Tysm for making this for us netgalley newbs. It was informative and helpful.
I'm sure it will help me get my score up.
Even though I’ve been using NetGalley for over a year now, I found this toolkit to be very helpful. I’m just now branching out to social media as I’ve always preferred Goodreads. But I know that I can reach more people if I try out Twitter or instagram so giving it a go. Lots of helpful advice for newcomers and even those like me who already know the basics. Will definitely be referring to this as needed to help me create better content and reviews!
Really helpful, I am glad that I have read this guide. It gives nice advice and helps with some specific things. I really liked that a part focussed on accessibility because it is so important and yet so many bookish accounts choose to ignore those facts.
Very informative, helpful and overall a very nice toolkit to have in your backpocket while reviewing books!
This short guide was very helpful. It gave simple ways to improve your reviews and social postings. It had simple step-by-step tips for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and blogs.
If you're brand new to reviewing (like me), this is the perfect guide for you!
The systematically put together toolkit provides you with everything that you need to know while starting out on Netgalley and other book reviewing platforms. It's short and crisp with infographics that are easy to understand.
Happy reading and reviewing!
Thank you Netgalley and We Are Bookish for putting this together.
Great resources. I didn't know it would be a mandatory review when I got added to Netgalley. I think it could be helpful to others.
I found this guide to be super helpful in rounding out my reviews and long term goals with reviews. I love guides/tools that are easy to read actually work.
The NetGalley Advocate Toolkit" by We Are Bookish is an invaluable resource for new reviewers. It's incredibly detailed and informative, and I've found it helpful with my first NetGalley review. The toolkit offers tips on using hashtags, content planning tips, bookstagram photo ideas, creating designs on Canva, and much more. I'm very grateful for this comprehensive guide!
This book was a great help with creating my NetGalley account and adding things to my profile that will advertise myself to publishers and authors. This also was a major help in finding tools to create content for Instagram and tiktok. I will frequently be checking back at this book to make sure I am hitting all the marks in my reviewer journey that will help set me apart from other reviewers.
This is a very handy guide for using netgalley, it is great for people starting out! The colour scheme is really fun an inviting and the links that take you directly to what they are referencing is so handy!
I would recommend this to any new starter here!
This toolkit has been very useful for me. I now know how to write effective reviews without being verbose. The toolkit has helped me learn to write fluidly what I found appealing in a book and what I didn't find appealing.
I appreciated this NetGalley Book Advocate Toolkit!
As a newer member here, I learned a lot, especially concerning how publishers view my Feedback Ratio.
Thank you for putting together this resource guide with helpful visuals to help us maximize our impact on NetGalley!
This is such a good book. I’ve been reviewing books for a while now (quite a few years) and sometimes it’s hard to know what to say. This book breaks down reviewing into easy steps. I loved the e top tips and could see the advice given, would be very useful for children in school as a guide to book reviewing. The layout was eye catching and very easy to follow.
I have been using NetGalley for about half a year now, and I consulted most of NetGalley's Help section when I started out. However, I must say it is very handy just to have this all laid out like this instead of having to click around the website to find the answers.
With checkboxes to ensure you are on the right track, this is a perfect interactive way to get your brain thinking. It also means you can print off the PDF pages to check the boxes too!
I feel NetGalley should automatically send new users this booklet as a compulsory booklet to read, and also means that they can have this book shelved after sending feedback so they already have the 100% feedback rate to begin browsing books of their choice.
This is a really nice toolkit to get people started with NetGalley and reviewing in general! There are a lot of great tips for how to write reviews, where to publish them, and some tips on review etiquette. I especially liked the information on starting book blogs or bookish accounts on social media such as Instagram and YouTube. I’ve thought about starting something like that as I have started to write more reviews myself, and there is good information here about how to get started!
This book is a great onboarding for reviewers new to NetGalley. I appreciated its helpful tips on how to get started on the website, and how to optimize personal social accounts for book reviews.
I recently opened a tiktok for both myself as a aspiring author, but also to share my reading recommendations. This guide is so helpful to help me figure out my path with this new account. Thank you for the toolkit. Can't wait to see more!!!
This is such a great document, a step by step guide explaining how to be successful with your NetGalley reviews. I learned so much from this document. It is set out so that it is easy to read and understand. It also gives great advice on how to succeed on Social Media platforms. Having just started a separate Bookstagram account this was very useful. Thank you NetGalley for another great guide.
This was a solid toolkit. There were a few tips I hadn't heard before, which was nice. The others served as good reminders.
I disagree on the bold and italics tip. Those font styles can be used in moderation with no problem of readability. Overuse is the issue with those (and all caps).
Overall, this was a good collection of social media tips for book reviewers.
