What I enjoy most about well-written non-fiction books for children is when they are informative and educational alongside embodying a sense of fun and adventure that encourages children to learn, which is exactly what I encountered in Sam Sedgman's 'Epic Adventures'.
This wonderfully engaging book draws young readers into a learning landscape full of interesting facts about trains, railways, engineering, cultural customs, and a great deal more besides. Do you want to learn about the Channel Tunnel? Why the Trans-Siberian Express was originally constructed? Or perhaps how to eat noodles in a socially acceptable manner? Then this is the book for you!
If you are looking for a way to educate without patronising young people and to develop a love of learning about the world, I would highly recommend the purchase of this book.
