Firstly, huge thank you to NetGalley and Orion for allowing me to read an advanced copy of What Time Is Love?

What Time Is Love takes place over three decades following the lives of Violet and Albert. This book is based on the premise of right person, wrong time (which I loved!)

This was such a fun and unique romance novel, I knew I would love the concept of this book as soon as I read the synopsis. I did struggle a bit initially to get into the book but as the story got going, I found myself totally immersed in the author’s writing style. It’s phenomenal how she manages to convey such simple moments in life, in such a beautiful, moving way. This reminded me of how I often feel when reading Taylor Jenkins Reid’s work. I am really looking forward to reading more books by Holly Williams in the future.

There were definitely some era’s that I preferred to others but it was the characters that really brought it home for me. I really felt such strong attachment to them that I felt like I’d known them myself. I just know I will be thinking about this one for a long time. I want to point out that there could be some triggering moments in this book for some readers, so I would advise looking those up before you read it.

Overall, I really liked this one and would recommend it, particularly if you are one for emotional books that leave you thinking about life afterwards.

What Time is Love is so different to the books that I usually read. Set over 3 decades, 1947, 1967 and 1987 and the characters are Violet and Albert. It is a story bases on the timing of things in life and something will happen when the time is right. If you are wanting a different kind of romance, this books is the one for you. Thank you to Netgalley and Holly Williams for the opportunity to read this book as an eARC

What a lovely book this was!
I loved Violet and Albert and the concept of them always meeting at the age of 20 was refreshing, although I enjoyed some eras more than others, I'd recommend!

What Time is Love? takes place over 3 decades following the lives of Violet and Albert. It is a story about relationships and places emphasis on the challenges faced throughout.

Holly Williams is an excellent storyteller and I found myself captivated by the unique storyline, although there were questionable elements that had me reconsidering if I should continue reading.

This book is thoroughly thought-provoking and Holly Williams has an extraordinary way of putting thoughts into words that you rarely know how to describe. Important life lessons are conveyed through the character's experiences and reflect upon the importance of communication within romantic relationships.

What Time is Love? is not a book I would typically pick up but I enjoyed it nevertheless.

Thank you to the publisher & Netgalley for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

What Time is Love? is based over three different decades, 1947, 1967, 1987 and the main characters are Violet and Albert. This is a story about love and relationships but a challenging and extraordinary story based on the premise of right person, wrong time. Fascinating characters, exceptional descriptions and a captivating storyline. .

A beautiful debut by Holly Williams.

Thank you very much for my advanced copy. This review is based on a NetGalley ARC provided in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion.

I thought from the blurb and author reviews of this book that I would love it....I wouldn't say I loved it but it certainly grew on me the further I got into it.

The writing is gorgeous and descriptions of people and places are lovely.

An interesting book that left me thinking about it long after I finished it.

Holly Williams is a phenomenal writer and one that knows how to put words to feelings and moments that often leave you searching forever for a way to describe them. Reading this book felt like a reflective exercise. It's not the sort of thing you read and just move on from.

Each aspect of this book was so well thought out, developed and so instrumental to the final product. I don't know if I've ever felt such a profound connection to so many of characters, the way I did with What Time is Love.

This book was also an emotional rollercoaster. I couldn't get through all three eras without first needing a break between each one. It's important to note that the contents of this may be triggering for people, so I would recommend first understanding a bit more of to expect, before picking it up to read.

Overall, I don't really know how to rate this. I can't say I loved it, because it's a hard book to love in the way you'd love others of this genre. I don't know if I will read it again any time soon, maybe sometime way in the future. Because I don't think I could just re-read so easily. However, it was a beautiful experience and so very real. And I don't think I can rate it any less than five stars. If for nothing else by the amazing prose and exceptional characterisation. I am definitely looking forward to seeing and reading more by Holly Williams.

The publisher kindly provided ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

When reading the blurb, I loved the context of this book and have always felt timing is everything.
But I struggled from the off to get immersed into this read. Not sure why, and clearly an odd one out looking at the other glowing reviews.

One moment is all it takes...

As their eyes first meet, for a split-second it's as if the clocks have stopped. Nothing else matters. Yet whichever decade brings them together, Violet and Albert are soon forced to question: what if they met the right person at the wrong time?

Fascinating… A beautiful story that captures your attention and your heart from beginning to end

A great and worthy five-star read. This is a great story and one that will leave you wondering so much. I don’t know what to write, every time I start, I fear I will give the story away, and honestly this story is so good I wont do it justice. If ever you have wondered what if, then you need this story in your life.
