I thought the story was a good idea and liked the characters, the setting in the old once glamorous Riviera hotel sounded beautiful. I did get bored of the over use of celebrity names though. Otherwise it’s a good read.

This was a slow burning read which took me a while to get into. I enjoyed the last couple of chapters the most and would have liked more input earlier in the novel from madam Du Lac and more comparison of the hotel in the past compared to present day.
This story takes you to the glitz and glamour of Cannes without having to leave your arm chair.

The Hotel on the Rivera in another bestseller written by Cariol Kirkwood. Main treat can be found in a new opportunity for Adriana Theodosis when she inherits the Hotel du Soleil. The situation gets more complicated when Gabriel du Lac is trying to get back this part of family history. It became obvious that takeover will not be so simple, as both sides of conflict tried to prove something to the another. Some kind of feelings are building between them what makes the book more interesting. You will find two different families represented by very strong personalities. This summer will be remarkable, undercover old secrets hidden by decades. The old secrets lead to present consequences and dilemmas.
But that’s not all! This book is different, when not all dreams come true, that whatever you will do not necessary bring you a success. Life is different for all of us, where some opportunities are for chosen people. You will witness how some people will get lost in the spiral of life, how to win the fate or get lost into ambitious life.
A great holiday read – not only romance, but mystery, passion, secrets and strong characters. You don’t need to read the first book ‘Under the Greek Moon’ to understand what is going on in this book, although, it was also the great summer story which can surprise in many moments.
I highly recommend it to all romance readers.

This was such an interesting and incredible read, there was such depth and intrigue. I found myself completely entranced by the story.

A beautiful story set in an amazing location. Wonderful characters and captivating storyline. Told from a dual timeline. I couldn’t put it down.
Great summer read

This was my first time reading a book from the author but I am delighted to say I thoroughly enjoyed the story and I look forward to reading more books from the writer in the future!

The Hotel on the Riviera By: Carol Kirkwood Narrated by: Kristin Atherton was a really good romance book Carol wrote from her heart and was beautifully written from the beginning till the end especially as I wasn't sure about this book, but I was very surprised.

Thank you to Netgalley, Carol Kirkwood, and Harper Collins for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

The Hotel on the Riviera is another sizzling read by Carol Kirkwood.
In short, Greek heiress Ariana Theodosis inherits the Hotel du Soleil on the French Riviera as part of a mysterious legacy left by her beloved grandmother.
This story is an easy, well written, big dose of escapism read with plenty of glamour and drama…it’s the perfect beach read. I’ve read both of Carol’s books and look forward to reading her next.
Big thanks to Carol Kirkwood, HarperCollins and NetGalley for this eARC which I chose to read in return for my honest review.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
The storyline was fairly predictable in this clean romantic read. The setting was lovely, gorgeous descriptions of the area and foods with simple French phrases scattered throughout to emphasise the atmosphere of luxurious living. I liked the characters and thought they were credible. My only criticism was the frequency of American spellings throughout the narrative - for a British writer and a European setting this jarred, leading me to reduce my rating by one star.

Such a beautiful tale !
I couldn’t put it down and was completely captivating from the first page to the last !!
Thank you netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read this

By the sapphire blue waters of the French Riviera, a decades-long secret is about to be revealed…
Wayward Greek heiress, Ariana Theodosis, inherits the Hotel du Soleil as part of a mysterious legacy. Captivated by its faded glamour, she hopes it offers her the chance to start again.
Hotelier Gabriel du Lac’s family have owned the hotel for decades – and he has no intention of giving it up for a beautiful stranger.
Madame du Lac has watched the rich and famous pass through the doors of the hotel for almost half a century, and she has kept its secrets too.
As the past finally catches up with them all, will this summer reveal a forgotten secret, and change their lives forever…

Carol's books never fail to captivate. Although this book is set on the French Riviera, I was pleased that it touches down briefly in my beloved Greece. Once again, a fascinating yet heart-breaking story of how the other half live - and how they can suffer the same heartbreak as everyone else. An entertaining read.

This is the second book of Kirkwood's that I have read and I really enjoyed it. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did since it's not the usual story that I read.
I think I enjoyed Under A Greek Moon (the first of the two books) more than this one. I think that the previous story felt like a magical escape and I felt more attached to the characters. Kirkwood still creates loveable characters and fantastic scenes in this second book and I would still highly recommend.

This was the best kind of guilty pleasure! I loved the storyline as well as the beautiful suitor sings. A terrific romance!
