Informative and useful, especially for folks looking to improve their likelihood of getting approved for more ARCs, and getting more followers on their bookish social media accounts.

This was quick read, and had a lot of helpful hints. I think it’s geared more towards the newer user, it had lots of newbie information.

4 stars.

I enjoyed this book. It gives a lot of great hints and instructions for doing book reviews in multiple ways. I do very simple reviews that I post on Amazon and Goodreads, with a link to Twitter, but even so, the book offered me further tips including tagging, and when not to tag. The book really just covers the basics but there are lots of links to related topics on the Bookish website, the editorial blog for NetGalley members. I found the book useful, as I think many Netgalley members will. I recommend it.

Thanks for putting this together. It is great for surface level getting started. Once I work my way through these tips, I’d love to see more about how to grow.

This toolkit is beyond helpful! I wish I had this when I started on NetGalley but I'm glad to have it now. Hopefully, this will help me improve the quality of future reviews.

This is a very helpful resource. I love the way it doesn't take prior knowledge for granted, so it is perfect for a novice, but there is enough there to satisfy even very experienced book people.

Very useful to anyone starting their journey either here on NetGalley or in any social platforms where you review books. It's very visual with very useful tips. I have been using this platform for more than six months and I think it gave me some interesting suggestions.

It's definitely helpful for anyone starting out on NetGalley and reviewing advance copies of new books. For the more seasoned of us who have been using Netgalley for a while it is perhaps limited in that you've probably found your way round most of what is in the guide and toolkit, but for beginners I would say it's essential reading that will give you lots of helpful tips and advice.

This toolkit is great for anyone looking to get into book reviewing. As someone who is fairly new to the book review scene, I will be taking in some of these tips immediately. I wish I had this when I first started. I would love to see this linked in the welcome email when people set up a NetGalley account. I'm off now to go up my bookstagram game!

We are Bookish has helped me generate this book review. This book is different because it shows you how to navigate NetGalley and how to have a positive view on doing reading reviews. You should care if making an 80% review rate is important to you. I know I care. I am new here, and would like to give the best feedback there is book review wise.
The book gives information on how to write a review successfully. You have tips on how to connect via social media. The different types of reviews you can give and what platforms may work best for your review style. The book gives great information on how to get publishers to approve your requests, and also how to not over extend yourself by going request crazy. If you are like me this needs to be stated several times in the book, and it is. Thank you We Are Bookish, you know your audience.
Over all this was a 30 minute or less read ,it was very graphic, and was easy to follow. I would recommend this be the first book you start with on Net Galley if you can.

A very useful guide, especially for new reviewers; I've been reviewing and blogging for several years and found some useful tips here. The guide includes all aspects, including improving your Netgalley profile, and using various forms of social media, hashtags, and tools such as Canva. It is set out in a very engaging and user friendly way using graphics with hyperlinks to more detailed articles.

A great idea to produce this guide and its one that I shall refer to in future.

This toolkit is a wonderful starting point for anyone interested in beginning their reviewing/bookish social media journey, and it is also a really helpful refresh for those that have been in the business of reviewing for a while. I've used bookstagram for four years now, and found particularly helpful the tips about hashtags, regular NetGalley profile updates, and review writing. Though I am not interested in creating BookTube or BookTok content, there are resources for those who are, and the toolkit does a good job of describing the benefits of different content sites. I'd recommend this to anyone who reviews books!

Very helpful!

The little toolkit is filled with useful info, from how to set up your blog, Instagram and Tik Tok to how to write a better review. I learned a lot from it!

A really helpful guide that covers a range of social media platforms. My main two are Twitter and Instagram, both of which are included. I actually never noticed campaign hashtags before within Netgalley but I wish I had! These are really helpful and will be used from now on. My mistake!

There are tips to show you how to get seen on the platforms, but one massive issue I've discovered is that on Instagram, when you follow certain hashtags, Instagram only shows you posts under those hashtags that are really popular and already have tons of likes. Is there a way to get around aspects like this to higher your following? I struggle getting seen, getting likes, gaining followers. The only way I've managed to grow is by follower trains. When my reach hits a low, I tend to post a picture of one of my pets. For some reason, this bulks my likes. I just cannot work out how to get seen organically.

I definitely think all book reviewers should get a copy of this, as even if they are doing pretty well as a book reviewer, this guide could still point out a thing or two.
