I LOVE this book. I will be recommending it as self care for anyone who needs a bit of a lift and to find some hope in the world.

As a dog lover and a dog keeper for many years, I knew that they had an ability to be aware of situations and to be able to rescue when needed.
Such a brilliant selection of incidences where animals rescued other animals.
I particularly loved the midwifery part and felt quite emotional when listening to it.

Animal lovers this is right up your alley! What a touching book about animals being compassionate towards humans and other animals. Well written and narrated, it is a quick listen and will brighten your day.

When Animals Rescue is another audiobook about animal behavior by Belinda Recio. I recently reviewed Inside Animal Hearts and Minds. This audiobook contains a wonderful collection of stories from the animal world, where different animals rescue humans or other species. Not just dogs help, as someone might think. Also other animals are capable of such behavior, like bears, whales, and dolphins. I would recommend this audiobook to all who like animals.

Another good narration by Hayden Panettiere, star of Hero series.

An amazing collection of stories showing the amazing capacity animals have to show kindness.
I was really surprised at the range of animals in these stories, from mice to dolphins to seals and many in between. These tales really are a wonderful example of how capable animals are of compassion and most importantly how Intelligent animals truly are.
I enjoyed the study data on rats and mice given at the end.
I was really surprised with some of the observations, I think the hippo story was the biggest shock for me.
A great book for anyone with an interest in animals.

When Animals Rescue is a great compilation of stories in which animals help other animals or humans. Hearing about dogs, pigs, hippos, monkeys, elephants and many other animals showing empathy through their actions was really heartwarming. I would recommend this audiobook to students or anyone wanting to listen to sweet animal stories and learn a little more about animal emotions.

It was a fabulous listen. It Opened my eyes completely. The narration has good pace and flow,and the narrators voices seemed right for the characters they were portraying. I listened to this as an audio book and felt the narrators really helped bring the story to life. The narrator narrated the book beautifully, and I loved the depictions of the different characters.

This was an OK listen but to be honest I had already heard or seen most of the stories so glad I hadn't paid for this

I did enjoy this audiobook for the most part, but I wasn’t entirely comfortable with the last chapter. It was a chapter about scared rodents being made to suffer at the hands of humans. I do appreciate the lessons taken away from the studies mentioned, but having listened to an audiobook about situations where animals have saved humans etc, I do not want to end it by listening about instances of what is essentially animal abuse and the survival instincts of those poor animals. It has tainted my review of an audiobook that I was enjoying. I don’t think it is smart to end such a book on a chapter surrounding testing/experimenting on animals.

These stories were beautiful. How can you not be moved by animals saving humans and other animals sometimes out of their species.

I played this while we were in the car going on a road trip and my 5 year old also loved it, often reiterating what he had just heard.

When Animals Rescue

Book has an authors note. This was a very interesting listen about how animals are interacting with humans. I enjoyed listening to these experiences it is a complex interest. Wow is what I can say seeing animals been protecting humans. I am amazed at some of these animals and how they have saved people's lives its amazing. If you are interested in learning about animals intreactons with humans I highly recommend that you listen to this audiobook.

An interesting, enjoyable book. Mankind has always tended to underestimate the intelligence of animals and this book tries to correct our misconception. There are many examples of animals showing empathy for humans and their fellow creatures. I thought the story of a monkey helping a fellow monkey give birth particularly surprising.

When Animals Rescue was enjoyable to listen to and full of many different stories of animals appearing to show empathy through protecting humans and communicating with them. I feel like this book gave me a greater appreciation for the animal kingdom and coming away I felt a sense of wonder.
