Even though I have been on Netgalley for a long time and have a lot of experience with reviewing, I found that this had a lot of good information for all mediums. I would recommend it to anyone that is new to people that have been doing it awhile. You never know, you might learn something new.
Found this helpful in how to structure reviews specifically on NetGalley as I am better accustomed to social media. Great to see a specific page on accessibility also!

This manuscript is an introduction to becoming a reviewer for NetGalley. I wish I could have read this from day one, I made the mistake of requesting to many titles in the begining and had no clue that there is ratio that publishers use to decide whether or not I receive their books. I also did not realize that publishers request the reviews to be posted onto my social media. I believe that being a book reviewer will be an ongoing educational endevor, and my long term goal is to improve with each posts.
As a new reviewer at NetGalley, I found this PDF extremely helpful. It broke down the best practices, checklists, and resources for you. This is a printable document that has exercises you can go through to optimize your profile. I appreciate that the graphics were very readable, visually interesting, and overall helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone getting started at NetGalley!

I've been a book reviewer for almost ten years, but I feel like I'm constantly learning something new. This was a fantastic review of everything that'll help strengthen your reviewing, as well as general tips for posting on various social media platforms. I highly recommend this read for reviewers of all experience--especially those just starting out or who may need a little refresher!
This toolkit is very helpful! I joined as a librarian to get ahead of new books, but this toolkit may push me over the fence to join BookTok and Bookstagram! The way this toolkit breaks down various social medias and how to set yourself up for success is so helpful. I can't wait to get started with my NetGalley journey!
This is a fantastic resource - offers great advice for writing reviews and suggests so many ways to promote titles further and be a better advocate for amazing books!
Thank you NetGalley!!
This is a really great introductory resource for book reviewers! I love that it includes tips for all the social media outlets, and I’m pleasantly surprised at the level of detail given for using the platforms. There are many useful links to even more resources as well. I would like more tips on writing long-form blogs and reviews. My favorite parts are the “Blog Review Tips” and “Blog Review Formats” pages because I’m always looking for new, fresh ways to bring reviews to readers. It is concise, to the point, and super accessible to read. I also appreciate that it includes things you shouldn’t do, which is helpful for someone like me who wants to make sure they aren’t doing anything wrong. I think that anyone new to NetGalley would benefit from reading this, and even someone who wants a quick refresher or inspiration for new ideas.
