Lorelai, a seemingly ordinary young woman has a secret she has kept for years. Whenever she kisses someone on the lips, she can see how they are going to die. Does her kiss seal their fate or can they change their own destiny?

Lorelai has spent many years alone and she's made her peace with that. That is, until she meets Grayson. For the first time ever she yearns for a man's kiss. But she can't... can she?

This story started out like many other contemporary romance stories do, boy meets girl. But just when you think it's going to be the same old story that has become predictable over the years, this story features a little twist.

I enjoyed the concept of this book and found it intriguing. You never quite know with a twist like this what way it's going to turn out.

I did find the pace of the book rather slow and for what felt like most of the story, it just seemed like any other love story. I was glad and enjoyed it more once the true plot, for lack of a better term, was revealed.

I did enjoy this book overall but it doesn't stand out to me in regards to the story itself or the writing style but it is a cute and cosy book to escape reality.

What a fabulous book, this is the first book I have read by Carrie Hope Fletcher and I can't wait to read more. Absolutely hooked from the start and could not put this down.

This book seems to sum up why I’m not the biggest fan of Carrie Hope Fletcher anymore. I got this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review and although I did enjoy the story- it wasn’t perfect and was definitely predictable.

Aside from the fact there’s a small moment of transphobia with a trans character who is never seen again after once scene, the main character over reacts A LOT over the fact she can’t kiss people because of her “power”.

I actually liked the character of Joanie more than I liked Lorelai. She felt more human, more reactive to things, whereas Lorelai walked around in a bubble worried she may cause someone’s death.

The romance was less meet cute and more ‘here’s a male character the mc thinks is hot let’s get them together’ which I felt was a little unnecessary due to the fact they didn’t really know each other and had basically one date.

It didn’t feel realistic.

It’s an enjoyable story other than that and there were moments I liked. I just know that I won’t be reading anything by Carrie again.

Lorelai is a young woman with a terrifying secret - when she kisses a person on the lips she sees their death in full colour. This came to light as a young teenager and both boys died shortly after in the way she saw it. Determined to spend her life alone to protect herself, and those around her she cuts her emotions off and keeps everyone around her at arms length, apart from her best friend - the only person who knows her secret.
Her willpower is tested when she meets Grayson but still vows to keep her distance no matter how strong her feelings get.

Will love win the battle or is Lorelai destined be alone forever.

The premise of the story could be very different to other love stories but I found it very repetitive about keeping the secret and quite slow paced. Quite disappointing given its potential

A rom-com with a twist - the heroine hasn't been able to kiss since the age of 16, when she received a nightmarish image of the death of the boy she was kissing. Now unsure, whether her kiss seals the fate or just reveals it, Lorelei gives romance a wide berth and spends her time with the day to day running of a cinema. This all changes dramatically with the arrival of Grayson. Despite her trauma, she falls very quickly for him with the sole reason of Grayson being very handsome. The failed attempts to grow closer are frustrating. Lorelei and her friend Joanie are well characterised, but some of the other characters are very flat. #withthiskiss #carriehopefletcher #netgalley

This was a really fun and enjoyable read with a unique premise that had me drawn in from the very beginning. Loved it and would highly recommend.

Lorelai from the outside looks like an ordinary young woman, she loves reading and works at the cinema with her best friend and flatmate Jeanie. But she carries a secret, something she has kept hidden for years.

Whenever Lorelai kisses someone on the lips she sees how they will die, but she is unsure if what she is seeing is meant to be or if her kiss is the thing that decides their destiny.

Then along comes Grayson who is funny and clever. Lorelai is attracted to him and for the first time in years she wants to be kissed by him. But she can't face seeing his death, and if they do kiss can she intervene and change what she sees?

I was intrigued by this story and couldn't wait to get started. It was great to read something different and a break from the norm.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review

This was my first time reading a book from the author but I am delighted to say I thoroughly enjoyed the story and I look forward to reading more books from the writer in the future!

This was not the romantic fiction book I expected as it tackled hard hitting themes such as mental health with a very clear message not to suffer in silence. It did take mea while to get in to but I think that was more due to the book not being the story I expected.

The authors love of theatre shines through in this book, but it's not quite enough for me to give this book more than 4/5 stars. The characters are ok, likeable even, though none jump out at me. The ability to see how someone dies from kissing them, was just a little unbelievable for me.

Whenever she shares a kiss with someone, Lorelai sees how they are going to die, so she stops kissing altogether. But when she meets Grayson, her resolve starts to crumble.

I did enjoy With This Kiss. It’s an interesting premise for a story, being able to see into people’s futures, and Carrie Hope Fletcher carries it off reasonably well. Lorelai is a likeable character and so it is easy to get behind her as you read.

Good, entertaining read.

#WithThisKiss by Carrie Hope Fletcher is a magical romance. Lorelai is cursed to know how someone will die when she kisses them on the lips...how will she ever find her true love if she's afraid to kiss? Is Grayson the man of her dreams?

Thank you to @hqstories for a copy of this latest title from Carrie Hope Fletcher. This is my first novel by this author and I quite enjoyed it. It was a great mix of fun, humour, emotional moments and some glimpses of darkness. The characters are vivid and lovable, especially that of Lorelei’s best friend Joanie with each of their personalities shining bright. You can certainly feel the author’s love of musical theatre in there too! I enjoyed this book as a bit of escapism, with a big sprinkling of magic on top!

Wow, I love the quirkiness of Carrie Hope Fletcher’s novels.
Lorelai is an ordinary girl who loves reading, works in a cinema and lives with her best friend. She’s hiding a unique and devastating ability when she kisses someone she foresees how they will die, hence why she hasn’t kissed anyone since she was 18, until she meets Grayson and her resolve starts to thaw.
Magic and mayhem ensue in London to New York, family secrets are shared and Lorelai feels she is no longer alone and she can see a future she hadn’t thought possible all thanks to her new found confidence. A beautifully magical and heart warming perception of life.
