This was well formatted and I believe kids will enjoy finding a new fact for each day of the year! I did however expect this to be a bit more technical than what it was so I was kind of underwhelmed in that sense. This leads me to believe that this should be targeted more towards children as the questions and answers aren’t very engaging for adults.

Did you ever have one of those desktop calendars. Word of the day? Star Wars fun fact of the day? Grumpy Cat complaint of the day? Well Eureka! is very much like that, except instead of getting just a quick scientific fact, you get a scientific fact and then a detailed explanation, and in some cases how or why you can apply it in your life. Facts range from ‘why do men have nipples?’ to ‘if the stars are so bright, then why is the sky so dark?’ and so much more. Eureka! is a fun book for anyone who enjoys learning and random obscure trivia. I’d like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me access to an eARC.

A lot of interesting and fun facts for all, especially children and trivia fans!

Great books of short, fun facts that are easy to read in smal chunks. Older children will enjoy finding the fact that is on their birthday, as there is a fact for every day of the year. Lots of fun to dip in and out of.

For readers who love trivia, or anyone who wants to have endless conversation fodder at parties, this book has one fun fact per day. Some are extremely technical, others less so, and the author includes some simple experiments to test some of the concepts at home (including measuring the speed of light!). I personally enjoyed the facts about animals, the ones that involved a lot of math went way over my head. But in general, it’s a good mix of knowledge that will appeal to many different people.

A book that is very much what it says on the tin. Useful as a neat little snack of factoids, this is the book for the Snapple cap readers of the world. Handy to keep in a waiting room or bathroom as a secular alternative to the devotional.

This is a fun Q and A science book with a different entry for each day of the year. Questions range from what would happen if we lost the moon to why do tea kettles whistle. This would be a fun book for schools and homeschools. It would be fun to do a question a day with kids or use it to pass time in the car or waiting for appointments. Recommended.
