I really enjoyed this book. Typical fluff we have come to expect from Sarah Morgan, however each book is beautiful in its own right. Would definitely recommend!

Though it start with a rollercoaster of pain and grief, Beach House Summer ends up being the perfect heartwarming, feel good beach read. It doesn't break any new ground, the writing is good not great and the story is pretty predictable but I loved it none the less. Easy to read and very enjoyable, just what I wanted to dip in and out of on my sun lounger

Oh I loved this!! California is my favourite place in the world, especially the area around Monteray and Carmel, so I fell in live with Silver Point and could see it so vividly!
I adored Ashley, a young but wise character, and Joanna had more hidden reserves than she realised!
I loved the sense of community and friendship, a beautiful heartwarming book, if I were to be hyper critical I would say it ended a little abruptly, but I loved it!

Sarah Morgan has done it again and written another incredible book that is perfect for the summer season! If you've read Sarah Morgan before, you'll know what an amazing author she is for utilising humour, lust, romance, and connections. If you haven't read a Sarah Morgan book before then what are you waiting for?! They are amazing!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
I thought the information provided for this story sounded good, and as it's from a widely-published author I was looking forward to an interesting chicklit holiday read. I expect books of this genre to include misunderstandings and miscommunication but I was surprised that 2 women who were supposed to be teenage best friends could not even bring themselves to make contact 20 years later when one woman's husband had died. I thought the story progressed very slowly, they didn't even get to the beach house of the title until 25% in, and the outcome was predictable although if you like a happy ending this will meet your needs.
It's an ok read but I wouldn't read it again or search out other titles by this author.

Beach House Summer by Sarah Morgan.
I received an advance copy for free, thanks to NetGalley and HQ. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was a great read. A lovely story which I quickly became engrossed in. The book flowed really well, had great characters and a really good storyline, I found it hard to put down.
I can highly recommend this book.

Sarah Morgan has become one of my favourite authors, she never disappoints, i love how she releases a summer and winter/Christmas themed book each year. She always manages to perfectly blend escapism, drama, friendship, romance and stunning locations.
Beach House Summer is the perfect summer read. Particularly now during a little heat wave! The location was as spectacular as always, a small Californian beachside town - Silver Point - which i hope will be revisited in future books. The characters are wonderful and draw you into the pages and make you feel part of the small town community.
I cannot recommend this delightful book enough, if you want a fab heart warming book by a brilliant author to read over the summer this is the book to pick up.
With many thanks to NetGalley and HQ for the opportunity to read this ARC, in return for an honest and unbiased review.

Loved this book! So heartwarming and loved the relationship between Joanna and Ashley proof that family doesn't have to be blood related. Highly recommend!

Sarah Morgan's summer novel this year follows the ex-wife of a TV chef in the immediate aftermath of his death in a car crash. Stay with me, I know that sounds like it might be miserable, but don't worry. To return to the plot: Joanna's marriage to Cliff was disfunctional to say the least and carried out in the glare of the media spotlight. So when she finds out that there was a young woman in the car when it crashed and that the woman is pregnant, Joanna knows she has to help her. The two women head to Joanna's house in the town that she grew up in to hide from the paparazzi. Joanna hasn't been there since she ran away with Cliff in the aftermath of a breakup with her high school boyfriend and she's soon going to have to face the past and the community she left behind. Ashley needs space to plan her and the baby's future - but there are still a few secrets to come out... This is a delightful sun lounger read, if you can just get past the death-y bit at the start, which I did - but that's why it was on the list for a couple of weeks! It's basically a small town, second chance romance with relatively low peril.

A super light, quick, summer read!
I actually chose to read this on holiday, which was a great decision. The setting of the book was perfect to enjoy whilst sat out in the sunshine by the pool.
It was one of those heart-warming reads where you wish you could be in the fictional circle of friends, and of course everything was tied up very nicely and happily by the end. I always really enjoy Sarah Morgan's Christmas stories, so it was nice to experience the same type of story in a different season!
Will this book stand out to me in the future - probably not. But it provided some nice escapism without too much mental energy needed.

This was yet another brilliant book by Sarah Morgan!!
Lives changed in a split second, and confusion over what the outcome of those lives will be. Not exactly how you would expect at first, but they all, the characters, think, they know, what each other will be thinking!!!!!
Joanna, loses her husband to a car crash, but who is the girl that's with him??!!
The whole story stems from this tragedy, (if that's what it is, a tragedy!!)
Absolutely super story, as usual from Sarah Morgan!! She never disappoints!!
Fabulous!!

