The Dirty Truth is a wonderful, sometimes emotional, slow burn read with lots heat and heart. Enemies to lovers, West and Elle have great chemistry that deepens into something special as their friendship grows. It’s a well written, intriguing and exciting workplace romance with fantastic characters. I loved it!

I always love reading a new book from Winter Renshaw, and The Dirty Truth is a read that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. This story is sweet, relatable, swoony, and an all around wonderful romance between Elle and West. These characters are well written and their story is one that you fall in love with throughout the read with the full range of emotions from both characters.

When our herione Elle Napier suffered a health crisis she put a lot of things in perspective and that includes her arrogant boss West Maxwell. For her monthly article in a popular magazine that West owns she writes about him and it's not flattering by any means she reminds his readers to love themselves rather than the man on the cover of the magazines,
Getting to know each other is the core of this story when she quits and West tries to whoo her back and readers are taught life lessons along the way

Elle decides to up and quit her job after a near death experience, feeling like she should do what really makes her happy, and working for her condescending boss isn't it. She does however end up having to interact with him on much more informal basis when she agrees to be a mentor to his niece who has been struggling since moving across the country and in with him.

I enjoyed the parts of the story with Elle and West's niece Scarlett and I enjoyed reading Elle's magazine articles. I also enjoyed the insights that were provided about West's thoughts and feelings about Elle that he kept hidden over the previous several years she worked for him and how much he admired her and how fond of her he was.

I struggled a little at the beginning of the story as it took me a little to become truly invested in the story. I also didn't find West and Elle completely believable as a couple. I'm not sure why but it seems like everything changed between them fairly quickly and I didn't feel like they really had a lot of chemistry.

I did really enjoy the ending and overall I did enjoy the story. It was well written, just not my favorite of this authors. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Very enjoyable. It's nice to read a book where you don't feel the need to yell at the characters for being ridiculous and immature. West had some serious walls, and watching them come down was something. I loved the dynamic between all the characters, not just between Elle and West, it felt more real than a lot of books. There is some sex, but it's not the main focus. It's some of the most tame scenes I've read. It's definitely more story focus than graphic sex that so many books are, but it's not clean, because frankly that's not real life for most people.

It has been a while since I have read a proper romance story and enjoyed it as most have just become sex-fuelled stories and felt so blah. This author, I read one of her romances years ago and loved -Absinthe, and then recently discovered that she writes psychological thrillers under the name Minka Kent which I smiled as I have read all of her books to date and also enjoyed. The Dirty Truth ticks all my boxes and turned out to be a really good read. We have our main female character Elle who has had a brush with death when she nearly died from a brain aneurysm and to make matters worst, the woman who saved her life happened to be her boyfriend's wife as he had been leading a double life. Elle also for the past five years has been writing a column called The Dirty Truth and now she feels it is just "fluff" and not the real journalism, she wanted to be writing when she left university. Reading Elle's experience didn't surprise me as when often read about people who have had near-death/death experiences coming back with a new view on their lives. Elle's boss West Maxwell presents a strong facade to the world but nobody knows the real West and when he and Elle go face to face and she quits her job. This intrigues him and so he wants her to get to know the real "Elle". This comes through him hiring her to help with his niece Scarlett who is going through a hard time settling in New York with Uncle West's rules and life. This was a great romance billionaire read that has both characters re-evaluating their lives for the better and shows readers sometimes you need to upheave your lives for something great to spark as the tiny thing may have been the catalyst for something awesome coming along. If you are on the look for a new romance reader to check out, then have a read of Winter Renshaw as you will not be disappointed with her easy-to-read romances and likable characters.

“I didn’t see God when I died.” Awesome first line! I was worried this would be the best of this book, but it stayed true. Elle, a columnist for a men’s magazine, tosses her career away after dying for 3 minutes on an operating table. Her first week back to work, her boss demands she rewrite her column just hours before deadline. Turning in her resignation along with a scathing editorial, she decides life is too short to spend writing meaningless content. So begins her quest to add significance to her life.
This is a terrific story. I love the characters; Elle especially, after she brunches alone at an elite restaurant, grabbing the opportunity to “have a date with herself.” I love the romance - even though I usually shy away from contemporary romance - and found myself immediately smitten. I even loved West, rude, distant, and unlikeable, once I realized he had his own demons to deal with.
I am now a big Winter Renshaw fan. Never experiencing her work before, I have begun scouring my local library and bookstores for more of her books. Plus, I have already pre-ordered three (yes THREE, because I must share) copies of this title. Obviously, I enjoyed reading this book very much. THANK YOU to NetGalley, Montlake, and Winter Renshaw for allowing me early access in exchange for my honest review. I will be discussing this with all my book-buddies and anyone else who cares to listen.

I absolutely loved reading this book! I devoured it and couldn't put it down! Elle and West were fantastic!! Elle went through a life altering ordeal and that changes everything. She is a very strong character and I was cheering her on all the way!!! West is somewhat misunderstood and elusive. He is sort of in the public eye but not really. Elle is offered an exclusive story on West Maxwell, and it comes with stipulations. I LOOOOVED their push and pull. I LOOOVED their chemistry. I just LOOOOVED them together! This is probably one of my favorite Winter Renshaw reads for sure!!!

