As a new NetGalley member, reviewer, & bookstagrammer, I found this toolkit incredibly helpful! Because the book community is one that I love & respect, I wanted to make sure that I was starting off on the right foot with my contributions. I really loved how the toolkit breaks everything down into easily digestible bits, with visuals that keep things interesting, along with links to additional resources. It’s clear that NetGalley anticipated that entering a new world & learning a new language can be overwhelming, so the toolkit covers the basics but they made sure that they provided access to additional information if you need it. While all the content wasn’t specifically relevant to me - I am not going to utilize platforms like YouTube & TikTok - I appreciated that the toolkit was inclusive to all audiences & I learned a lot about how I should manage my little corner of Bookstagram, along with helpful information about accessibility that I either hadn’t thought of or didn’t know was an available feature. I believe that every book advocate would benefit from this toolkit, whether you’re just starting out, need some inspiration, or if you’re thinking of tackling a new platform. Thank you, NetGalley for providing this toolkit!
This toolkit has everything you need as a beginner reviewer! We are Bookish did an excellent job at addressing any and all needs when reviewing for social media and publishers. Including tips on photos, hashtags, and more! A go to guide that I will return to again and again!
This kit is a great resource for providing direction as you start or grow your NetGalley reviewer presence. It gave me some helpful ideas for building my profile to increase the odds of being approved for my requested books as I help promote the many authors I’m reading here.
Thanks for the helpful tips, it will come in useful as I start on my journey to reviewing books. It is well designed and in bitesize pieces that I can quickly refer back to for reference.
NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is very helpful for new book reviewers on NetGalley. I highly recommend reading it if you are lost on how everything works on Netgalley or are a bit overwhelmed. There is also some helpful information for starting a bookstagram, booktok etc.
As a newcomer, I found this a super helpful guide to navigating NetGalley and book review spaces. The toolkit is easy to navigate and visually appealing. There is a ton of info packed in here, so I'm definitely bookmarking so that I can continue to reference it.
Very helpful, brilliant advice and visually interesting.
Links to further information are great and keep the core document sharp. Very new to reviewing and this is a great tool for beginners, will be rereading and using this document in the future and browsing all the available information.
This is such a great tool for anyone new to Netgalley and even as a refresher for those already on Netgalley as it's continuously updated as reviewing tips change! It was very easy to read and understand and covers all the bases for any type of review. I found the feedback ratio tips, especially helpful.
This was very helpful. It give me a lot of advice I was looking for and some that I didn't even know that I was. Definitely something that everyone should read.
This was a very helpful guide to get me started. It contained a lot of good information as well as good tips to use in the future.
Great tool for NetGalley users. Very informative and easy to read/understand. Thank you for creating this tool for us to use when we are getting started.
This is great with clear guidelines and simple instructions, perfect for anyone just starting out or in need of a refresher. Very useful!
Though I found this helpful, what I'd really love to see is it to be available to send to Kindle. For a wiser person like me (read: OLD), I find reading on my Kindle so much easier than the netgalley shelf on my iPhone.
Other than that, helpful tips in a conversational manner.
Such an amazing guide to help even the begginers at getting pro in NetGalley. Thank you for making this available.
If you're new to book reviewing, NetGalley, or both, NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a helpful guide both in navigating the site, and defining your personal book review process. The resource is constantly being updated, and provides enough guidance, in order to help with requesting, promoting, and simply using NetGalley.
Nice book, good to start with.......................................................................................
There are some good tips in this toolkit that I thought were helpful. I especially liked the book review and bookstagram tips. I also liked the advice on how to keep up your feedback ratio (something I struggle with since I tend to go on request sprees!). This is a useful toolkit to keep on hand.
This is an excellent intro to NetGalley! The info is presented in a digestible format with cute graphics. For more complex topics (best practices for writing a critical review, for example), it’s convenient to simply click an embedded link and be taken to a more comprehensive blog post on that specific topic. This toolkit answered all of my initial questions and more.
Great introduction to success on NetGalley!
NETGALLEY'S BOOK ADVOCATE TOOLKIT is a helpful resource for both beginners and anyone looking for new tips and tricks across book review platforms. The tips on content planning, hashtags, tagging authors, and how to get book approvals on NetGalley are all really helpful.
Really appreciate this quick, simple resource from NetGalley's We Are Bookish team and know I'll be referencing this again in the future when I want a getting-back-to-basics refresh.
This is a lot more helpful than I originally expected. There’s plenty of tips and tricks & dos and don’ts to be aware of. There’s even tips to help you post successfully for each individual social media platform, so you can make good content no matter which platform you share on. Highly recommend for anyone who is exploring Netgalley or even just posting their book content on social media.
