Wow, this little guy really packs a punch. I’ve been on NetGalley for a while now, but I hadn’t read this book yet, and it shows. I learned so much about how to (properly) set up my social media presence, how to review books in a more efficient (and effective) way, how to make sure my reviews will reach my target audience, and so much more. It has the perfect balance of information and links for further study. I’m so glad I finally got around to reading it, and I saved every single linked webpage to a central bookmark folder on my phone for further study. I highly recommend that every NetGalley member devour this handy little guide. Thanks, NetGalley! You guys rock for sure!

This book had some excellent tips about how to get the most out of your NetGalley experience. I am so appreciative of the opportunity to read ARCs for free (it almost seems too good to be true), and I want to make sure I do everything I can to support the books I read, while at the same time giving honest and useful feedback. This was short and to the point. If you’ve been reviewing for a while you might find some of this is information you already know. Newbies on the other hand will find it demystified the process in a concise way.

I appreciated the focus on finding platforms that are right for the reviewer rather than feeling pressured to try them all. Plus the tips on programs to create artwork were unexpected and very useful. Still, I’d like a more advanced version for those of us who have been at this for a while.

I had been looking for a book like this for a long time. I joined NetGalley only recently. I have started reviewing books I've read recently as well, and some times I've been unsure about what to write, how to give proper justice to a book I've read and loved. This very intuitive book gives many amazing tips about how to write reviews and use NetGalley with respect to the authors and publishers, with additional very useful links to online material. It gives tips about how to share reviews on social media as well. I'm going to keep this as a personal guide to reread to help and encourage me in the writing process of a book review.
