Extremely helpful guide for understanding how to be an effective and supportive book advocate! I saved it to my computer to reference as I continue building my review presence.

This was such a quick and easy read that allowed me to truly delve more deeply into all of the questions that I think everyone finds themselves asking when they first start out on NetGalley. That said, as someone that has already been on this site for a few months, the guide was equally as helpful. In short, I think anyone and everyone should look into this to improve their reviewing skills.

This book was a great intro on the best ways to use NetGalley and how to review ARCs. Quick and easy to read with great graphics. Also appreciated the time reviewing different places to review books and how to make your profile the best possible in order to have a chance at requests being accepted!

I’ve been on NetGalley since 2016, but it wasn’t until about 6 months ago that I decided to review digital arc copies on a regular basis. I also started an Instagram account and became more active in the Bookstagram community.

So when I saw NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit available to read on NetGalley, I excitedly downloaded it right away. I’ve been looking for some tips and tricks to improve my reviewing game, and the toolkit was just what I was looking for.

And I loved it! From the beautiful layout and contrasting font types to the design of the pages, everything was easy to read and the structure made it easy to retain the information.

My favorite sections included: Promote on Social Media, Blog Review Formats and Hashtag Tips. A few new-to-me tips include: finding campaign hashtags from the publisher on the book’s NetGalley page to include in your Instagram post, and how to enable the grid feature in settings on your iPhone to frame shots.

And the toolkit went above and beyond with including links in every section to even more tips included in articles on the blog We Are Bookish. What a wealth of information!

I’d highly encourage all NetGalley users to read this toolkit, even if they have been reviewing for several years. There’s something in it for everyone.

This was a very helpful resource! It gave me a better grasp of how to write the best reviews I can. I currently only review on Goodreads and Facebook groups, but have been considering branching out to Instagram and this gave me great actionable tips to do so. Thanks NetGalley!

I loved the formatting of this Toolkit. It wasn't heavily text-based and it got to the point with each tidbit. It was well-organized and up-to-date on the most recent social trends and apps. It was beautifully designed with clear imagery and coloring. It was a quick read and I can definitely see myself turning back to it to look up advice!
