This was a helpful guide for understanding how to structure reviews and what kind of feedback and information is good to include in my reviews.
This guide provided a great starting point as someone who is fairly new to formally reviewing books. It’s allowed me to be confident in sharing my opinion but also understanding what is helpful for people to see in a review.
I can see myself referring back to this guide to ensure my reviews are in check. I’d recommend all new NetGalley users check it out!
This was really helpful! Thank you for providing reviewers with this amazing resource. I’ve been reviewing books on and off for years and it was nice to have specific guidelines set out and to know what the expectation is in order to level up my book reviews.

I had an issue downloading this book for some reason. I have successfully gotten the revision and I'm looking forward to learning some new info.
Thank you for creating such great content. This was very helpful in starting off this journey. As a former library employee, educator, and now book reviewer, I found this to be very helpful. A great starting tool that is helping me to fulfill an aspect of my life that I am newly exploring.
I wish this had existed back in 2018 when I joined. I didn't understand the concept initially and requested loads of books which I'd never have been able to read before they were archived. A great guide to talking about books on social media.
A great resource that I have referred back to multiple times after reading it! Advice on how to bookstagram, review, and support authors through social media.
This guide book is a great introduction to the world of reviews. One of the most helpful pieces of advice is to avoid going on request sprees. When I first learned of NetGalley, I was extremely excited and wanted to request so many books. It makes sense to slow down and only do a few reviews at a time. This better serves the reviewer by not overloading yourself, and makes it more likely you’ll be able to deliver on the promised review.
Also, the advice not to tag authors in negative reviews of important. There’s no reason to do that. Reviews are for readers. You don't need to let authors know that you didn't like their book.
There are some great basic tips in this book to help lead to review success.
I do think the cover is a bit busy. It could be simplified as it’s hard to see all the parts of the cover especially when viewing on a mobile device.
Especially the Bookstagram content was really helpful. I agree to others saying NetGalley should send this to you right after signing up because I know many will have use for it. Love the layout, they really tried to not make the amount of text overwhelming.
This book is very informative and I will aim to make my future reviews follow this more closely. Highly recommend.
For a beginner this is good feedback! I will try whatever is mentioned in the book. It's nice that they also included atuff on how to improve your bookstagram or blog account!
This book should automatically get sent to users when they sign up for NetGalley. It is helpful, especially starting off.
As a new reviewer I found this a great way to craft my first serious book review. Besides its helpful content I also loved the illustrations.
