This was a helpful tool to understanding NetGalley! While not particularly thrilling, this did give great insight into how to best-use the platform to read and review new books.

NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is a well-curated list of suggestions and best practices to help site users get the most out of their experience on NetGalley. It includes the basics of requesting and reviewing books, guidelines about how to grow your presence on social media, and more.

As a relatively new book reviewer, I really appreciated the specificity and layout of this guide. The bullet points about how to write both glowing and critical reviews were helpful. I appreciated the breakdown of the different social media options and choosing the best platform based on your personality and reviewing style. It even taught me more about hashtagging than I ever could have possibly known! The formatting of the guide was inviting, with lots of text bubbles and color-coding to help me keep track of the various suggestions. I think this book has something for everyone from a beginner to a seasoned reviewer.

Thanks NetGalley for this toolkit to help me jumpstart my newfound hobby! I can't wait to read more advanced review copies of new books.

From the format on what your bio should contain to how to make a post on social media, this book leaves reviewers with the ability to hit the ground running. I appreciated the links to other pages and the samples of photos when examples were given.

The book was a really helpful guide on how to use the site- I loved how it broke everything down and the formatting made it easy to follow. The graphics were fun and did not make the page seem cluttered. I feel like I gained understanding of how the process works and am now more confident.

I received an review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I found this short book really helpful, I have been reviewing books for just over a year now and thought I would benefit from a few tips to improve my work and maybe even my reach. This book had loads of great tips in a short snappy format and even has links to get further information on the areas you may need more advice in.

I found this kit useful in kick-starting my journey as a reviwer + bookstagrammer.

I like how the points are well organised and written in a concise yet easy to understand manner.

Very helpful and informative guide for new reviewers! It really helped me understand how to format my reviews. However, I wasn’t really expecting to have to give feedback on it with it impacting my ratio so that threw me off.
