Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
For Mavis, she was looking forward to her wedding, marrying Sam, the youngest brother of the Farley boys, and being a part of their family. That’s all Mavis wants, maybe more than having her own family.
Things don’t go to plan, as someone comes to the wedding, bringing with them the past, which Mavis wants to forget about.
Soon after, around South Shields, people are gossiping. One of the girls working at The Biscuit Factory, she’s always had a mystery surrounding her. Everyone knows that Mavis and her brother Arthur are orphans.
So why did a lady come to her wedding? If they’re orphans, how can they have their own house?
Most of all what is it that Mavis doesn’t want anyone to know?
Will these secrets remain or will the truths be uncovered?
I recommend this book.
Another brilliant story following the biscuit girls through their daily life through their happy moments and also the sad times I will definatley be re-reading this series as i love books that draw you into the story.5*
I absolutely loved this story from the very beginning. The story of Mavis and Sam was touching and enthralling. It was lovely to follow all the characters and their incredible stories of love and loss. The support and friendship that everyone received was touching. A really beautifully written book.

Elsie Mason writes so eloquently about her characters you can almost imagine them to be friends of yours ,
In fact , to some degree , they have become friends. A wonderful instalment .