I’ve never found a book by Sarah Morgan I didn’t thoroughly enjoy and her latest novel the beach house is no exception
Joanna Whitman Was married to superstar tv chef Cliff Whitman and although they’ve been divorced a year she is still very much a presence in his life. Running the business side of things behind the chef she is still hounded by the press.
Cliff Is a notorious womanizer and one affair to many ended his marriage to Joanna.
When Cliff is killed in a road accident in which his pregnant unknown passenger survives- Joanna finds herself a prisoner in her own home with paparazzi outside.
So she decides to disappear and head back to the costal village she left 20 years ago.
The friends she left behind, the evil stepmother and most importantly of all boyfriend Nate
On the way she stops at the hospital to see who the woman in Cliffs car was and is shocked to discover that Cliff had a grown up daughter he never acknowledged.
Knowing Ashley will face press intrusion like she does, Joanna offers Ashley the chance to go with her and hide out at the beach house she owns called otters point.
Will Joanna learn to trust again ? will her and Ashley form a new friendship and what about the people she left behind ?
Brilliant story - absolutely loved it
Highly recommend

Sarah Morgan for me is the Queen of Christmas and summer books. She seems to have this fabulous ability to capture either season beautifully and sprinkle magic all over it! I'm a huge fan and was excited to read this...needless to say I wasn't disappointed!
The story follows Joanna, who after the passing of her ex husband, discovers he has left behind a pregnant woman called Ashley. It charts the relationship between the women and the protectiveness Joanna feels over the woman she should hate. They move into Joannas beach house for the summer to give them some time away from prying eyes, and it's there that secrets and lies come out and it all gets a bit juicy! Highly recommended. Thanks to Sarah Morgan, HQ and Netgalley for the ARC.

What an absolutely amazing book full to the brim
with loveable characters and a great storyline.
A story of love lost and refound, of friendship lost and reborn and of tragedy turning to live and reuniting of friends and family.
Fabulous book and an enormously enjoyable read. Highly recommended!
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book has a few twists and romance in it.
Joanna is divorced when she discovers her ex husband is dead he had a woman in the car with him who survived. Joanna ends up being hounded by the press so she escapes to her family home and you see how the people in her home town cope with her and friendships that never went away.
The book deals with insecurities and lack of confidence and where there is miscommunication. The book was very enjoyable and it kept you guessing what was going to happen next in the book.

Another super story by Sarah which I am sure will be a best seller. Loved the characters and the flow of the story, just right for a summer holiday read on the beach. Joanna is a very private person but knows she has to open up and live her life. Many changes and bumps along the way make this an enjoyable read.

An enjoyable easy read, about love and friendship. Overall it was a little predictable, especially some of the characters, but there was a bit of a surprise in the story which certainly did add to the overall story.

This was a very easy read! I loved the characters and seeing from the three different POVs, I always love a multiple point of view book. I love that there was a bit of suspense around things but it wasn’t overly drawn out and you found out the truth fairly quickly. An excellent summery read

Beach House Summer by @sarahmorganwrites another NetGalley read. Joanna Whitman was married to a high profile chief and with that Joanna’s life was always in the press even after the divorce and because of this she was living a life of a recluse. This book is about Joanna facing her past, as well as her past going back before her marriage so that she can begin living her future. I loved every page of this book, it’s the perfect summer read. Normally I tend to write some notes as I go through a book, as and when they come to me but with this book I just got lost in the enjoyment and the simplicity of story. There was something about this book that is hard to explain because it felt that books aren’t written like this anymore or I haven’t read anything like this in a while and in that I mean, it was just simply in its enjoyment, it wasn’t trying to be something it wasn’t and because of that it made the characters the centre of attention, moulded them into what felt like real people and it made everything about this book pop and just work. The setting was idyllic, the author is great at describing the setting and therefore building a great picture up in the readers mind. Yes it’s predictable however this doesn’t take away from the story at all and as a reader while reading it you don’t give it’s predictability a seconds thought because you will literally get lost in the characters and the community in which it’s set. I hope that there is more from this little community and it’s characters because I think not only did Joanna have a story to tell but other characters have stories to tell. That’s another great thing about this book and it’s characters in that they felt like they had a depth to them, they weren’t just other less important characters written to support Joanna. Joanna also felt real and it was good to have a good strong female character, a female lead and although strong she also had her weaknesses, her self doubts and her lack of self confidence yet she was kind, loveable, vulnerable, in parts broken, trusting and had the biggest heart. This is without a doubt the perfect summer/beach read. Will be recommending to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have loved Sarah Morgan books for many years and this story took us on a wonderful journey as life changes for Joanna for a final time as she welcomes Ashley into her life.
A story rich in love and loyalty as we get to know Joanna as an angst teenager, who makes a snap decision that influences the next 2 decades of her life.
As she decides to return home to Silver Point she needs to decide if this is a flying visit or something more permanent. A wonderful story, with lovely characters and friendships that help reconnect Joanna to her past and help to carve a new path for both herself and Ashley.
A story and characters that I've absolutely loved and am disappointed to have reached the end of.
