This was such a quick read and really helped me feel confident to utilize all the different tools Netgalley offers. The tips for different social media platforms was easy to understand and put into action right away. I feel very confident after reading this book I will be able to help support authors and publishers highlight new books as well as increase my confidence in writing reviews.

I took the leap and feel much more prepared and excited after reading the toolkit. Love the lists of Dos and Don’ts and that it provided specific information for the various platforms.

I should have done this review a long time ago but I am embarrassed to say that I did not due to the habit of reading the pdf and neglecting the toolkit title here on the site. This toolkit is a lovely summary on all the staples of book requesting, maintaining feedback ratio, types of reviews, and social media. It is a fantastic resource when starting out new as well as a great refresher when you may have writer’s block.

Very helpful tips to turn you into a pro reviewer. Helps you to understand that when requesting books you need to look at what the publishers are looking for.
Awesome tips on how to set out your review and how to make in an effective one.
And reminds you to tell your audience that you received it in exchange for your honest review.

Netgalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit by We Are Bookish has a lot of great useful information for starting out on Netgalley. It gives helpful tips and tricks for writing reviews, and for posting to social media sites. It is a short and concise aid that helps the reviewer prepare for the reviews they will be doing and making sure they understand all the important information needed to get approved for Advanced Reader Copies and grow a following for their book reviews.

This is a super helpful toolkit to help you get started with reviewing books. The format is cute and easy-to-follow. I will definitely be referring back to this in the future!

As a new member, I found this book to be extremely helpful. I learned how NetGalley works— most importantly, the things I should do and things I must avoid as a book reviewer. Overall, I'm so grateful that I took some time reading this.

I was impressed with and surprised by how thorough this toolkit is and appreciated the way it was organized. I read it in the downloaded PDF format and the fact that the table of contents are all hyperlinked to that specific page is a *chefs kiss* level of helpfulness. The kit breaks down into categories such as book reviews, bookish social media, strategy etc and includes content relevant to not just Netgalley but all the platforms a bookish babe (or dude) might want or need to use.

My only regret is that I didn’t start my Netgalley journey by reading this first. This toolkit is an incredible resource and I will be revisiting to recommend and share with others looking for guidance/best practices for sure! Appropriate for both brand new bookish babes and those who’ve been around for ages! P.S.-I also really appreciated the colorful fun layout to keep even this ADHD gal engaged with the visual interest and the fact that they touch on accessibility with fonts and descriptive text etc!
