What a delightful, contemporary romance this proved to be.
With great characters, romance, art and even a mystery!
Set in the Ferry Lane Market community where
There's sea, sun, storms and people who care.

The story centres around Glenna as she gets to understand herself
And how she responds to others, including her mum's wealth.
There's drama in her family situation and in other families, too,
And a famous reclusive artist to get to know and paintings to do

Glanna Pascoe has returned to her home port and art
After rethinking her life, getting sober and breaking her own heart.
She's known as 'the Rainbow Painter' and her parents live nearby
But her Mum's attitude, her patience it really does try!

It explores feelings, relationships and dreams
Feelings of joy or hopelessness when nothing's as it seems.
Learning to know about yourself and how you feel, too,
Can help you move on to something that's really right for you.

A moving story with characters who are going through so much more
With angst, troubles and hopes all there for her to explore.
An inspirational story, with such a brilliant end
With heartwarming romance and a very special friend.

For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
A lovely read and this is my honest review.

Oh what a gift – to be given the opportunity to read the latest Ferry Lane Market book. I am very much looking forward to reconnecting with some former characters, and to meeting some new ones.
Gianna Pascoe comes across as a woman who knows what she wants, and at the age of 39, she is not afraid to stand up to her Mother, when it comes to arranging her 40th birthday party. I liked that she stood up for herself, without resorting to being rude or mean. I really did like Gianna, but I did feel for her, regarding the mental health issues she was having. Basically she seemed a kind soul to me, evidenced by the way that she would sometimes buy the works of struggling artists, showing in her gallery, in order to boost their confidence. Gianna may have been spoiled by her parents in the past, but she was hellbent on paying her own way now, partly funded by the gallery and partly by her paintings as the mysterious Rainbow Painter. Herself, Gianna seems quite captivated by the renowned artist Isaac Benson, but is most definitely not ’over’ her ex, Oliver. I did however feel for Gianna, when it transpires that Oliver has had a child with another woman.

A character not lacking in confidence however, is Gianna’s Father, but Gianna is fairly adamant that she isn’t going to allow him to volunteer to be a model for her life drawing class! I did like the light heartedness that this episode brought, not only to the book, but also to the reader’s perception of Fred Gribble and his overall relationship with Gianna.

Will Gianna’s new life drawing classes help her get out of the rut into which she seems to have fallen? Prepare to be entertained!

You will have to read on yourself to find out, with an abundance of emotions along the way.

I have really enjoyed the Ferry lane market series. I read in one sitting as I got immersed into ferry lane and the story as it developed, a shame this may be the last in the series.

Thank you for giving me the chance to review

4.5 stars.

I have loved this series so much and I am so sad at the possibility that this is the last in this series.

I have fallen in love with these characters and this world. I've said before that all these characters almost feel real to me.

Nicola May's writing is just superb and just like the other two in this series I ended up devouring it in one sitting. I loved it so much!

I need more books set in Ferry Lane Market!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoy the Ferry Lane Market series and this is the third book, it can be read as a stand-alone but I think you’ll get more enjoyment out of it when you have read the previous books. These have a great cast of characters and a great plot, friendships, community, romance and it’s set in Cornwall too, what more can you want. This is a great feel good read and I definitely recommend it as well as the whole series.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy in return for an honest opinion

Nicola May’s Rainbows End in Ferry Lane Market is an enchanting and uplifting romantic treat that gladdens the heart and touches the soul.

Glanna Pascoe runs the Falmouth Gallery in Ferry Lane Market in Cornwall. Known as the ‘Rainbow Painter’, thirty-nine year old Glanna has had her fair share of heartache and disappointments lately. Resigned to being single and childless, Glanna thinks that her art is all she’s got in the world, but she should by know to always expect the unexpected at Ferry Lane Market and that cupid can strike when you least expect him to and in the most surprising and unexpected of ways…

When Glanna unexpectedly crosses paths with famous local artist Isaac Benson, sparks immediately begin to fly between the two of them. The more Glanna gets to know Isaac, the more her barriers begin to come down and she starts to learn more about herself, her strengths and her abilities. Meeting Isaac has provided Glanna with the second chance she had been hoping for, but is a future between the two of them at all possible when there are so many obstacles standing in their way?

