When Emma and Josh broke up she thought that was the end, but now she is forced to spend a week in a car with her ex, when her navigator for car rally drops out at the last minute.
The story reads as you would expect with two people in that situation but slowly they start to remember the reasons they fell in love in the first place and as they rediscover their feeling they rediscover each other as well

A second chance romance - I enjoyed this

A bit of the usual M&B - attraction, arguments etc but enjoyed the way this was written

A well spent afternoon

A cute look at a couple of exes who spend a week time together piloting and co-piloting their car for charity. Their earlier break up is interesting and looked at and dissected by both Josh and Emma. We follow them both, although especially Emma, on their feelings and how they develop. There are misunderstandings and rows which generally seem to end with one just getting over it and saying they are sorry though the ending is a bit different.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Mills and Boon and Annie Claydon for the e arc cop of this book.

Dr Emma is taking part in a charity car rally in a mini that was her father’s pride and joy. All is going well until she has to change navigators. Her new navigator is Josh – her ex. Can being confined to a small car help them remember what they loved about each other or will they be glad to see the back of each other at the end?

A well-paced book, with great characters. I loved that we get to see what happens after the rally ends and get a glimpse into the world of organ transplant surgery.
Would recommend this book.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Mills and Boon, in return for an honest review.

I really, really enjoyed the story.. It was realistic, emotional and truly engaging. Josh and Emma were a fabulous hero and heroine, who came together to complete a fundraising car chase. Annie Claydon has a deft touch and writes really really well and I’ll be looking out for more of her books. I just totally loved the story.

The synopsis of this book describes very accurately the first few chapters of this book. "A week with your ex sounds like a nightmare, but it’s Dr. Emma’s reality when her partner in a charity classic car rally bails last minute. Now, with surgeon Josh acting as her replacement navigator, the confined space forces them to confront just what went wrong between them. And as tensions mount, so does the temptation to start right where they left off!" The tension of the situation is built very realistically, and the continuing relationship between the characters has you rooting for them to find their HEA instead of going their separate ways as it looks as though they are going to do at one point in the story. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
