This book was a great starting point to understand how NetGalley is designed to work and run. I appreciated the background on reviews and the process, and how to understand what the publisher or author is looking for in their reviewers!

This is ESSENTIAL for anyone starting out with Netgalley, book blogging, or bookish social media. Its also a really good refresher for anyone already on that journey.

This book is an easy to read, comprehensive guide, to everything you should know to be a successful book reviewer. This helps you with setting up your profile, giving great reviews, dealing with reviewers block, setting up your social media accounts and so much more. I really enjoyed the graphics and how easy this was to use and to put into place. I know that this will definitely improve my reviews, even for the reviews that may not be as positive as others. A must read for anyone who wants to brush up their skills and improve their reviews!

This was a great little guide. The book is useful and a great idea! It is written in a very readable format. I think they should always keep this book in the Read Only section of Netgalley so that everyone can always access it (or maybe they do, but I check that section regularly and had not seen it until recently.) Most of the info was basic but I did get some ideas on some things to add to my Netgalley profile from reading the book. And it has some good basic social media info at the end of the book.

A great collection of information on all things book reviews! A lot of this information is widely available online, as I have done internet sleuthing about Netgalley and reviews before but it's nice to see it all collected in one clear and concise space! It's definitely a great tool for beginner book reviewers and I will be using some of the strategies outlined within it!

Thank you for the tool kit. I have a bookstagram, however, with these tips, I may start more than one social media review channel. I really liked the checklists with what needs to be in a review. I will keep it with me in order to provide better feedback on the books I read. I would like a kit like this to be able to bring my approval ratio back up.

This is a must-read for ALL NetGalley users. New reviewers will find it particularly helpful as it lays out the best way to write reviews and how to share your books reviews on social media.

What a great resource! There are so many excellent tips and tricks here! I especially love the Strategizing section that goes beyond just using Netgalley and writing reviews into how to use other systems and get your posts seen!

Helpful guide for experts and newbies…

I’ve been on NetGalley for a few years and I stumble my way around okay but would love to do better. This toolkit was just what I needed. I was looking for help on how to do better and I found it!
Written by an NG team I follow already, the tips included in this quick read were practical, easy to follow and will prove to be helpful. Ranging from hints on how to set up and maintain your profile and put your best reviewing foot forward on various platforms (including Booktok) the suggestions were clear, concise and well laid out. It also included links to more in-depth support.

Recommended for anyone book reviewing online who wants to expand (or improve their footprint) on reviewing platforms, improve their approval rating (and reduce those rejections!) or simply needs help managing their urge to take on more than they can handle (that would be me!).

This was helpful for getting started with NetGalley, although some of the social media tips felt fairly redundant/self-explanatory for readers who already use social media.
