but after more time with Jagger she becomes more empathetic and thoughtful. My favorite part of this book was Dolly the Dalmatian. I enjoyed the book, but it doesn't leave me. hankering to pick up any other books in this series. While it was good, it wasn't a standout for me among the thousands of romance books out there.

Plot: Deirdra has taken a two month break from her demanding job as a Boston Attorney after being overlooked for a promotion. She has returned to Silver Island to spend some time with her two sisters who are currently planning their weddings and engagements. After Deirdra's mother died Silver Island became the last place she wanted to go after having a very turbulent relationship with her. She meets a family friend Josiah 'Jagger' who is determined to show Deirdra that there is more to life than work.

Review: This is the third instalment in a series but can be read as a standalone novel. I enjoyed this novel and it was my first one by Melissa Foster. I enjoyed all the characters in the book, especially Deirdra and Jagger who were such polar opposites and I thought the storyline was well written. I just felt I would have benefitted from reading the first two books as at times I felt a little lost with the additional characters and who they were. Although saying that for my first novel by Melissa Foster it was a pleasure to read it and it was a well researched book.

Since this series started, I've been waiting for Deidra's story and I was not disappointed despite the emotional trip that I took while reading it.

In this standalone read to this series we get Deidra's story. We have seen glimpses of her throughout the series but and know a little about her. She has worked hard as an attorney but has been recently passed up for a promotion. As a means to show her value to her firm she takes leave and returns to Silver Island - the last place that she really wants to be - the place that she has many unhappy memories of her childhood that she would just as soon forget. She does have family there but her twi sisters are in new relationships and happy while she is not.

Jagger - polar opposite of Deidra is a laid back hippie musician/ cook on Silver Island. He travels around in an RV and knows Deidra's mother who had passed away but did not know of her passing. In true opposite attract fashion, the pair get together and things ignite from there.

In this funny at times and heart breaking at other times, Deidra learns to be a better sibling to her two sisters while learning to loosen up in life.

This was a good read that I enjoyed from start to finish. I liked the return of the characters from the previous two books so that we can stay caught up with them as characters. If you are not up to the rollercoaster that this story goes on then this isn't the book for you but as a fan of Ms. Foster's work, this was a great read even if I needed the tissues. Overall, I would recommend this book to others.

What a great fun story. Deirdra and Jagger total opposites and that’s what makes this love story so fun. I love Jagger’s playfulness. It definitely tones down Deirdra’s strong will. He makes he lose control a little.

When workaholic Boston attorney Deirdra de Messiéres is passed over for a well-deserved promotion, she takes a two-month hiatus and heads home to Silver Island. But beyond seeing her sisters happy, home is not where Deirdra’s heart is. She has no interest in their family restaurant, the Bistro, or reliving hurtful childhood memories. But, when she meets Josiah “Jagger” Jones, the Bistro’s musician and chef, she’s intrigued by his laid-back lifestyle and his carefree ways. Jagger has overcome his own personal trials and feels that he can help Deirdra find her peace within his loving embrace. Will she let down her barriers to let true love in?
I loved this contemporary romance. At first, it seemed like a beach read, a simple romance story that is more fluff than anything else. But, as I kept reading, more of a heartfelt deep story about true love emerged. Not just love between the main characters, but the love of family. It was about how we need to take care of each other during the good times and the dark times. This is the first time I read a Melissa Foster book, but it will not be the last. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the advanced reader’s copy of this book. This review is my unbiased opinion.

Maybe We Won’t is the third book in Melissa Foster’s Silver Harbor series. Melissa Foster’s tells stories full of big feels and larger than life characters. She has a way of drawing you into the settings and feeling like you have been transported into their world.
This is Deirdra de Messiéres and Josiah “Jagger” Jones story. This opposites attract story that was so well written. On sabbatical from her day job as a corporate lawyer Deirdra is returning home to Silver Harbor for a break.
Deirdra is staying with her sister and her sister’s fiancé in her childhood home. She is truly annoyed with everyone, but her biggest annoyance is with he chef/musician at her families bistro, Jagger.

However, despite her feelings she is attracted to here. There is so much chemistry between them that it is intense. Both Jagger and Deirdra have baggage and could not be more opposite and yet as a couple they really are suited.

Maybe we won’t is a well done romance read. It’s intense, and gut wrenchingly honest Romance. I did struggle with so many characters on the page. I know that the authors series are all interconnected but at time the pages are crowded with to many characters. I am often left feeling confused. I also felt like it caused main characters at times to get lost.

Maybe We Won't is a wonderful read. I loved every moment of this one. I could not put it down. You get two opposites colliding and just wait and see what happens to the hippy boy and the uptight workaholic. Jagger is living his best life the way he wants it. He is more then he seems, and you will just love his laid-back ways. Deirdra is a workaholic who misses out on life in many ways. She is running from her past and determined not to be like her mother. Deirdra is on a break and doesn't realize all the changes she needed to make. There is something so magical and beautiful when it comes to the way Jagger gets Deirdra to drop her walls and live a freer life. I loved watching all the changes in Deirdra as she gives in and enjoys life more fully and repairs her relationships with her sisters. Deirdra and Jagger are hot together and make so much sense once they just give in. You are just going to love this couple so much. If you haven't made a trip to Silver Harbor yet, then you really need to and fall in love with this Island way of life. Go one click this one and see what happens when you make the most out of life.

