A cosy, sun filled story perfect for beach reads or summer days. Sarah is the queen of vacation novels. Highly recommend
When Joanna learns of her ex-husband’s death, she feels, little, but worries more for the young girl injured in the same crash. When she discovers that Ashley is pregnant, Joanna decides to hide them both in her remote beach house, to escape the press. Gradually a relationship builds between the two women, until an old romance threatens to intervene.
Sarah Morgan’s books are always a delight to read, and Beach House Summer is no exception. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would recommend to all as a relaxing holiday read.
Absolutely loved this book. Sarah Morgan never disappoints. Such an amazing story about love and friendship. I couldn't put it down. A perfect holiday read.
This is a good contemporary. The characters are good and well developed. I was instantly engrossed in their lives. I loved the small town feel and community feel. I loved this story
Amazing, this book like all other Sarah Morgan books, has a lot of different layers. Her characters are likeable, the storyline is gripping and there is an element of drama.
This book was a quick and easy read that I truly enjoyed from start to finish.
Beach house summer delves into family dynamics, love, and the impact of long-buried secrets. Sarah skillfully weaves together the lives of women facing challenges and rediscovering the strength within their relationships.
Sarah Morgan is known for her engaging storytelling, relatable characters, and the exploration of themes centred around love, family, and personal growth. I really enjoyed it x
Joanne Whitman is shocked to hear her celebrity ex-husband has been killed in a car accident but when she discovers there was a young pregnant girl in the car with him, she decides to act.
She convinces the young girl, Ashley to come with her back to her home town in California to hide from the local press.
Joanne hasn't been back to her hometown for 20 years but soon meets up with her old best friend, Mel and her brother Nate who just happens to be Joanne's childhood sweetheart.
Between Mel, Nate and Ashley - Joanne starts to learn to let go of the past and move forward in her life whilst helping her friends.
A little hard to get into to start with as Joanne's character was quite repetitive but it soon settles to be a nice easy read.

You simply can't go wrong with a Sarah Morgan book and this one was no exception. A really good storyline, which I felt was a little different and gave me an insight into a world I have no experience of. Although with all Sarah Morgan books, you have an idea of where the story is going, I am still never disappointed in the outcome. I loved the community of Silver Point and would move there in a heartbeat if it existed in real life! If you would like to escape for a while and enter that wonderful Sarah Morgan world, I would fully recommend this book.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review, which is what I have given.
I found this book difficult to get into if I'm honest , in fact it has taken me several weeks to finally finish. The storyline was actually pretty decent but it just wasn't gripping enough to keep my interest for more than a few chapters at a time.
On a positive note I did like that the story was told from various points of view & I really like the community of Silver Point
All the things we love from Sarah Morgan. Joanna unexpectedly finds herself helping her ex husbands scared pregnant lover. Do they form an unlikely bond?
Perfect for a holiday read.
Nicely paced, summery - come on and catch up weather - a decent storyline and wonderful characters, \sarah Morgan has done it again!

The story follows Joanna Whitman as she suggests that they lie low at her beach house in California and this starts a summer of new beginnings and an unlikely friendship between them. Through heartbreak, old flames and secrets spilling out, we follow Joanna and Ashley as they figure out their plans for the future. Sarah Morgan weaves a powerful story full of mystery and intrigue and shows the reader what it means to stand together in tough times. ‘Beach House Summer’ is a story that will stay with you long after you’ve read it and will remind us all about the power of friendship.
A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.
Sarah Morgan is one of my go-to authors for a heartwarming, easy and feel-good read and this doesn't disappoint! Joanna and Ashley's lives suddenly become entwined in an unconventional and heartbreaking time but I love how they come together to help each other repair and move on. Escaping back to her remote beach side house from her childhood Joanna has to reevaluate her life at 40 and Ashley must work out what to do with her life now she's in the spotlight. Old ghosts of her childhood love remain and she needs to rebuild bridges in the close knit community but friendships and finding yourself are the central theme of the book. I loved the story and would love to see a follow up in the future!
Set in California, this was a real rollercoaster of a ride, in an idyllic setting. I loved the way in which the characters interacted with one another, and the way in which Ashley at 18 was more confident in her life than either Joanna or Mel.
They all had issues that needed some sort of resolution, but with friendship and support they got there.
This was a story of female friendship and empowerment, and was a great beach read.
This was a nice easy summer read. Good storyline and great characters. Another sunshine hit from Sarah Morgan.
Recommended for an easy, feel good read.
Thank you Netgalley.
I enjoyed every page of this book. I usually read thrillers but Sarah Morgan is my guilty pleasure. She never disappoints. I loved the story and can't wait for more of Sarah's writing.
Another top 2022 read for me. I am a huge Sarah Morgan fan and this was another great read. Joanna has had a high profile marriage and dealt with the fall out for a long time, but when her husband dies and leaves behind a scared pregnant woman she needs to help her. So when she offers her a chance to escape for the summer its all Ashley needs to get herself sorted. However, when an old love of Joannas appears tensions run high, friendships are tested and will the privacy last.
Sarah Morgan once again has created characters that you want to spend time with, places you want to visit and food you want to sample. Just the way she writes gets me lost in the pages and seeing everything clear as day.
This was the usual Sarah Morgan summer reading - perfect for warm sunny days!
Set in an idyllic location we meet Joanna ex wife of a famous but now dead chef.
All of the characters have a secret which are slowly revealed in typical Morgan style.
Loved it!