Throwing herself into a life-drawing event at her gallery certainly gets tongues wagging and Glanna has her hands full as she finds herself also having to contend with somebody stealing from her and the return of her ex-partner, Tom. With so much on her plate, will Glanna ever find the happiness she had long given up on? At Ferry Lane Market, anything is possible…

Nicola May’s Ferry Lane Market books are absolutely magical. Full of hope, warmth and humour, these heartwarming tales never fail to hit the spot and that is certainly the case with the latest title in the series, Rainbows End in Ferry Lane Market. A spellbinding, romantic and feel-good tale about second chances, unexpected blessings and healing from old wounds set in beautiful Cornwall, Rainbows End in Ferry Lane Market is full of characters readers will love whose trials and tribulations are sure to keep them avidly turning the pages.

A gorgeous romantic read that is hard to resist, top-notch escapism does not get any better than Nicola May’s Rainbows End in Ferry Lane Market.

I loved this book, the third in the Ferry Lane Market series. After reading the Cockleberry Bay series and loving those, I knew the Market series would be just as good!

Some fabulous characters whose stories unfold over the three books , all intertwined and the place settings described so vividly, you're ready to pack up all of your belongings and move straight there!

You'll love this series of books and indeed any of Nicola May's other publications. I for one shall be looking out for the next one.

A lovely romance which would be lovely to take on holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed this easy read book featuring Glanna Pascoe who is an artist and after a turbulent past opens a gallery in Ferry Lane Market in Cornwall.

Giana runs a local gallery and is trying to put her past behind her and look to the future, mourning the future she was looking forward to. She deals with a past boyfriend, trouble at the gallery and a local artist. I loved the scenes where she met him.
I also loved the way that she paints rainbows as a trademark of her artwork.
I loved being back at Ferry Lane Market and getting to know new characters.

We are back with the Ferry Lane market characters and very enjoyable it is too. The focus of this third in the series is an art gallery owner, Glanna, who has a complicated past and family dynamic. She has never really come to terms with past relationships and you definitely get the feeling that there is unfinished business with Oliver. As she nears her fortieth birthday, she is reminded of decisions she made in the past concerning motherhood and certainly, her relationship with her parents is complicated to say the least.

This is a really enjoyable read, full of the sights and sounds of the coastline and the sea is never far away. There are some darker themes lurking below the surface, around addiction and depression, but overall the tone is upbeat and affectionate. Certainly, the reclusive Isaac Benson adds another dimension to the story. The art classes which Glanna organises are a great source of humour and one or two of the characters make you chuckle. This is a delightful series, with I hope, more to come.

In short: Past secrets and new beginnings

This is the 3rd book in the series. I read the first book and have the second to read on a tbr pile!

This is a gentle romcom read. I will admit that I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first book though.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my review.

SYNOPSIS?BOOK BLURB

Rainbows End in Ferry Lane Market

Book Three in bestselling sensation Nicola May’s gorgeous new series – catch up with Book One, WELCOME TO FERRY LANE MARKET, and Book Two, STARRY SKIES IN FERRY LANE MARKET, now!

39-year-old Glanna Pascoe – also known as ‘the Rainbow Painter’ – runs the Hartmouth Gallery in Ferry Lane Market in Cornwall. She is just getting her head and broken heart around being single, childless, and sober when Cupid flies in, shooting arrows all over the place.

Meeting the mysterious and fascinating Isaac Benson, famous local artist, and recluse, allows Glanna’s disillusioned heart and attitude to soften, and she begins to learn more about herself than she ever thought possible. Confused by her growing feelings for Isaac, Glanna throws herself into organising a life-drawing class at her gallery, using both male and female nudes – and setting local tongues wagging.

A theft from her gallery and the return of ex-love Oliver Trueman cause Glanna to wonder if a pot of gold will be appearing at the end of her rainbow. And will it bring her the happiness, she has sought for so long?

REVIEW ~ NIKI PRESTON ~ 5 STARS

A true piece of escapism. A book to indulge yourself with, full of fabulous characters with lives that just make you want to up sticks and move. I adored Glanna, she has flaws and more flaws yet she is trying incredibly hard to put things right and just be a great business woman who is no longer a huge drinker, racing about having sex with practically everyone she sees. I loved her openness and honesty. A beautiful character who is one of those people you’d like to be friends with.

This book, the second I have read by Nicola May does not disappoint, it just captivates you in a lovely warm hug kind of way. There are plenty of laughs along the way. The humour is brilliant and I found myself laughing out loud at times. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of Glanna’s developing relationships, especially Isaac. A very closed off and private man who she manages to help in more ways than he could ever have imagined.

