This is such a great toolkit! Clear and to the point, and with simple, bold graphics that make it so easy to read. It doesn't feel like you're trawling through loads of pointless info. It is probably most useful for people just starting out on their book reviewing/blogging/tokking/gramming/tubing journey - yeah, there's a lot of options in Book Review World and this guide gives a really good, concise overview of all of them. It is also a good refresher course for those that have been doing it for awhile, or if you're looking to branch out into another channel it provides good starting points. I was impressed that it included guides for inclusive posting, which is something that most people want to do, but can be hard to navigate or to ensure you're doing correctly. It even offers tips for photo editing, which is really handy because many reviewers might be great with words, but struggle with photography.
If I had any criticisms, it would be that the guide can make it feel like you should be doing ALL the reviewing channels, which would be more than a full-time job in itself! Perhaps a little bit more detail on navigating hashtags and what sort to use would be handy, though tips like ensuring that you don't always post the maximum amount on Youtube are really handy, and something I didn't know previously.
Overall this is one of the best, most visually appealing guides out there for getting started with book reviewing. Clearly the team at Netgalley know what they're doing!
Super helpful! I learned so much from this well-organized tips and tricks for making your Netgalley profile one that truly represents you as a reader as well as ideas for all social media posting and tagging and designing. I need help with my design - I just post a pic of the cover. Blah! I learned through reading this to use apps such as Canva to easily add interest. I’m going to work on my profile and incorporate the ideas immediately! This is a keeper and a must for anyone who loves reading and reviewing. Thanks to NetGalley for the copy!

Thank you netgalley for complimentary copy.
This toolkit is so useful! Everything is written clearly and to the point, with pretty graphics that allow me to absorb all of the important tips quickly. I especially love the "Dos and Don'ts," so I know exactly what to avoid when posting reviews. Thank you so much We Are Bookish! I'm so glad I read this toolkit before writing my first review!
Thank you, We Are Bookish for this wonderful pdf! I have been happy, so far, with the response I have had with getting approvals, but there is always room for improvement. This book has a number of ideas for promoting and improving my social media presence. Well done!
This is such an excellent resource for getting started on NetGalley. I am a newer user and the checklists and guides helped me learn more about reviewing!
This was very helpful! I am fairly new to NetGalley reviewing and there were so many helpful tips on how to build your profile and how to make reviews. Highly recommend reading if you are new!

This book was informative on how to improve NetGalley profile and increase chances of being approved by publishers.
This is a great booklet with many helpful tools about using social media and how to get ARC's from NetGalley. I will read this more than once.
I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review.
It was really wonderful to get a sense of how NetGalley thought users would best thrive using their platform. This is a FANTASTIC resource for newbies but also a good source of inspiration for people who have been around for a while.
Thank you for putting this together in such an easy to read way. The layout and graphics really did help, as it felt less like a rule book and more of a fun scrapbook of tips.
Excellent toolkit! Such a great resource for newbies and experienced reviewers! I appreciated the reminders and even found some new ideas -- like using Canva for creating a logo. Most of the topics presented have been ingrained, but it surely doesn't hurt to get a refresher once in a while. I really liked that the newer platforms such as TikTok and YouTube and the Instagram video features were mentioned. I personally don't use video reviews, but I'm glad that they were included in the toolkit.
The cover wasn't that great in my opinion. To me it was pretty drab, but who am I to criticize? Maybe something more eyecatching?
I created a book blog, but I seem to think that it's pass'e now that there are other platforms that can provide snippets instead of lengthly reviews. In my opinion, people these days just want short and sweet and Instagram and Twitter provides that .
The NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a really useful resource. It starts with a really comprehensive overview of NetGalley itself, information on the feedback ratios and the importance of not falling under 80%, also the need to keep one’s profile is up to date and the need to keep it current. The tips on writing reviews and the embedded links to the BookIsh website were really insightful. The social media information section was really interesting, including Booktube, blogs, Instagram, etc.
I think it would be a really useful guide for all new NetGalley reviewers to be given when they join.
Love this. It's a great tool to get some excellent tips, not only for those just starting the netgalley journey but for anyone that needs help with their reviews, profile or social media sharing.
