I found this book very helpful in my social media job. I use it like a work bible! I highly recommend thisi book for anyone learning or working in social media.

This book is a useful resource for businesses and managers wanting to improve how they use social media marketing, providing a number of helpful case studies in a clearly structured way.

This book was helpful for me with a couple of ideas for SMM improvement in ONE's for my own venture. Overall the book represents a very good comprehensive structured approach to social media management in an organization. If you are new to social media marketing this book can provide you an overview and structure as well as explain this side of the business. The ideas can be used for employees work structure as well as for a start-up environment where it is important to have a suitable marketing strategy from day one.

This book was really well written. It would be great for someone that already has some social media experience and is looking to make a career out of it or already has job in social media. I was looking for this book to help with my social media presence for my small business, but I have no business-orientated experience and most of the information was above my head. I did really enjoy the chapter called Humanity. It gave some great tips on different kinds of things post and how to develop engagement. One tip I really liked was that it was okay to ask questions outside of the realm of your business. I sometimes ask random things like what's your favorite kind of pie just because I'm braindead and looking for some easy engagement. It was explained that this was good for building rapport with your followers. There were several good tips like that that I've taken away.

Nothing much I didn't already know, but good for a simple refresh. If you're interested in starting, worth reading.

An interesting and well-researched guide about implementing social media marketing to improve and benefit business. Featuring useful case studies, examples of different policies and practices and examples from leading experts. The case studies were well laid out, quite easy to understand (of course there is some industry jargon) and provide some good thought experiments to consider when creating your own marketing strategy and plans. There was quite a few chapters that felt relevant to my own industry and could be useful in maintaining a good social media presence.

An extremely well-researched and helpful book for someone who has recently taken over the social media of a medium sized non-profit. I gained a lot of insights from the author about how to utilize social media to the best of my ability, and how to make a case for investing time, and even money, into social media with the powers that be. It is an easy read, not dry or preachy, and provides insightful real world experiences. Not every chapter will apply to everyone, but if you are put in charge of any sort of social media for your business, this is worth a read.
