What a delightful book. The thing i love the most about Miss Katie's books is the English view of everyday living and adventures in each one. This is one of my favourites of hers - definitely going in the re-read pile. (Flora's Lot/Bidding for Love was similar, but one is even lighter)
How to describe? It's like a lovely refreshing breeze on an warm summer's day, or that perfect light lemony creamy dessert after a meal... i find myself smiling just to reminisce over all the adventures.
So here i am, waiting for the next one! :)

A cosy and charming read that really transports you and mad me feel all good things! A lovely read that didn't disappoint

Fantastic book which transported you there. Likeable characters and a good pace. A favourite author and this did not disappoint!

Katie Fforde has such a way with writing that you actually feel transported to the destination in her novels. This time, it was France. And my goodness by the time I was done I was on Google Maps wandering the streets and looking for little cafes to fall in love with. The only drawback was this is book 2 in a series, and I wish I'd read book one. Other than that, this was another charming love story by Katie Fforde!

I always love reading a Katie Fforde book and this one did not disappoint. A charming romantic read that has left me wanting to book a trip to France. A perfect holiday read.

Loved this, the second book in the series. It expanded on the story of Alex, which was very different to the first book but really enjoyable.

I absolutely loved this Katie Fforde book such a lovely charming read. I loved the characters and the settings, I do enjoy reading books set in foreign countries. I especially enjoyed reading about France in this story. Katie Fforde knows how to write such interesting and believable characters that are so wonderful. I loved reading about Alexandra!
My only wish is that I read this story during the summer!
Highly recommend this story to any romance readers especially ones set in France. I have always enjoyed Katie Fforde books and this one did not disappoint. Thank you to net galley for my copy!

I loved this latest novel from Katie Fforde. It’s an easy, engaging read, with her usual happy ending. I shall miss the Provençal world of the well drawn characters she created.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
Loved this book, was a lovely read set in 1963 in Provence following Alexandra who travels to Paris after finishing school in Switzerland and accepts a job as a nanny however doesn't really feel as though she fits in. Felt this had a really cute storyline and a nice clean romance. Perfect for a holiday read

I love Katie Fforde! Her books are so well written and this was no exception. Great characters and a really well written story line. Recommended.

Lovely! Feelgood, uplifting romance at its best from the queen of HEA. Glorious setting takes the reader away to sunnier settings.

With her signature blend of romance, humor, and scenic descriptions, Fforde delivers a charming story that will leave you yearning for a French adventure of your own.
The book centers around Gina, a recent divorcee who decides to attend her ex-husband’s wedding in Provence, despite her reservations. As Gina arrives in the sun-soaked countryside, she finds herself drawn to the local charm, the fragrant lavender fields, and the possibility of new beginnings. I’ve read a few of Fforde’s books now and will look out for more!

I really loved the book. The writing, the characters, the setting… we’re all perfect. I would have given it five stars if it weren’t for the ending… I wanted it to carry on or give a final chapter a couple of years later.

When you want a guaranteed good romantic feel good read pick Katie Ffjorde! It only took a couple of pages before the book has you encapsulated and this particular one finds us in France in 1963! It's a 2nd book apparantly but can be read as a stand alone. Lie back and enjoy!

The writing in this book is definitely unique and the coincidences where a bit unbelievable. But I don't know what it is but I just found it really boring like I am currently 5 chapters in and I'm just like this is kind of dull. So unfortunately I will be dnfing as I just don't think I care to continue which is disappointing as I heard great things about Katie Fforde's writing.

I've been a fan of Katie's for a while now. This story took a little while to get my attention, though when it did, I was able to settle back and enjoy the journey the author took me on. Unusually set in 60's France, this was my only issue, as I had a little trouble with the setting otherwise, pure Katie.

A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

I love a Katie Fforde book so was really excited about this - lived up to expectations and was a nice, fun, light hearted read.
