Normally I love novels like this but for some reason I couldn’t get into it. I picked it up and put it down so many times that it left me frustrated.
NOVELLA - I didn't realise this wasn't a full length novel when I picked it up. The synopsis is a lot - so much that it's actually amazing the author managed to fit everything onto so few pages.
In saying that, it all does of course feel rushed. Overall, the pace is very fast and there are lots of characters and POVs, so there's a bit too much going on for me.
I liked the opening scene with the asylum most. The ending is predictable but not in a bad way. I liked how it managed to tie together nicely.
I really enjoyed this book. Character development was good. The plot was very interesting. Not a lot of typos.

While the Vietnam angel made me feel it might seem dated this is a good thriller you could easily see on the screen. I enjoyed the variety of characters and how they all played a vital part in the overall story. Not your usual super hero vet but rather just a vet trying to get by and the law trying to figure it all out in time.
