Thank you for the tips. I want to excel in the book review world and I think this will help. Very clearly written out and organised.
It was interesting, and I definitely learned some things from it (like scheduling a review day! I'm definitely going to be trying that).
Although I found the general tips too general — anyone who has been using NetGalley for long enough will have read them before.
My favourite part were the book review tips. I was hoping to get more like that.
I just reviewed NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit by We Are Bookish. #BookAdvocateToolkit #NetGalley So helpful! I wish I had read this before I wrote my first review.
An incredibly helpful guide for navigating the request and review processes on the Netgalley platform.
As I read and write voraciously, I discovered Net Galley’s guide to writing reviews when I signed up to read and review advanced copies of new authors and their latest works or just simply know what new books are coming out soon. I highly recommend this book be a part of any book reviewer’s toolkit. I am new to the Net Galley platform, and I continue to use this book to guide me when sending reviews to Net Galley, publishers, or retailers. It is a valuable resource for anyone wishing to start a small book review freelance gig, or for those of us who just simply enjoy reading new authors in genres we love. A solid four-star guidebook. Thank you to Net Galley for the digital copy. This opinion is entirely my own.
This in-depth guide to all things NetGalley was so informative. This seriously answered any questions I might have, not only about NetGalley but about book content creation as well. This was so incredibly helpful and I am so grateful for NetGalley for providing this for us.
This is good, thorough. At first I tried to follow the suggestions. I have stopped writing a synopsis. To avoid spoilers, it's difficult to write one that differs significantly from the publisher's description. And it's annoying and tiring to read a bunch of them, which are all basically the same, when researching what others thought of a book. Who cares? I think my comments provide evidence that I did in fact read the book. Also, writing stuff I find tedious keeps me from writing any review at all. So, great guide, but I'm taking two stars off for the synopsis recommendation. Boring. Waste of time. Makes me give up and avoid NetGalley. As if I couldn't "paraphrase" existing synopses that are all basically identical.
Super easy read, with some great ideas and tips for writing reviews and social media posting. Thanks for this NetGalley 😊
A interesting and helpful guide for newcomers to NetGalley filled with helpful tips and advice. Thankyou for making this so readily available.
this "book" includes tips for getting approved on netgalley, but also how to write reviews and have a bookish presence online. I thought this was really helpful, especially the netgalley tips. this would be a good, quick read for people who want to create bookish content online and have no idea where to start or wanting to get net galley arcs and don't know how to. I should've read this before i started really using netgalley. I really enjoyed all the tips, even though some of them I knew already, and even wrote notes about them.
A thoughtful guide on how to use NetGalley. It has a lot of good tips and information that I put into practice going forward
Thank you to NetGalley for providing us with this very resourceful advocate toolkit which I been using over the past few months.
The NetGalley Toolkit is like a lifesaver for newcomers in the book community. It gives you all these amazing tips on how to review books and write thoughtful critiques. It's seriously a game-changer!
Thank you for creating this toolkit with lots of advice on creating an online presence with various platforms. You not only have an overview but also some specific tips and hints. I like that the format is easy to access. 4 stars.
This toolkit was very helpful, as I am new to NetGalley, and also have a fairly new bookstagram account. I particularly appreciated the #HashtagTips and Bookstagram 101 information. The links to extra tips were very nice- they kept the clutter on the page to a minimum, yet increased the knowledge the toolkit provided. I feel more confident in moving forward with NetGalley because of this toolkit.
I have been struggling with creating and noticing that it is not getting the attention it deserves. I have taken feedback from several other creators but I am at a loss.
However this Toolkit has offered me helpful ways to create reviews and share content that I believe will be fruitful in my future content.
While this was short and sweet, the graphics and easy to read tips were incredibly helpful and offered easy to follow instructions on helping you grow as an ARC reader for NetGalley.
I have already begun implementing these tips including changing up my bio and focusing on simple and unique pictures for Instagram.
If you are new to ARCS or NetGalley I highly recommend downloading this and taking a look at how you can be more successful in this industry.
The Book Advocate Toolkit provides an easy to follow guideline on how to interact with books, publishers, and authors as an ARC reviewer or a generalized reviewer as well no matter how long the piece has been published. Will be using this information in the future to help me navigate the reviewer process. Thank you NetGalley!
This is an incredibly useful guide to how to use NetGalley to its full potential! Thank you to the team for creating it :)
This book advocate toolkit is full of helpful advice and offers answers to frequently asked questions. The Do's and Don't's succinctly offer insight and practical advice for reviewers, as well as breaking down different reviewer categories. The Blog Review Formats page was a fun glimpse into different styles. I appreciate how colorful, informative, and easy to navigate this tool kit is! Thank you to NetGalley for creating this volume and providing it at no cost so that I could write this review.
I'm on the beginning of my journey with NetGalley and I found this toolkit book very helpful. It contains a lot of useful information and tips how to start and improve your profile. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to improve their profile and reading skills.
