Great summer read. This novel offers a blend of humor, romance, and heartfelt emotion. While the plot is predictable at times, it's the characters and their development that truly shine. The setting of a picturesque English countryside wedding provides the perfect backdrop for a story filled with laughter, tears, and happily ever after.
Overall, Meet Me at the Wedding is a light and enjoyable read that will leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. It’s perfect for those looking for a feel-good escape.
I absolutely loved this book even though I have not read the other books in the series. Can't wait to now read book one and read the full series. A perfect Summer read.
A lovely addition to Toff’s wel rounded romance series!
This book was very easy to read and was easy to pick up where you left off last time. Perfect to read on the beach or outside on a sunny day.
A great book from Georgia and a lovely end to the series, I really enjoyed the plot and the characters and I found myself hooked. Thank you netgalley for the review copy!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this e-arc.
This was a very standard romance that followed the usual steps in which one does. I wasn’t completely hooked by the romance and it fell slightly flat for me
This was a stunning finale to a gorgeous series, that I have really enjoyed reading. I had predicted Henry would become a love interest eventually, given the circumstances and I'm really glad he did. Lily and Henry's story was so raw and beautiful, given the stories that tied them together and I'm so glad everybody got their happy endings after living a lifetime with trauma over their heads. I especially loved the 10 years later time jump, it tied everything so perfectly and made sure all of our beloved characters got exactly what was meant for them.
Thank you Netgalley and Mills and Boon for this ARC of Meet me at the wedding. Georgia Toffolo books are great
I just binged this whole series in a week. So fun, warm,.funny, romantic and sexy! Toff has surprised me on many occasions with these fab books! Well done!
This enemies-to-lovers rom-com is the final book in a 4 part series and tells the story of Lily, a talented chef with a successful restaurant at the heart of a small but picturesque seaside community in Devon, and her group of childhood friends who were torn apart by a tragic car accident 10 years ago.
Lily has a close connection to the nearby Hawkesbury estate and vineyard, having been taken under the wing of the owner following the accident. However, following the owner's death, his son has returned, determined to sell the estate which belonged to his estranged father. The estate not only plays a large part in local lives, but is also the venue for the upcoming wedding of one of Lily's best friends, adding even more pressure to Lily's hectic schedule..
The Henry who returns is not the boy she knew all those years ago, and they share a deep attraction and admiration.,which grows when they are forced to work together to salvage the wedding. They both know they cannot be together because they want such different things from life, but this all changes following a stormy night which draws them together to open up to each other.
Lovely story! Lily lives in Hawkes Cove, she loves it there, it’s been her home since childhood. She runs a successful restaurant and is well loved within the close knit community. Key to the community is Hawksmore - the large estate and vineyard within the community. Brent took Lily under his wing when a life changing accident in Lily’s youth that affected Lily’s closest friends happened, and in which his son Henry was involved. But Brent Halas passed away, Henry has returned and he hates everything that vineyard stands for, wants it sold and cancels all events scheduled to take place - including one of Lily’s best friends, Victoria. This breaks Lily’s heart …..but maybe all is not lost….
Meet Me At The Wedding is an enthralling romantic drama by Georgia Toffolo that captivates readers right from the very first page. It follows the lives of Lily and Henry Hawkesbury who have a turbulent past, yet now must come together to arrange Lily's best friend's wedding at the Hawkesbury estate. The conflict between the two of them soon leads to an undeniable attraction that could potentially lead to true love.
Throughout the novel, Georgia does a superb job of delving deep into the minds of the characters. The slow-burn romantic tension and well-developed characters keep readers guessing about where the relationship will end up. Georgia does an admirable job of creating a poignant story about finding your way in the world and navigating unexpected love.
In Meet Me At The Wedding, readers will be completely absorbed by the complex and meaningful relationship between Lily and Henry as they both grapple with the fallout of the past while opening their hearts to a bright and hopeful future. This delightful novel will keep readers turning the pages late into the night!
A quick and easy uplifting read. I really enjoyed all of this series from Toff and was very fond of all the characters. Glad everyone got their own happy ending
Perfect continuation in a fun series. This book was so easy to read, and one you could easily binge in one sitting!
I devoured this story, absolutely loved the escapism, the romance. Did I know how it would end, yes, did I care no, I loved the journey we took to get there.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the final book in the 4 part series. This is Lily’s story. She lives in Hawkes cove and runs her own business- a restaurant. She was looking forward to planning her friend’ Victoria’s wedding on the Hawkesbury estate but the owner died unexpectedly. Henry, the son and heir arrived and cancels everything as he intends to sell up. Lily and Henry had a one night stand 10 years ago but haven’t spoken since then.
Will Lily be able to persuade Henry to allow Victoria to have her wedding on the estate? And will they be able to work through what has happened in the past and move on with their future?
This is a gorgeous read from beginning to end. This book has stolen my heart and been completely unputdownable.
A good romance book. A fun and cute read. The characters did slightly annoy me but that could just be that I wasn’t really in the mood to read a cutesy romance. I did feel like it slow going and it just wasn’t as good as others in the series. That being said, I do believe you could read this as a stand-alone. The plot was enough that I kept turning pages and the ending is a good wrap up to the series.
Thank you to Mills & Boon for this advance copy.
I absolutely loved the previous three books in this series and this has definitely not disappointed!
Returning to Hawke’s Cove, meet Lily who runs a successful restaurant and is busy trying to prepare one of her best friends wedding, once she has persuaded Henry Hawkesbury, whom she hasn’t spoken to since she was 18, to host it on his late fathers estate.
Lily and Henry have to rely on each other to be able to achieve their goals, talking about and overcoming their past and embracing what the future may hold.
Meeting up with Malie, Victoria and Zoe again is a great end to the series which has had me gripped from book 1.
this is the second book i have read by this author and it is a good read all way through a group of friends telling their own individual story with a happy ending in each now looking foreward to reading next one
Love love love all of Georgia Toffolo's pervious books and this one was just as good. Read it easily and connected with the characters. Such a lovely read