I love a good easy to read contemporary romance from Winter Renshaw. This one felt like the usually from Winter, but yet it had another layer to it. The Dirty Truth had a layer of emotional depth that Winter typically doesn't add to her "lighter" books - which I though this one was. I also felt this story was more slow but romance, not something I usually get from Winter. It was a nice surprise but yet not. I was wanting something else from her book at the moment I read it, and that's not what we got. I did enjoy the extra depth and the slow burn aspects, it was just new to me. Overall I would definatly recommend this book to anyone, along with the rest of Winter's books. She never disappoints me, and I also close the book feeling like it checked all the boxes I have.

A very moving story with likable main characters. The premise was very interesting and made the reader think about what is important in life and seize the moment. Elle is a journalist working for a men's magazine but after a medical crisis and an issue at work, she leaves her job. West owns the magazine and takes exception to her latest article and her resignation. West is also a guardian for his niece and seeks assistance eventually from Elle. As Elle becomes close to his niece and both West and Elle start to understand each other better. It is a fast-moving story, the characters are all interesting and developed.

More than meets the eye!

Wow these two are definitely a perfect contradiction. They should not make sense. But somehow the author takes you on this odd chemistry build. Every time I thought I knew were the story would go it went just a little bit the other way. What it absolutely did not lack was character building.

The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: After a brush with death, I realize it’s time to make changes in my life. Big changes.
First, my job. I love being a journalist, but I hate my megawatt magnate boss, West Maxwell. When he demands I rewrite an article on short notice, I turn the tables on him with a scathing new column and quit in a blaze of glory.
But West isn’t about to let me go that easily, the jerk. He offers me an unexpected new position: mentor to his rebellious teenage niece. For some reason, I agree—I like helping people, but I’m also admittedly curious to glimpse the man behind the mogul.

However, I soon discover that my new assignment isn’t what I expected. As I learn about the private side of my enigmatic boss, I start to see the heart he hides behind his icy facade. The old Elle hated West…but maybe—just maybe—the new Elle can tame him.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I really loved West and Elle, their story was emotional, great banter, caring and learning how to open up and grab what you want. West is a complex man and now raising his niece Scarlett his life has taken a turn and not for the better. Enter Elle, she’s got spunk, she’s fiery, and full of sass, and the boss man has been waiting a long time to get to know her better. An opportunity arises for Elle to help Scarlett adjust to her new surroundings, what West didn’t expect was just how deep under his skin Elle would get and could he be the man for her? Amazing read by this author.

Loved the premise and the interactions between the characters but i needed more. The book needed to be fleshed out, the characters were interesting but nothing go to deep which is weird because the issues are deep. I was honestly hoping for more. There was too much telling and not enough showing. This could have been a great angsty read if the author went deeper.

Very good and so satisfying to read.
I loved this story and the characters.
They had a wonderful chemistry if sometimes strained relationship, and Scarlett was a great character, a perfect description of a teenager, I’ve had 3 I know how they roll.
I will definitely read more from this author.

I've never heard of this author, but the familiar topic (rich NY in charge of a young gal engages independent-minded, attractive female to help him with his new charge whereupon she breaks his hard shell and helps him grow a heart to conclude with HEA) assured me that this was a simple blueprint to follow. In the hands of an unskilled writer, this could be awful = 1 star. In the hands of a good author, this could be amazing = 5 stars. I'm pleased that Winter Renshaw did the story enough justice and provided it a slightly different take with the near-death experience to help make this better than average. I liked it = 3 stars.

It's no secret I'm a Renshaw fan. And this story exemplifies exactly why. This book is rich in plot, and the story is multi-layered with fully-fleshed out characters. Care is taken in developing the various relationship within the story and addressing issues as they are revealed. All penned in beautiful writing with building emotion that had me turning the page.

Elle Napier is strong and decisive. And I absolutely loved her. After a near-death experience, she realizes life is too short. She won't compromise. So when her boss, West Maxwell, tells her to resubmit her Dirty Truth column for the magazine, she dishes out a truth he wasn't ready to accept.

West initially comes across as a harsh businessman edging on jerkdome. But he didn't get where he was by being polite. His image is carefully crafted and every decision is with purpose. But even that makes him ill prepared for caring for his niece, Scarlett. She's a teenager and emotional - but not a brat (thankfully). She and West share common roots even if they don't realize it. Thankfully, Elle becomes the bridge between them.

The story is rich with emotion and slow building relationships. Aside from Elle and West, we witness the friendship between Elle and Scarlett, the rock-solid support between Elle and Indie, and the heart-breaking interaction between Scarlett and Lexi. The heat takes a backseat in this story until about the three-quarter mark, but the tension between Elle and West is undeniable and so ever-present that when they finally connect physically, it's far more than just heat between the sheets.

This story is beautiful and emotional with a message about family, friendship, and the strength of its bonds. It is eloquently penned in the fluid style I've come to expect from this author. If you enjoy stories with a grand focus on building relationships and character development, then you will likely love this tale. And the ending will leave you with a huge smile and lingering satisfaction.