Maybe We Won't is an emotional rollercoaster that left me crying (I bet Melissa's not even sorry for it - to be fair, I’m not either!), but also made me believe and soothed my soul.

If you've read the other books, you've already had glimpses of Jagger and Deirdra. They couldn't be more different. She's a lawyer, a city girl, a planner, someone who has to have everything organized and cannot go with the flow to save her life. Jagger lives in an RV with his dog. He's a cook and a musician, and he goes wherever the wind takes him. They're both generous, kind people, but they handle their lives in totally different ways.

Deirdra faces a difficult situation at work and takes some time off, coming back to Silver Island to be with her sisters, and Jagger's there. There's always been something simmering between them, something she's tried to deny as she deflected his attempts to charm her, but that's becoming harder and harder. Because Jagger is... well, Jagger is pretty much the guy she needs.
Maybe she's just not able to see it yet.

When Deidra’s workaholic self clashes against Jagger's go-with-the-flow personality, you feel the tension between them. You know how good they can be for, and with, each other. And you're rooting for them.

I want to say this is a grumpy/sunshine story, because it is, but it also isn't. Deirdra had to adapt her life and become someone else because of certain circumstances. She's had to put her heart on the back burner. But the little girl who believes in love, in happily ever afters, and in chasing dreams is still there.
All she needs is someone to help her realize that.

We're all different people throughout our lives, and we change and adapt because of it. Sometimes for the better, many times for the worst. Because we're afraid of living, and getting hurt.
Meeting someone who can see who you really are underneath it all is a rare thing. If you do, grab on to them. It'll definitely be worth it.

I know my review for this book will be in the minority because from what I can see, everyone else is raving about it. Unfortunately, it just didn't quite hit the mark for me. I've really enjoyed this series so far but for some reason, I struggled to connect with Deirdra and Jagger; I can't put my finger on what caused this but as hard as I tried, it didn't happen.

I don't think I have ever not just absolutely loved a book written by this wonderful author! And this one continues the streak. This story is sweet, fun, and sexy, and honestly just the right amount of all of it. Jagger and Deirdre "Didi" are a great couple and play off each other perfectly. I love what they discover through each other and how for Didi especially, it changes her life's trajectory in such an amazing way. I adored their story!

Deidra and Jagger touched my soul. Their story was one that had me filled with so many emotions. They were perfect together.
I loved being back to Silver Island in this book from the series Silver Harbor. Melissa Foster has done another fabulous job making the characters in this series people I want to meet in real life.
This being the third in the series is one you can read as a standalone, but you will want to start with the first in the series to get to know everyone.
Thank you NetGalley, Melissa Foster and Montlake for the ARC of Maybe We Won't. This is my personal review.

I absolutely love Jagger and Didi!! He is so romantic and thoughtful and his love for her was beautiful. He saw past her all- business attitude and brought the fun and lively Didi out to play; a version of herself that had been hidden for years. Jagger is a man who goes after what he wants, and he has had his eye on Didi for a while. Some people see him as a free-spirited hippie who lives day to day with no plans or aspirations for the future, but they couldn’t be more wrong.

Jagger is passionate about life, his dog and of course, Didi. His eyes light up whenever he sees her even when she is scowling or has her head in her computer. He is thoughtful and kind; an old soul who lives each day in harmony with nature. He never seems to let anything bother him and his positivity was only one of the many things I loved about him!! He would be any woman’s Prince Charming but in Didi’s eyes, he was her “Hippie Boy.”

Jagger and Didi effortlessly fell into a stress-free relationship that was good for both of them. They did yoga on the beach, Didi wiggled her toes in the sand, and she fell in love with his adorable dog, Dolly. Jagger's romantic nature was so sweet, and he was just the man to bring love and laughter to Didi’s busy life. Reading “Maybe We Won’t” made me wish for a simpler life with fewer worries and a lot more fun. Traveling the world and surrounding himself with his music and cooking used to be enough for Jagger but finding Didi, the love of his life, was a dream come true and he never wanted to wake up. I adore Jagger and Didi and I wish their story could go on forever!!

Deirdra’s story in the Silver Harbor series was off the charts good. One I didn’t want to put down. Deirdra has a lot of anger from her past and throws herself into her work. Until it was gone. Jagger loves Deirdra from the start and makes it his mission to get her to relax and see what she has on the island - love and family.
With two polar opposites, we can see if love is truly there, one can make it work.

This book was so good.. Deirdra was a good attorney that had worked her tail off and was passed over for a promotion she deserved. She immediately put in for 2 months vacation thinking her boss would miss her work. She was quite surprised that didn't happen. She went back to her home town temporarily to visit with her sisters and realized she wasn't a very good sister. She had put her work first for years. She meets Jagger and thinks he's a deadbeat. The story is quite entertaining as she realizes what is more important than working constantly an Jagger teaches her how to relax and enjoy him. She also learns how to be a better sister. A truly lovely story
I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaviing a review