All in all a wonderfully enjoyable read that takes you on a wonderous journey through art galleries, stolen pictures, love, unrequited love, strong friendships and so much more. A definite cosy read that you can just get lost in. I loved it immensely.

This is book 3 in the series. The characters from the last two books reappear as minor characters but the main focus in this book is on Glanna, 39 year old artist & gallery owner.

Glanna has led a completely different life from me, so at first I felt less connected to her, but that definitely changed. I loved the relationship she had with her father.

This book is really a book about friendship, family, hope and living your best life, which is different for everyone. We don't all want the same from life and that is fine.

This was another heartwarming story that had me smiling, snorting with laughter and I got tears in my eyes.

Rainbows End in Ferry Lane Market by Nicola May
MY REVIEW
This is Book 3 in the Ferry Lane Market series, but works perfectly well as a standalone.
Glanna Pascoe is approaching her 40th birthday. She lives in Flat 4, Ferry Lane, Hartmouth with her lovely dog Banksy. She runs an art gallery and is an artist herself, known as ‘the Rainbow Painter’ through her love of painting rainbows.
We soon meet the important people in her life, including her mum Penelope (Penny) and her dad Fred Gribble, who is one of my favourite characters. We also meet her therapist Myles Armstrong and learn Glanna has been in rehab, and is trying to stay sober.
Glanna’s flaws are made obvious early on. She hasn’t had an easy life, with drink and drugs and a broken relationship with ex-boyfriend Oliver Trueman, who she left because he wanted children and she didn’t. He appears back on the scene, but there’s also the enigmatic and attractive famous artist Isaac Benson (55), who lives nearby with his gorgeous dog Beethoven. Like Glanna, I could definitely see the appeal of both of them! (Oliver being compared to Idris Elba helped, ha ha!)
I enjoyed the art themes and found it all very interesting, plus the life drawing classes add an extra dimension to the book with new characters to discover and lots of opportunity for humour.
Talking of art, the book cover is beautiful and I know Nicola May’s father draws them for her and he really does a fabulous job!
I love the community aspect of these kinds of books and this one is really believable. I like seeing familiar characters pop up in the area and places like coffee shops and cafes, florists, fruit and veg shops, as well as Ferry Lane market itself.
My only tiny criticism of this book is that there was a bit too much sex. But that’s just my individual preference, so don’t let it put you off.
I really enjoyed the book. It’s well-written, and there is a great variety of wonderful characters to get to know. I also liked that although there is romance at the core of the book, there’s so much more. Glanna has to overcome her demons and sort herself out, before she can find happiness, which is a great positive message.
I had a big smile on my face reading the last couple of chapters, as the things I wanted to happen did. It’s a lovely, warm-hearted book that I am sure you will love.
9 out of 10

RAINBOWS END IN FERRY LANE MARKET by NICOLA MAY.

It was a joy to take another trip to Hartmouth, and back to the warmth and charming community of Ferry Lane Market.

This is book three in the Ferry Lane Market series. It can be read as a stand alone story, but is best enjoyed when read in publication order.

Glanna is known locally as
‘The Rainbow Painter’. She runs the town’s art gallery and at 39 she finds herself, childless, single and sober.
Things could be about to change for Glanna as she becomes acquainted with local recluse and famous artist Isaac Benson.
As Glanna gets to know Isaac, her feelings are thrown into chaos by the arrival of Oliver, Glanna’s ex boyfriend, who she had believed was the love of her life.
Which way will Glanna turn?

I’ve loved the Ferry Lane Market series. Each book has been special, but I think Nicola May definitely saved the best till last with Rainbows End.

It was good to catch up with existing characters and a delight to meet new ones.

Rainbows End, is a warm hearted and entertaining read. It has some tough emotional threads, but is overwhelmingly a feel good story with some real laugh out loud moments.

I’m sad to leave Ferry Lane Market, but I hope one day Nicola May will take us back for more.

A fitting end to a wonderfully enjoyable series of books.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Out now on all platforms.

Another hit from Author Nicola May.
We follow Glanna through her life’s journey after she comes back home and is trying to change her life for the better. We go through her ups and downs in her life while she’s has to deal with some people from her past and present. I believe this is the last book in this series and the author did a great job ending the story of Ferry Lane Market. This is one of those book you want to sit and wrap your self in a blanket and get cozy and enjoy the story.
It was a enjoyable story and I enjoyed most of the characters even some of them from the pass and present
This can be read as a standalone for sure however if you have read the previous books I highly recommend reading this to finish out the story.
